This new Public Affairs and Communications Manager role will work closely with our Chief Executive and Heads of Services and is responsible for:

JOB DESCRIPTION
INCOME GENERATION
-
Support the Director of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications on the implementation of the fundraising strategy, in line with changing landscape with a core focus on corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, company giving and general appeals;

Collaborate on ideas for creative sponsorship and funding opportunities in line with our strategic ambitions and develop and submit high quality and compelling funding proposals and tender documents to unlock funding;
-
Work with key stakeholders, including our Policy and Programme delivery teams to scope and develop exciting new project proposals;
-
Develop and grow the pipeline, identifying opportunities for funding from a range of sources, primarily corporate partners but also engaging, trusts & foundations and statutory sources.

Maintain an effective database of contacts and stakeholders.
PARTNERSHIPS MANAGEMENT
-
Support the management of existing donor relationships through working closely with the Director of Programmes & Partnerships and Programme Management Teams across the organisation;

Ensure all funding and sponsorship terms and conditions are acknowledged, recorded and completed in a timely fashion;
-
Accurately maintain and update records and databases, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as any legal requirements;
-
Work with the Programmes Team to contribute to high-quality donor stewardship for existing and new partners, through timely communication, gift acknowledgement, and tailored stewardship plans.
STRATEGIC SUPPORT

Maintain knowledge and understanding of the UK fundraising scene in order to input into the development and evolution of the organisation's fundraising strategy.

Work collaboratively with the Fundraising & Partnerships Manager (Trusts & Foundations) to cover work, and ensure mutual learning and professional development

Provide relevant and timely information to the Director of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications for the purposes of reporting to the board.

Work closely with other key functions and teams on cross-team and organisation-wide initiatives as relevant, e.g., on workplace culture, capacity building;

Manage the Fundraising team inbox, ensuring any queries and requests are responded to or escalated in a timely manner;

Represent the organisation externally as required;
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

Stay abreast of donor trends, youth empowerment, and other topics relevant to the role and the organisation;

Adhere to The Diana Award’s safeguarding policies and procedures, escalating any issues arising to the Designated Safeguarding Leads.

EXPERIENCE

Contribution to / previous experience working on successful fundraising initiatives, including managing key partner relationships and writing funding applications on time and within budget to the satisfaction of all parties;

Experience developing fundraising material for prospects and funders, including pitch decks, periodic updates, and other donor-specific communication support;

Experience working in corporate fundraising with a willingness to explore other income streams.

Tempo Time Credits started 15 years ago and is an ambitious movement that empowers, encourages, and engages people from all walks of life, from communities across the UK, to get involved and volunteer. For example, befriending or helping to improve outdoor spaces. Volunteers earn Tempo Time Credits as part of a reward and recognition which can be exchanged for a range of services and activities provided by our local and national partners.
In these challenging times, community support is more crucial than ever. Tempo stands at the forefront having engaged with 40 commissioned programmes, collaborated with 1,500 charities, empowered over 15,000 volunteers, issued over 1 million Time Credits, cultivated 750+ business venues offering rewards, and pioneered the world's first national Time Credit network.
Funded by the Welsh Government the Tempo Time Credits Cymru programme builds Time Credit networks across Wales and empowers communities to support pathways to inclusion and volunteering. As the Tempo Time Credits Cymru Programme and Partnership Manager, you will play a pivotal role in cultivating relationships and opportunities in Mid & North Wales.
Key responsibilities:
- Management contracts, staff and resources: You will ensure all programmes are delivered within budget, and you will oversee contracts and reporting, producing convincing reports that show impact and delivery of KPIs.
- Oversight of networks delivery and performance: You will oversee programme planning and network management. You'll map out community groups, service and business partners and set up project activities and events, including training and workshops for network partners and key partner staff.
- Stakeholder relationship management and reporting: You will develop and maintain positive relationships with key funders and stakeholders in the region. You will also oversee reporting on programmes and ensure evaluation data collection and dissemination.
- Development and implementation of local strategic plans: You will oversee implementation of regional plans, including coordination of priorities and allocation of resource.
- Profile raising and sustainability: You will speak at and attend events and meetings with potential funders and explore opportunities for growth/ You'll also oversee contract renewal process including development of sustainability plans or new delivery models and contract signing.
- Innovation, learning & development across the organisation: You will feed into innovation and development work through sharing learning and best practice across the organisation, and supporting development of systems and approaches.
The Programme and Partnership Manager will have proven experience in community development, stakeholder engagement and contract management. They will have a passion for heritage conservation and community development, and will be an inspiring leader, keen to develop their team. You will have strong communication skills, including presentations and report writing, and you will have experience facilitating workshops and training.
You will also have experience working with communities, public and voluntary sectors, the ability to influence others, and have experience designing and implementing new initiatives. Most importantly, the successful candidate will be proactive and passionate about communities and creating positive, lasting change, with an awareness of the voluntary sector and its opportunities and challenges.This role will require flexibility regarding working hours, including evenings and weekends when required. It also will involve significant regional travel, with some national travel and overnight stays. You'll need the ability to travel independently. The Triangle of Care UK Programme Lead has responsibility for managing the implementation of the Triangle of Care. This dynamic quality improvement framework, pioneered by carers within secondary mental health settings and now recognised within wider national policy, is based on six principles which health and care providers can use to include and support unpaid carers, staff and those receiving care.

About You
The successful candidate will be employed by the IUCN UK Peatland Programme’s host organisation, The Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts. The new team member will be pivotal in the delivery of the Peatland Programme’s objectives to champion peatland values. They will have the level of knowledge and experience to drive forward and promote peatland restoration in the UK and be able to advocate the multiple benefits of peatlands through partnerships, strong science, sound policy and effective practice, and communication.
They are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Communications and Engagement Lead to drive and deliver the IUCN UK Peatland Programme’s communications activity to promote the benefits of healthy peatlands to a national audience. This will be done primarily through establishing and maintaining good relationships with external contacts and partners and using these networks to identify opportunities and to build the Programme’s reach. You will lead the production of communications materials through design and appropriate messaging, assist their advocacy work, and plan and deliver events such as online workshops and their annual conference.
They are looking for someone who is passionate about communicating peatlands to a wide audience and is creative and proactive in their approach. The peatland agenda has expanded exponentially over the last 10 years and you will need to be an excellent team player and networker to capture what is happening and communicate this to multiple partners and stakeholders. The Communications and Engagement Lead post is a standalone communications post within a small team (9 people) and your ability to quickly develop good relationships with partner organisations will be critical to your success in the role.
You will be lead on the delivery of the communications strand of the Peatland Programme’s activity. You should have experience of designing publications, creating digital content, newsletters, running stakeholder events and managing social media accounts. You will support the wider Peatland Programme team in networking, identifying opportunities for collaboration, as well as in the production of resources such as briefings and web content.

IRC UK was established in London in 1997 to support the organisation’s global activities and
particularly to diversify its donor base and be able to better advocate with European policy-makers on behalf of the people we serve. Since its establishment IRC UK has grown rapidly and is now acknowledged for its high-quality project management, technical expertise in governance and rights and economic recovery, and innovative thinking on early recovery and gender-based

IRC UK launched its first Resettlement Asylum and Integration (RAI) programme in the UK called RISE in 2021, working in partnership with local councils, to provide integration support to resettled refugees in Southeast England. The IRC now supports refugees and asylum seekers throughout England with employability, wellbeing and integration support as well as deliver capacity strengthening activities through our Healing Classrooms teacher trainings.
Job Overview
The UK Programme Finance Manager is the finance business partner for the IRC UKs programming supporting refugee integration in the UK. The role provides high-quality support to the RAI UK programming team, leading on the financial processes related to the delivery of UK programmes, from contract reviews to preparing budget proposals, financial planning, budgeting, reforecasting, reporting, performance monitoring, financial risk management, invoicing/transfers processes and maintaining the integrity of our accounts and policies. The position works strategically with the Director of Programmes to ensure best use of resources, seeking out efficiencies and improvements and developing multiyear financial plans.
Scope and Authority
The position is responsible for advising staff and grantees and working closely with the wider UK Finance team, UK programme teams and other RAI Finance staff in Europe. Key collaborations include, the Director of UK Programmes, Deputy Director of Finance RAI Europe, Financial Controller (UK). The position is required to manage and oversee project budgets. The position quality assures accuracy of donor budget and financial reports within respective portfolio and the submission of donor financial and narrative reports for a portfolio of grants and contracts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Budget Monitoring & Planning
- Coordinate with IRC HQ on updating/maintenance of operating budget and reforecasts.
- Preparation of budget guidelines to assist program managers in formulating budgets and spending plans
- Prepare project budgets to support the submission of timely, accurate and complete proposals to donors, ensuring that project budgets meet all donor guidelines
- Prepare scenario planning and mitigation measures to manage risk
- Provide country management and programme staff with monthly actual-to-budget expenditure reports (BvAs) and analysis for all grants, contracts and unrestricted funds, identify risks that may lead to overspending or underspending and address them in close cooperation with grant management and program teams
- Coordination with programme team to set up and implement work plans for production of finance reports per grant; prepare project financial reports (interim, annual, final)
- Prepare monthly management accounts and hold senior management meetings to review
- Compile quarterly country finance updates and budget forecasts to be submitted to Regional Finance Deputy Directorand UK Finance Controller
- Leads project finance activities and schedules to meet the internal financial reporting requirements and deadlines specified by HQ and RAI Unit
Grants and Contracts
- Active participation in the preparation and execution of Grant Opening Meetings, Grant Review Meetings and Grant Closure Meetings for each grant to ensure adequate management of project finances
- Review opportunities to highlight financial impacts, provide recommendations and advice
- Participate in Go-no go decisions as a trusted advisor
- Support on programme designs to ensure financial viability and that contract terms are met
- Support with contract/grant budgeting, template creations and required formatting
- Analyse reporting terms, provide advice and meet conditions throughout the grant/contract period
- Attend external collabroation meetings & lead of financial presentations
- Ensure the completeness of the grants financial documentation of the centralised grant filing system
Partnership management
- Provide partner capacity building when required
- Review partner pricing, design and support on required negotiations
- Tailor due diligences reviews to include specific requirements, provide recommendations and highlight any potential threats
- Provide guidance on any potential threats found in the due diligence, financial implications, Key Performance Indicator’s and payment terms to be included in partner/contract agreements
- Assess reporting requirements, carry out reviews and approvals
- Ensure appropriate payments are processed to partners, including reporting approvals, invoice creation, and processing payments requests to the Accounts Payables team
Accounting
- Maintain the integrity of IRC accounts, by carrying out timely reviews and processing correction and general journals, with the appropriate supporting documentation to ensure compliance with relevant donor guidelines and IRC polices are maintained eg. Indirect cost recovery
- Prepare salary allocations splits on a monthly basis, ensuring correspondence to timesheets and approved budgets
- Reviewing invoices, expenses, client reimbursements and credit cards prior to payment processing by the Accounts Payable team
- Preparation of invoices, posting into the accounting system and handling the aged debt
- Ensuresreconciliations (salaries, I&E, BS, Revenue) are completedon a timely basis
- Ensure all project expenditure adhere to IRC UK policies and processes and donor regulations
- Work closely with IRC UK finance teams to contribute to smooth monthly financial closings
Donor Support and Compliance
- Provide support for any donor audits that are undertaken
- Ensure all policies and procedures are in compliance with funding source policies; ensure all supporting documents are available and filed according to best practices (including but not limited to grant contracts and other documents, accounting books, reconciliations, invoices, transfers, contracts, time-sheets, procedures, accounting statements) including on internal grants management system and supervise that documents accurately support the data reported.
- Preparation and approval of all donor financial reports in respect to accounting, legal and contractual requirement
- Ensure donor reports agree with the underlying accounting records at all times.

The role

ISEAL´s Innovations Fund is a central component of our work to catalyse innovations that improve the effectiveness and deepen the impacts of market-based approaches to sustainability. First launched in 2016, the Fund supports innovative projects by ISEAL Community Members to help sustainability systems deliver more value to their stakeholders and effectively drive sustainability improvement on the ground, over time, and at scale. The Fund provides grants that enable recipients to develop and test new technologies and approaches, while drawing out cross-project learning to share with the wider sustainability community.
The Associate Manager will work closely with grantees to improve the ways learning is extracted from the projects. We will look to the position to take ownership of the engagement processes necessary to collate and share lessons learnt in a strongly collaborative setting with Community Member organisations or other stakeholders.
The key responsibilities we entrust you with
Implementation of Innovations Fund learning agenda
- Develop and maintain an overall learning agenda for the Fund, and support Fund and programme team on its delivery
- Organise and conduct stakeholder interviews and other forms of research to extract project learnings, alone and in collaboration with other project staff
- Facilitate peer to peer interactions between organisations participating in projects to share and discuss learning, including supporting the organisation and delivery of project workshops and ISEAL events such as Members Weeks
