The programme Manager (maternity cover) will play an important role in supporting the implementation of Good Neighbours UK (GNUK)’s strategy and ensuring that projects led by GNUK and implemented by field countries are managed effectively and efficiently. Project management

Growing Well is a farm-based mental health charity originating on Low Sizergh Farm near Kendal and recently expanding to a second site at Tebay Services (Northbound), and a third in Egremont, West Cumbria.
The horticultural context is key to our charity as it provides a safe, supportive working environment to nurture mental health recovery. Growing Well works with people on a weekly basis to help rebuild a sense of purpose, to engage in meaningful and fulfilling activity and to build hope for the future.
We are seeking to recruit an experienced Manager for Growing Well's site at Tebay Services (Northbound) in the Eden Valley, on a 12-month maternity cover contract.
The role of the Manager (Tebay) is to:
- Manage the day-to-day operations at Growing Well’s 1.5-acre Tebay site and ensure that at all times our site is safe, productive, excellently maintained and efficiently run. This includes:
- Safe and efficient service delivery
- Effective delivery of annual crop plan and supply chain management
- Financial management of the Tebay enterprise
- Legal and Health and Safety management of the site
- Manage the delivery of therapeutic activity, skills development and support for up to 100 Volunteers (beneficiaries) per week.
- Line manage Tebay staff team (5 direct reports).
- Manage local fundraising and marketing initiatives with support from Growing Well Development Team colleagues.

About the Administrator
At the National Garden Scheme a small central office with a team of 13 is the hub for a wide range of activity involving hundreds of volunteers, thousands of garden owners and a large audience of beneficiary charities, suppliers, supporters and partners, and members of the public who want to visit gardens and engage with the charity.
The administrator is the first point of contact for many of these, being responsible for answering the main telephone line and managing the general email inbox. They are also responsible for managing the office environment on behalf of their colleagues.
In normal years, they also carry out the administration of certain annual events and projects including our annual lecture and presence at the Chelsea Flower Show.
The right candidate ideally will have some experience as an administrator or receptionist and will be comfortable in a busy, hands-on and varied role. Key responsibilities
Receptionist and office administrator
- Manage the main telephone line, ensuring a polite and efficient first point of contact.
- Manage the central email account, responding directly or passing requests to colleagues.
- Manage and procure office supplies such as stationery.
- Manage incoming/outgoing mail, courier collections/deliveries and costs.
Administration of shows and other annual events
- Managing the booking of venues and ensuring that staff and volunteers are briefed on their role at the show/event.
Administer National Garden Scheme merchandise
- The National Garden Scheme has a small range of branded merchandise such as aprons and tea towels whose primary purpose is promotion. Merchandise is managed by the Head of Marketing.
- The administrator is responsible for monitoring stock levels and placing orders when appropriate.
- They are also responsible for liaising with the fulfilment house over any queries to do with orders and dispatch.
Other duties include:
- Work flexibly as part of a small office team, providing appropriate support for different colleagues and undertaking tasks as necessary.
- Manage the Chief Executive’s telephone line when he is out of the office.
- Prepare with the Chief Executive the agenda for monthly team meetings and record the minutes.
- Attend national garden shows (e.g. Chelsea) and other events as required.
- Protect and enhance the organisation’s public reputation when speaking on its behalf.

We are seeking a highly organised and methodical individual to provide administrative support to the CEO Department. Key responsibilities include:
· providing financial administrative support (including processing expense claims, raising purchase orders, processing invoices)
· facilitating the day to day running of the CEO office, including acting as the first point of contact for visitors to the CEO including VIPs
· providing logistical support to key governance meetings and events
· providing general administrative support within the CEO office and to the wider Senior Leadership Team (SLT) as required
· maintaining electronic correspondence files
· drafting meeting briefings for the CEO and other senior staff
You will have broad administrative experience, with strong numeracy skills, excellent organisational and prioritisation skills and a methodical, rigorous approach to work. A meticulous attention to detail is essential.
You will represent Fauna & Flora professionally at all times and have a proactive and positive approach to work. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to develop positive, productive working relationships. The ability to apply sound judgement and discretion in all areas of work, maintaining utmost confidentiality is essential.

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team to provide administrative and event delivery support across all event and fundraising activities. This will include a wide range of support tasks pre-event, onsite and post-event for the BOA’s flagship event, BOA Annual Congress, and other educational, social and fundraising events, both face to face and virtual, delivered by the team. In addition, the postholder will be responsible for maintaining comprehensive administration systems across the events and fundraising team, corresponding with members, Stakeholders, delegates, fundraisers etc, using the CRM database, updating event and fundraising content on the BOA website, and supporting content creation for social media.

The Events Assistant[CF1] is a crucial role at the College as you will help and support colleagues in the delivery of events, from administrative assistance in planning the events, to the production of event documentation, branding or collateral, in addition to liaising with events stakeholders, including speakers, programme leads and delegates.
As Events Assistant, you will provide comprehensive administrative support for online event registration, delegate bookings, delegate communications and associated queries. You will be the first point of contact for event queries, so maintaining a good knowledge of College events and other relevant activities is essential.
Assisting in the research and promotion of opportunities for sponsorship for all events, you will distribute sponsorship packages, confirm sponsorship acquisitions and ensure requirements are fulfilled onsite. You will also produce proposals for assigned events, including timelines, venues, suppliers, draft budgets and staffing requirements.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Events, you will help with the delivery of College conferences and study days by providing administrative support for the development of programmes and course materials, whilst also collating and reporting on key event statistics to support the evaluation of the events programme.
With a good level of education,[CF2] you should have a background in customer-facing roles, be an excellent verbal and written communicator and have experience of interacting via email, telephone and in-person.
With an understanding of GDPR and an excellent level of computer knowledge, keyboard skills and software, you should be able to use and format documents on the Microsoft platform and have the ability to learn new software packages.
Knowledge of events and conferencing, including the processes surrounding the delivery of events, as well as experience of event administration would be desirable. Research and data analysis skills along with the ability to use social media to promote activity would also be advantageous. Travel across the UK and occasional overnight stays are part of this role.
