ABOUT THE ROLE

The role of Volunteering Manager will work to review and expand Concordia’s Volunteering programmes to ensure a variety of attractive opportunities both in the UK and abroad. They will ensure effective management and administration of all opportunities, initiate new partnerships with UK charities and hosts, and represent Concordia at international events and network meetings.  

This role requires an individual with highly effective organisational and administrative skills, as well a strong aptitude to identify and act on new opportunities.

We are looking for a creative individual who possesses high standards, and a commitment to  quality volunteering placements. The right candidate will communicate with passion and enthusiasm and have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

ROLE OBJECTIVES

• To maintain, review and develop current Concordia volunteering programmes and partnerships
• To actively research & seek out new partnerships for hosting volunteers coming to the UK and UK volunteers travelling overseas
• To ensure the creative promotion of inclusive and appealing volunteering opportunities to a wide audience
• Responsible for the recruitment, training and management of voluntary coordinators for delivery at our UK and overseas volunteering projects.
• To establish effective and proportionate user-led processes to ensure the smooth administration and induction of new volunteers
• To ensure effective monitoring and evaluation systems are in place and to ensure regular summary reports of impact and statistics are produced.
• To provide clear information, support and advice for all volunteers travelling abroad/coming to the UK
• To develop and maintain excellent  working relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders, locally and internationally
• To coordinate delivery carefully and within budget
• To work with the senior team to ensure financial sustainability of programmes and responsiveness to new project and funding opportunities
• To deliver or commission volunteer training as required
• To input and manage personal and sensitive data, keeping all individual records up to date
• To work according to all Concordia’s policies, including data protection, health and safety, equity, diversity and inclusion and safeguarding
• To be available to work evenings, weekends and residentials where necessary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the CIC delivering the business support services which underpin the strategic growth of our organisation.

The Business Manager will be responsible for financial management, operational efficiency, HR, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

• Oversee daily operations, ensuring services are delivered efficiently and effectively

• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance service delivery and to comply with stakeholder contracts and agreements and  all relevant regulations and legal requirements.

• Oversee programme administration processes to ensure the efficient management of these areas

• Monitor and evaluate the performance of services and programmes with the Management Team. Coordinate the delivery of effective Management Information and analysis of Appeer operations for regular review by the CEO and Board

• Ensure all necessary IT software, hardware and resources across the organisation are implemented and managed well, securely and up-to-date.

Financial and Funding Management:

• Oversee financial reporting, including monthly management accounts, and ensure compliance with financial regulations with Financial Manager

• Support the Board of Directors and Finance Committee with financial reporting, analysis and financial and sustainability strategy development for the organisation with Financial Manager

• Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants, donations, and partnerships; manage funding relationships and grant monitoring and reporting with CEO and internal staff

• Manage external supplier contracts and relationships: ensuring contracts, insurances, subscriptions and rentals/hires are maintained to ensure continuity of cover/use and offer best value for the organisation

HR Management:

• Oversee the management of HR across the organisation, advising on the strategic recruitment, management and development of staff and volunteers

• Responsible for the coordination of recruitment, induction and training of new recruits

• Provide ‘business partner’ HR support to Line Managers

• Coordinate Appeer’s process of regular performance and reward reviews and coordinate a programme of ongoing training and development opportunities

• Ensure compliance with HR policies and employment legislation and that employment contracts and the Employee Handbook are kept under ongoing review

• Ensure best practice delivery of  employment practices in line with Appeer’s values

• Line manage the Admin Officer, Finance Manager and Designated Safeguarding Lead

Strategic Planning:

• Work with the CEO to develop and implement the Appeer CIC’s strategic plan

• As a member of the senior leadership team, support the CEO and board in organisational strategy development

• Identify opportunities for growth and development of services

• Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, funders, community partners

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure Appeer complies with all relevant regulations and legal requirements.  Manage risk, including health and safety, data protection, complaints and safeguarding. Communicate relevant policies and procedures to staff, families and service users (as appropriate)

• Work with the CEO/Engagement Manager to ensure that Appeer CIC fulfils its duties and responsibilities associated with internal and external contracts and agreements

• Act as Appeer’s Data Controller for GDPR purposes

• Maintain the organisation’s Risk Register and coordinate a formal quarterly review  and report to the CEO

• Maintain accurate records and ensure robust reporting mechanisms are in place

• Act as the channel of communication with Appeer’s insurers and, legal advisers when issues arise, keeping the CEO and Board informed as necessary

About APPEER

Appeer is a Community Interest Company (CIC) set up to deliver services that support autistic girls and women (and those assigned female at birth) to connect with peers, to develop their life/work skills and to support their wellbeing.   Over the past 5 years our founder and current CEO has taken the vision of creating a community where autistic girls and women can connect from a small, passionate team into a robust and impactful organisation.

We provide  In Person and Online Activity groups and programmes, Alternative Provision, events and resources for those in the community that we serve, their parents/carers and other professionals. We are not a therapeutic setting and as such do not offer clinical support or 1:1 supervision.

We were established in 2019 and have since grown rapidly from a small startup to a robust small-medium  enterprise with a turnover of £250k and serving over 400 beneficiaries a year.

CB Plus is seeking a talented and creative Fundraising Manager, who will be integral to supporting the financial sustainability of CB Plus. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet financial targets, ensuring a consistent and expanding revenue stream. This includes building a diversified income base for CB Plus, planning and coordinating fundraising events, and building and managing relationships with commissioners, funders, and donors.

The Fundraising Manager will identify new funding opportunities and secure potential donors, researching funding prospects and developing strategies for new support. They will prepare grant proposals, manage grant reporting requirements, and liaise with funding organisations to present CB Plus’s case for support. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, excellent communication and relationship-building skills and will be dedicated to our cause.

The postholder will be part of CB Plus’s newly formed Management Team. The Fundraising Manager will report to the Director of Operations and work closely with the CEO.

First launched in 2016, the Fund supports innovative projects by ISEAL Community Members to help sustainability systems deliver more value to their stakeholders and effectively drive sustainability improvement on the ground, over time, and at scale. The Fund provides grants that enable recipients to develop and test new technologies and approaches, while drawing out cross-project learning to share with the wider sustainability community.

The Associate Manager will work closely with grantees to improve the ways learning is extracted from the projects. We will look to the position to take ownership of the engagement processes necessary to collate and share lessons learnt in a strongly collaborative setting with Community Member organisations or other stakeholders.

The key responsibilities we entrust you with

Implementation of Innovations Fund learning agenda

• Develop and maintain an overall learning agenda for the Fund, and support Fund and programme team on its delivery  
• Organise and conduct stakeholder interviews and other forms of research to extract project learnings, alone and in collaboration with other project staff
• Facilitate peer to peer interactions between organisations participating in projects to share and discuss learning, including supporting the organisation and delivery of project workshops and ISEAL events such as Members Weeks
• Capture key learnings from grantees based on the learning agenda by leading the design of grantee knowledge sharing sessions (theme-focused learnings), as well as cross-thematic learning workshops
• Lead explorations on the need for external research and scoping activities to inform the focus of Fund’s thematic funding rounds.
• Project manage work with external consultants on research and scoping activities
• Propose and implement methodologies for capturing the learning and studies of fund effectiveness during and after project implementation

Communications

• Working with the rest of the Innovations Fund team, identify key spaces for increasing Fund’s visibility (e.g., key players or events in the innovations space) and map internal and external stakeholders for engagement and to widen the Fund´s impact
• Support implementation of the Fund’s communications strategy, identifying target audiences for Fund project outputs and the best approach and learning products for each
• Identify external events to which the Fund can actively contribute
• Produce briefing papers, blogs, case studies and slide decks, and manage content on ISEAL’s online platforms, to communicate project findings, outcomes, and achievements
• Produce impact case studies for use in multiple comms channels
• Working with thematic leads for various Innovations Fund grant rounds, extract and analyse data to identify key lessons as well as trends and produce reports to share practical lessons and insights
• Project manage work with external designers to produce fund related material

Process Improvements

• Review and input on call announcements, application and full proposal templates to ensure incorporation of the learning and/or communications components
• Recommend improvements to grantee narrative and learning report and other templates to ensure incorporation of learning and/or communications components

Other

• Support organisation in Monitoring & Evaluation tasks and contribute to donor reporting
• Help to ensure that the Innovations Fund and related activities deliver on annual workplans, meet commitments to donors
• Identify and develop new sources of data and information

Essential experience, knowledge and attributes

• Solid experience in a role related to project or programme learning activities, analysis of project data and reporting of lessons learnt
• General knowledge of international development and/or sustainability context where sustainability systems operate
• Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and topical areas
• Excellent project management skills, with ability to establish and manage priorities
• Excellent writing skills and ability to synthesise and distil technical information for a range of audiences

Communities and Delivery Lead

Established in 2013, the United Kingdom and Europe World Literacy Foundation have been dedicated to building strong communities through literacy and education. In 2018, UK Reads was introduced to provide literacy support through distributing books and resources nationwide while delivering author-led workshops to children to inspire the next generation of readers who lacked resources and opportunities to develop and excel. Project Manager 

“Building Better Futures for Older Veterans”

Salary: DP5(4) £27,555 FTE. £16,533 Actual

Hours: 21 hours per week post. A flexible working pattern will be agreed which responds to the needs of veterans.

Location: Hybrid working including working remotely from home, meeting with veterans in their own homes or other locations. Office/meeting facilities will also be available for booking in Age Cymru Dyfed’s offices in Aberystwyth, Llanelli, and Haverfordwest. Travel throughout Wales and the UK may be required on agreed occasions.

Contract: This is a post funded to 15/4/2027(with a possible extension by up to a further 3 months). Continuation of the post will be based upon success of future funding applications

We are looking to recruit a self-motivated, enthusiastic, hard-working Project Manager to lead, the Building Stronger Futures for Older Veterans project.

You will play the key role in leading, managing and overseeing the project, ensuring that it meets key targets and timescales and prepare progress reports as required by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust and by senior managers within Age Cymru Dyfed. The Project Manager will also play a key role in setting the terms of reference and informing the Project Advisory Group and Project Reference Groups. The former consists of key representation from the NHS LA’s and the Third Sector, and the latter of older veterans.

What is the role?

We are looking for a People Services Manager based in Winchester, at our Central Office. The role will develop and improve our People services and processes throughout every stage of a colleague's life. 

The role will enable our People team to be more efficient and effective. Including recruitment, onboarding, and maintaining colleague data, it will also involve investigating and addressing discipline and grievance issues. The role will cover tracking every detail about our colleagues while they are at Brendoncare, including processing colleagues' careers and pay changes.

To develop and provide excellent people-related reporting capabilities to meet both the needs of our business and in support of regulatory and legal compliance.

You will be the first point of contact inside and outside the organisation. You will handle all people-related systems. You will also work with second and third-tier support providers for Colleagues and Brendoncare as needed.

You will have experience in one or more HR functions. These include recruitment, ER, learning and development, and operations. Or, they can be operational Customer Services/experience roles. For example, in a call centre or payroll. You must also have managed a team. Ideally, in one or more of the above functions.

You need to be a competent and confident system user, ideally within HR. You also need a strong background in process design and flow improvement. This includes system integration and data management expertise.

You will be confident in making decisions and prioritising. You can influence and manage stakeholders. You will have strong delegation skills. You will be confident in your ability to empower others to reach their potential.

You must flex your style and approach based on the need and the person or team. You also need strong Office 365 skills, especially in Word and Excel.

It would be great if you are CIPD qualified or working towards a qualification, have experience working across multiple sites, and have experience in the Care Sector.

The pay and benefits

The role is full-time - 35 hours per work, salary of £35,000 per annum, and based in Winchester. The role is hybrid, with a mix of home and office working, and also working in our other locations across the south of England.

As the Corporate Partnerships Manager, you’ll play a vital role in securing funding from companies and businesses to help drive forward our work. As the Portfolio Manager for the International Science Partnership Fund (ISPF) you will lead our grant compliance and assurance efforts to ensure the effective delivery and continuous improvement of ISPF programmes in line with best practice and funder requirements. The Role:

Our Project Coordinator for In-Person activities in Oxford is a key leadership role at the heart of our sociable and fun team. You will coordinate all aspects of our inspiring and unique in-person session programme with six sessions a week spanning gardening to sports, recruit and support our exceptional volunteers, and be the primary contact for them and our community. 

Each day as the KEEN Coordinator is very different. In one day, you might be a guest speaker in a local school or business, then running a Zig-Zag dinosaur themed crafts session for our under 10’s, before training new volunteers in adaptations they could use in our young adult’s drama session. On another day you might be in meetings with the local authority about enhancing inclusivity, finalising a KEEN fundraising application and then attending a volunteer social in the evening.

Role Purpose

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated team of Regional Managers, where you will work in partnership with employers and schools to deliver our impactful programme.

The main purpose of this role is to grow, develop and deliver all aspects of the day-to-day relationship management of:

· Schools and colleges running the Career Ready programme

· Local employer supporters, corporate partners supporters, other key local stakeholders and networks

You will be responsible for a local patch of schools and colleges and a portfolio of employer partnerships. Regional Managers are also responsible for building and maintaining a local network of employer supporters and seeking opportunities for new employer support.

There will be opportunities to be creative, as well as being autonomous in how you run and develop the programme with the Career Ready schools and colleges in your area.
