We are looking for two passionate and motivated individuals to join our team as Technical Officer (Nature Positive), to support the work of our Business & Nature team including the development of corporate nature strategies, supply chain frameworks and landscape initiatives for nature.

You will get involved in wide ranging projects and activities, across different geographies and sectors including mining, renewable energy, food and agriculture, and tourism. The British Academy – the UK’s national body for the humanities and social sciences - is seeking an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Manager to join our Governance & Fellowship Office, providing key support in the delivery of the Academy’s overall EDI ambitions across all aspects of its work.
The Role
Working closely with the Academy’s senior management and workstream leads within other teams, you will oversee the delivery of the Academy’s ambitious EDI activity and strategy. With experience of supporting and delivering EDI initiatives in similar contexts (HE, research funding, fellowship bodies or the charity sector), you will be responsible for both overseeing current and ongoing EDI activity, as well as initiating new areas of work as needed.
You will need excellent communication skills, to be able to liaise and report internally across all levels but also to provide high-quality external communications and act as an ambassador for the Academy and its work.
You will have up-to-date knowledge of the statutory and best-practice contexts of EDI matters and be able to bring these to inform the Academy’s activity, acting as both internal adviser across Teams and the Fellowship and an ally for staff, researchers and the audiences we serve. You will have an understanding of the specific EDI challenges within the UK HE funding and research sector, and work closely with internal and external partners to develop responses and new initiatives. You will have the opportunity to design and deliver new EDI initiatives, but also to influence our governance and accountability processes to ensure EDI outcomes are measurable and effective. You will play a key role in implementing the Academy’s cross-cutting EDI strategy, and ensuring this is evidence-based and supports our role as a key player in the UK HE and Research landscape.
This post sits within the Governance and Fellowship Office and reports directly to the Head of Fellowship Engagement & Governance. This Team supports the Chief Executive and the President of the British Academy, as well as its executive and strategic committees (Council and Senior Management Team). The Office also provides core Fellowship support, including their biannual meetings, nomination and election processes and a number of Fellowship engagement activities. This means that not only will your EDI activity be embedded across the main governance functions of the Academy, but you will also have the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders and decision makers across all of our work.

We are recruiting a Logistics Manager who will provide leadership across UK EMT partners in ensuring effective logistics arrangements for UK EMT deployment of health facilities including the Type 2 field hospital. Our ideal candidate will bring significant experience of providing logistics support in the humanitarian sector (expected to be at least 5 years) including in insecure environments. You will have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and be able to bring together people from a range of organisations, cultures and perspectives into a coherent team.

JOB PURPOSE
In a busy and changing environment, you will work as part of the Programmes and Partnerships’ Team. Changing Futures is a £64 million joint initiative by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government and The National Lottery Community Fund. Its aim is for local organisations to work in partnership to improve support for people who are experiencing multiple disadvantage. Through Changing Futures in Greater Manchester, Shelter works in partnership with Greater Manchester Combined Authority, locality partnerships and other VCSE and community partners and we ensure lived experience is at the heart of design, delivery and systems change. About the role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Programme Associate to provide programmatic support to a portfolio of Internews’ projects in the Europe & Eurasia (E&E) region. The role will be part of the Internews’ headquarters E&E Project Management
Unit (PMU) and report to the London-based Senior Programme Officer. The role will support the project teams in the E&E region as they conduct their project activities and help ensure.
Effective programme implementation, particularly related to project reporting, work planning, and monitoring, evaluation, research and learning (MERL). The role will contribute to development opportunities that support E&E media and journalists to safely provide good quality information. The role may also be asked to represent Internews at partner and donor meetings. The role will also contribute to Internews’ knowledge management and improvement of Internews systems.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the project teams across all programmatic and operational aspects of European-funded grant programmes to implement high-quality projects on time and budget, and to the highest technical standards, and in a way that positions projects within a broader regional or thematic portfolio and contributes to organisational impact.
- Assist PMU management with project oversight and progress towards programme deliverables.
- Support project start-up, implementation, and closeout.
- Support with hiring key project personnel.
- Serve as an HQ point of contact for programmatic inquiries for assigned projects within the organisation and externally.
- Guide the project teams on rules and requirements of European donors and Internews’ internal policies and procedures.
- Work closely with the E&E Business team on business aspects of project delivery, including budget management and financial tracking.
- Review and revise donor narrative reports and workplans and ensure their high quality.
- Review and provide feedback on relevant programmatic and monitoring aspects, including MERL reporting, external project evaluation, and other research and studies;
- Support internal and external communication for projects, identifying newsworthy, impactful stories and preparing content or briefings which tell those stories; undertake external representation and policy engagement where necessary.
- As assigned, support the design and development of concept notes and proposals for European donors.
- Support meetings, webinars, and other events across time zones with international partners and fellow colleagues, including coordinating agendas and travel logistics.
- Attend relevant events (panels, presentations, etc.) upon request, and share notes with the team.

INCOME GENERATION

Support the Director of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications on the implementation of the fundraising strategy, in line with changing landscape with a core focus on corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, company giving and general appeals;

Collaborate on ideas for creative sponsorship and funding opportunities in line with our strategic ambitions and develop and submit high quality and compelling funding proposals and tender documents to unlock funding;

Work with key stakeholders, including our Policy and Programme delivery teams to scope and develop exciting new project proposals;

Develop and grow the pipeline, identifying opportunities for funding from a range of sources, primarily corporate partners but also engaging, trusts & foundations and statutory sources.

PARTNERSHIPS MANAGEMENT

Support the management of existing donor relationships through working closely with the Director of Programmes & Partnerships and Programme Management Teams across the organisation;

Charity People are pleased to be supporting Tempo Time Credits, a charity that brings people together in local communities to carry out valued and important voluntary work, with their search for a Programmes & Partnership Manager based in Mid & North Wales.
Tempo Time Credits started 15 years ago and is an ambitious movement that empowers, encourages, and engages people from all walks of life, from communities across the UK, to get involved and volunteer. For example, befriending or helping to improve outdoor spaces. Volunteers earn Tempo Time Credits as part of a reward and recognition which can be exchanged for a range of services and activities provided by our local and national partners.
In these challenging times, community support is more crucial than ever. Tempo stands at the forefront having engaged with 40 commissioned programmes, collaborated with 1,500 charities, empowered over 15,000 volunteers, issued over 1 million Time Credits, cultivated 750+ business venues offering rewards, and pioneered the world's first national Time Credit network.
Funded by the Welsh Government the Tempo Time Credits Cymru programme builds Time Credit networks across Wales and empowers communities to support pathways to inclusion and volunteering. As the Tempo Time Credits Cymru Programme and Partnership Manager, you will play a pivotal role in cultivating relationships and opportunities in Mid & North Wales.
Key responsibilities:
- Management contracts, staff and resources: You will ensure all programmes are delivered within budget, and you will oversee contracts and reporting, producing convincing reports that show impact and delivery of KPIs.
- Oversight of networks delivery and performance: You will oversee programme planning and network management. You'll map out community groups, service and business partners and set up project activities and events, including training and workshops for network partners and key partner staff.
- Stakeholder relationship management and reporting: You will develop and maintain positive relationships with key funders and stakeholders in the region. You will also oversee reporting on programmes and ensure evaluation data collection and dissemination.
- Development and implementation of local strategic plans: You will oversee implementation of regional plans, including coordination of priorities and allocation of resource.
- Profile raising and sustainability: You will speak at and attend events and meetings with potential funders and explore opportunities for growth/ You'll also oversee contract renewal process including development of sustainability plans or new delivery models and contract signing.
- Innovation, learning & development across the organisation: You will feed into innovation and development work through sharing learning and best practice across the organisation, and supporting development of systems and approaches.
The Programme and Partnership Manager will have proven experience in community development, stakeholder engagement and contract management. They will have a passion for heritage conservation and community development, and will be an inspiring leader, keen to develop their team. You will have strong communication skills, including presentations and report writing, and you will have experience facilitating workshops and training.
You will also have experience working with communities, public and voluntary sectors, the ability to influence others, and have experience designing and implementing new initiatives. Most importantly, the successful candidate will be proactive and passionate about communities and creating positive, lasting change, with an awareness of the voluntary sector and its opportunities and challenges.This role will require flexibility regarding working hours, including evenings and weekends when required. It also will involve significant regional travel, with some national travel and overnight stays. You'll need the ability to travel independently. This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS child and adult barred list.
