We are seeking a highly skilled Head of Brand & Communications to join our team at Tapping House in King’s Lynn Norfolk. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our team to develop, build and execute our brand voice and a comprehensive communications strategy.
Tapping House is a leading end-of-life charity. We believe in living life to the end and bringing joy to patient’s lives, so we work with everyone as an individual, supporting them on each step of their journey. This year the Hospice will support 1,500 patients not all of them at the very end of life, some referred at the beginning of their journey, but hundreds of people will be supported to live a good life and achieve a good death, in the place of their choice – at home or Hospice. And for every one of them, there is likely to be a spouse, a sibling and probably some children and even grandchildren. This year we will support close to 4,500 patients and family members.
Tapping House is the only independent hospice covering Norfolk and North Cambridgeshire and one of the few nurse led Inpatient Units in the country. We are a centre of clinical excellence educating staff to remain at the forefront of care. The Hospice serves as an education centre for palliative care for Addenbrookes University Hospital, the Norfolk and Norwich and Queen Elizabeth Hospitals, GPs, community teams and care homes
Following a thorough review of our current marketing and fundraising practice, the Hospice is looking for an innovative and forward thinking Head of Brand and Communications to lead our Marketing & Communications Team. The post holder will be joining the charity at an exciting time of brand repositioning. About You:
To be successful as the Young Persons Advocate you will need the below experience and skills:
The post holder will have proven experience of working with children and young people and may have a background in youth work. They will have an excellent understanding of violence against women and girls, risk management and of best practice within the young people’s sector. As an experienced youth worker who has worked with young women and girls with complex and multiple needs, the post holder will be skilled in risk management and safety and support planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis.
Experience of direct work with young women and girls who have experienced abuse, and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.

This exciting new role will be instrumental in supporting the provision and development of effective, efficient and optimized utilisation of data across the organisation, primarily using PowerBI.Working closely with the fundraising teams you will ensure they are receiving the correct insight to drive income and supporter growth. Alongside the Insight Manager you will initially assist in moving MAF UK’s data model and reports to a Fabric data warehouse. The data warehouse will become the single source of truth and the basis for all of MAF UK’s reporting needs.
In addition you will also have the opportunity to work on integration projects as MAF looks to bring data together in a unified way.
On the job training will be provided and there is potential for the job holder to undertake a data apprenticeship using the government funding scheme.
As the Data Analyst you will be responsible for
Enhancing PowerBI Reporting by:
- Maintaining the suite of self-service KPI reports for MAF UK via PowerBI and improve on this as required
- Owning the Quarterly Dashboard and ensure linked reports are fit for purpose
- Being proactive in delivering hands-on support to the Fundraising teams to help user adoption and understanding
- Gaining contextual knowledge of the Fundraising teams to be able to propose new reporting solutions to help campaign monitoring and drive increased income
- Ensuring the Fundraising teams are empowered to make strategic data-driven decisions and be prepared to respond to queries in a timely manner. This will include the use of third party data enrichment tools
- Building strong interpersonal relationships throughout the organisation to promote the confidence of the data team’s output

Additional Tasks include:

VICTA is looking to recruit a proactive and enthusiastic Activities & Volunteers Co-ordinator to help deliver our charity’s mission: to empower children and young adults that are blind and partially sighted.
We seek someone who is passionate about supporting others to live life to the full. As the Activities and Volunteers Co-ordinator, you will support the delivery of our activities calendar built around sport, outdoor expeditions, environmental conservation and creative endeavour. As such, you will need to be just as comfortable leading young people through the physical challenges of white water rafting, completing their DofE expedition, or reaching the top of a climbing wall; to exploring their creativity at the hands of a potter’s wheel or a theatrical touch tour.
It is all about helping children and young adults with vision impairments challenge perceptions they have about their own abilities, all the while building friendships and skills that will carry them into a happy and fulfilling future. As someone who finds it easy to build relationships with others and is calm in a crisis, you will have a passion for making a difference and be happy to get stuck in.
The activities you will help to plan and deliver are made possible through our expanding team of dedicated volunteers; and you’ll be key in growing, coordinating and celebrating our volunteer group who are so key to our organisation.

The ideal candidate will be patient, flexible, have a good sense of humour and happy to lead from the front. The Role
Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager (Donations), our Donations Sorting Assistant will be responsible for quickly, efficiently and accurately sorting donations of clothing, bric-a-brac, electrical and all other donated items, for re-sale in our network of charity shops and via our eCommerce outlets. This role will operate in accordance with all health and safety regulations.
You will be expected to receive stock donations from our donors in a friendly, positive and welcoming way. We do not turn donations away as we have a significant growth plan for our retail network, so it is essential that the Donations Sorting Assistant is able to remain positive and welcoming to all supporters and demonstrate our gratitude for receiving donations. Great customer service is also essential to maximise income through Gift Aid sign-ups and every donor should be encouraged to sign up to Gift Aid, if it is applicable for them.
Specifically, you will:
- Quickly and efficiently sort a wide variety of donated stock.
- Ensure that donated stock is stored appropriately and safely, in accordance with all health and safety regulations and charity policies
- Identify if any specific donated stock suits the profile/demographics of specific shops in the retail network and ensure that those items are ringfenced and delivered in a timely manner to maximise income for the charity.
- Communicate with Retail teams regarding stock offers and ensure that any requests for specific items are actioned in a timely manner.
- Create an engaging and supportive environment for our volunteers and ensure that the Donation Centre and warehouse are both great places to work.
- Help create a welcoming professional atmosphere and deliver high standards of customer service for all donors, customers and supporters.
- Coach any corporate volunteers in the standards that we expect in sorting and represent the charity positively.
- Contribute to the motivation of the Donation Centre and warehouse team by being a team player and supporting your peers with any problem solving.
- Ensure that the donated goods are processed in a timely manner to maximise income for the charity.
- Work in a way that minimises the risk of damage and stock loss.
- Contribute to a culture where income generation is a passion for the team, ensuring that every donor is asked to add Gift Aid and that you are clear on the benefits of this.
- Be trained as a First Aider and Fire Marshal.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- To ideally be educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
- To have experience of working in a charity retailer or sorting high volume donated stock would be an advantage.
- To have basic understanding of Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- To be highly organised with good time management skills.
- To be resilient and able to react to quickly changing dynamics and flexibility.
- To have the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- To be able to use own initiative and work with little direction, as management will not always be at the same site.
- To be able to travel independently across dual site.
- A willingness to complete our pre-employment checks (to be undertaken once the role is offered and accepted) which include:
- A check on your employment history by seeking two references

Strength & Stem is a charity and social enterprise that uses floristry to empower female modern slavery survivors. We want to see female survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking restored from their trauma, empowered for the future, and able to sustain a good quality of life. We achieve our vision by offering an evidence-based, holistic programme. It incorporates tailored skills training (including vocational floristry, prevocational and wellbeing skills training), work experience, mentorship, and a supportive community. Role Summary
The Progress Facilitator will provide specialist support to participants throughout all aspects of the core Strength & Stem programme. Under the supervision of the Programme Director, the Progress Facilitator will have responsibility for the progression, support, and safeguarding of our programme participants. Alongside the programme delivery team, you will ensure every participant has a safe and positive overall programme experience. This role will involve working directly with survivors, as well as a wide range of stakeholders from supporting organisations to florists, volunteers, and the programme delivery team.

Key Responsibilities
Spear Programme
- Lead group sessions of up to 10 young people, using coaching skills to transform their mindsets, and to maximise their potential in stepping into the world of work.
- Prepare and deliver coaching sessions on a weekly basis and find creative ways of developing ongoing relationships with Spear trainees. This includes running application workshops with past trainees as well as maintaining records and reporting on statistics.
Relationship Management
- Build and manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, and other organisations.
- You will support with job fairs, mock interview days and welcoming external visitors to the centre.
Church Community
- The Assistant Coach is directly employed by River Church, meaning you are part of a vibrant church staff team and submerged in an exciting faith community.
- Help to raise the profile of the Spear programme within River Church and build a network of supporters and volunteers from the congregation.
This role will suit you if you are:
- An active Christian, able to personally represent the values and beliefs of Resurgo and River Church, Ipswich.
- Passion for social justice and for working as part of the church to transform communities, especially supporting young people in employment or education.
- Confident communication and interpersonal skills, both over telephone and face to face; particularly a confidence in group facilitation.
