Main duties/responsibilities:

Develop new income generation streams from partner relationships including corporates, community groups, individual giving, and legacies, meeting or exceeding income targets.

Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to design and deliver compelling premium supporter engagement journeys and exceptional donor stewardship to maximise income and ongoing engagement with the charity.

Person Specification:
The successful candidate will be a highly engaging and self-motivated individual who is able to clearly demonstrate the following experience and attributes:

Significant experience (minimum 8-10 years) of growing new business income from corporate, community, event and individual income streams, with a proven history of achieving financial targets.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
Equipping and Supporting Spear Centres
- Spend time in Spear Centres to build a presence and trust with the Spear coaches, in order to provide better employment support for trainees.
- Provide additional support to Spear Centres outside of London as they develop their own employer network and local employment events.
- Serving as a liaison between Resurgo, the employer and Spear Centres in collecting and sharing job descriptions, trainee CVs, interview feedback and handover documents for successful hires.
Account Management and Administration
- Conduct due diligence checks on potential employers.
- Sustain links with corporates, employers and charities in order to generate employment opportunities for young people.
- Research and compile the weekly employment email with current vacancies and opportunities (which includes all new Spear Streamlined Centres) and contribute ‘Job of the Week’ to the weekly Spear Bulletin.
- Manage bespoke recruitment processes and logistics.
- Monthly reporting for national employer partners.
- Attend select online and in-person youth employment events on behalf of Resurgo and the Spear Programme.
- Support the wider Corporate and Employer Partnerships team in administrative tasks.
Support the Coordination of Employer Events
- Help to deliver central (London-based) Hire Me events with mass employment opportunities.
- Equip Spear Centres to run their own local employment activities/events, including effective review processes after the events.
- Track success of central and local events and the impact on education, employment and training (EET) statistics.
- Work with the Employer Partnerships Manager to develop and coordinate employer-related events, such as Coffee and Connect, or organise site visits for employers to a Spear training room or an insight session with a Spear coach.
Spear Alumni Network Coordinator
- Develop and run an alumni network/platform for Spear completers, keeping them updated with further job opportunities and creating a continued sense of community.
- Work with the Resurgo Church Partnerships team to build a pipeline into the Spear Ambassadors group, giving Spear completers a voice in the continuous development of the Spear Programme and encouraging Spear completers to invite those they know to join Spear.
- With the Comms team, identify opportunities for Spear completers to become Brand Ambassadors who promote our work, ensuring success stories are celebrated and feeding into funding applications and reports.
Active participation in and support for Resurgo’s team and mission
- Help build and develop Resurgo’s ethos and Christian life as a team member including leading and contributing to daily team prayer meetings as an integral part of Resurgo’s operation and for the success of its mission.
This role will suit you if you are:

The Destitution Project (DP) is a dynamic and well-respected charity at the forefront of refugee and asylum seeker support in Bolton, Greater Manchester. As DP’s Operations and Development Manager, you will provide overall leadership and management for the drop in and casework operations, staff and volunteers. This will include attending and being responsible for oversight at the Wednesday Drop-in and liaising with service providers and partner organisations.
Our Wednesday Drop-in offers a safe, welcoming space for people to meet and mix. We provide a hot meal; food parcels for asylum seekers; clothing and household goods and much more. Our Casework Service provides information and support face to face at the Drop-in and remotely through the week to first time applicants; refugees newly granted Leave to Remain and refused asylum seekers.
Our service is delivered by a passionately committed team of three staff members (part-time) and a volunteer core of thirty including 6 trustees. A few of the Team have been with the Project since its foundation as an independent charity in 2015; others have joined along the way, some having initially come to DP as service users themselves. People with lived experience are central to everything we do, not just as service users, but as staff, volunteers and trustees.
You will work closely with DP’s Trustees and the DP Coordinating Committee to ensure smooth service delivery; develop and implement DP’s long-term strategic plans and, via consultation and feedback, build resilient services and activities that meet service users’ needs and help enhance the local community. This will include building relationships in the community and representing DP at events and via external networks.

About the role
As Mid-Value Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing our mid-value programme, delivering effective marketing campaigns to build deep connections with supporters and drive income. You will collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to ensure a cohesive mid-value supporter experience that aligns with all touchpoints.
Working within a dynamic, fast-paced team, you will use your audience-first approach, data analysis, and strategic thinking to inspire engagement and action.
In this role, you will:
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to attract, retain, and engage mid-value supporters, using insight and data to understand audience needs and motivations.
- Plan and execute marketing activities to meet ambitious mid-value action, income, and loyalty targets.
- Collaborate with Loyalty and Philanthropy teams to develop mid-value supporter journeys, moving supporters between tiers based on overall opportunity.
- Analyse marketing effectiveness and drive a test-and-learn approach to optimise mid-value output.
- Develop and deliver engaging, audience-focused creative and content plans that inspire action.
- Manage mid-value income and expenditure budgets, including planning, reporting, and reforecasting.
- Ensure mid-value communications comply with legislation, safeguarding standards, and best practices.
- Promote and embed safeguarding policies and procedures to protect children, community members, and staff.
About you
To be successful, it is important that you have:
- Proven experience in attracting, retaining, and engaging mid-value supporters, including developing marketing campaigns and audience-led strategies.
- Significant experience in delivering marketing across mail, email, telemarketing, and events.
- Strong skills in using audience insights and data to optimise supporter journeys and deliver KPIs.
- Experience of managing creative development and production across a wide range of channels and materials, working in collaboration with creative agencies and in-house designers.
- Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Ability to manage income and expenditure budgets effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to inspire commitment, build networks, and work collaboratively.

Job summary
The Trust, Statutory and Lottery Fundraising Team is part of the Fundraising, Marketing and Communications Department and is central to Whizz Kidz contributing to its ambitious goal of ensuring that every young wheelchair user in the UK is mobile, enabled and included. The five-strong team is responsible for delivering over £3m a year for the organisation’s services.
As Trust Fundraising Officer you will be growing income through managing smaller funders and building close relationships with them, issuing small Trust mailings, researching new funding opportunities and developing case for support liaising with colleagues in service teams.
You will also ensure that donor records are maintained accurately on the fundraising CRM, process bank and cash donations and thank donors promptly and appropriately. The role will involve supporting the maintenance of the team’s administrative systems and the team’s move to a new CRM – Microsoft Dynamics.
The small Trust donor pool is a well-established income stream for Whizz Kidz with content for proposals readily available and warm funders interested in supporting our work. The role receives advice and guidance from the Trust Fundraising Manager on the day- to- day work and the opportunity to develop experience with a range of funders. You will use your skills of relationship management to make a real difference to the lives of young wheelchair users. Finally, you will join an ambitious, young-person focused and collaborative fundraising team, keen to share success and support one another.
The person
The ideal candidate will have experience and understanding of Trust fundraising including preparing successful fundraising proposals and reports, effectively managing funder relationships and strong funding research skills. They will also have experience of managing fundraising administration, income processing and data management with skills using a fundraising CRM. They will have excellent writing skills in relation to proposal and report writing, be a confident communicator with an ability to engage funders with the work of Whizz Kidz, manage their time effectively and prioritise their own workload.
