About us
Who we are
Resurgo means to ‘rise up again’. We believe that everyone has a part to play in the transformation of society. If we each play our part, society will flourish.
We use our expertise in coaching and impact management to equip and empower businesses, churches and individuals to transform society.
Our flagship employability programme, Spear, equips young people who are facing barriers to work with the skills, confidence and mindset they need to succeed in their career. The award-winning programme runs in partnerships with churches across the UK, and has been evaluated as one of the best evidenced employability programmes by the UK Government’s Department of Work and Pensions Data Lab. 75% of those who complete the programme not only get into work or education, but also remain there a year later.
Resurgo is a Christian organisation working with all, irrespective of faith background, to achieve our shared vision more effectively.
Resurgo has been named one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2024. We also received the ERSA Youth Employment Award in 2024, and in 2017 we were awarded the Princess Royal Training Award, honouring outstanding internal training. We prioritise investing in and developing our staff as much as the organisations and young people that we work with.
If you have a vision for engaging in social impact in the UK, or are considering a career in the charity sector and want to be part of a faith-fuelled movement transforming society together, our job opportunities might be for you.
Our culture and values
In our experience, there are three main ingredients that bring about real change. So, we focus all our activities around them.
Expert coaching
Coaching is the lifeblood of everything we do. We deploy coaching techniques across all our external work, and internally with our own team.
Joining together
We can do far more when we come together with the whole community – businesses, neighbours, volunteers – to bring about lasting change.
Prioritising impact
Good intentions alone just won’t cut it. We prioritise measuring what our work achieves, and use these insights to drive improvement.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
Resurgo will ensure that no person receives less favourable treatment or consideration on the grounds of age, race, ethnic origin, sex, nationality, marital status, disability or sexual orientation; or be disadvantaged by any conditions of employment or requirements that cannot be legally justified as necessary on operational grounds. In accordance with Resurgo’s Ethos Statement and its working relationship with local churches, Resurgo will recruit practising Christians wherever there is a genuine occupational requirement to do so.
