Purpose of the Job
Hammersmith and Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow Mind deliver services in West London College through our Wellbeing Team. Working with all ages attending college in either Hammersmith and Fulham or Ealing, the wellbeing advisor will be an integral part of the Children and Young People’s Service within a key Mental Health Charity working in 3 boroughs in West London.
This role would suit an experienced Mental Health Youth Worker, CAMHS support worker, Youth Counsellor, Child Wellbeing Practitioner, Learning Mentor, Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner, an Assistant Psychologist with some training in MH interventions like CBT, or other roles that have given you experience and skills in working with children and young people presenting with difficulties related to their mental health.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide practical mental health focused short-term case work to young people, through 1:1 face to face appointments
- To signpost students for further support as and when necessary
- To manage a busy case load
- To raise safeguarding alerts and work with partners to ensure that young people are effectively safeguarded
- To develop and deliver workshops, campaigns and training for young people, educational staff and youth workers about mental health (on occasion)
- To support other Youth Services service delivery, when required
- To support the development of new tools, materials and services
- To maintain and nurture a positive working relationship with partners
- To ensure service delivery targets are on track
- To monitor the wellbeing of young people and evaluate the effectiveness of the service
- To provide information for quarterly monitoring reports to funders
- To keep administrative processes, client databases and client records up to date
You will have:
- Minimum two years’ experience of working with people with mental health issues
- Experience in delivering 1:1 practical support sessions and managing a complex case load
- Working knowledge of child and adult safeguarding
- Experience of working with young people
- Ability to write high-quality reports and case-notes and develop clear resources for a wide range of audiences

The Important Bits

Open Age is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Development Worker to help expand and enhance our successful Men's Programme, the Men’s Space. Managed by the Men’s Space Programme Coordinator, this important role at Open Age will help older men improve their health & wellbeing with a dedicated group activity programme.
About Open Age
Open Age is a charity committed to improving the lives of people aged 50+ by supporting them to stay physically, mentally, and socially active. We do this through the provision of a unique programme of 250+ group activities, trips and events running every week – including physical activities & sports, social groups, arts & culture sessions, learning & skills courses, and more!
In addition to our fun and impactful group activities, Open Age also has a dedicated Outreach & Support Team who work to connect local older people with the charity and wider community. This Team offers a range of short-term 1-2-1 support for over 50s who experience barriers to connecting, such as becoming an unpaid carer or living with reduced mobility.
About the Project & the Role
We work with over 4000 older beneficiaries here at Open Age and just 19% are men. Our Men's Programme seeks to encourage more older men to connect with Open Age and their wider communities by offering dedicated activities, opportunities and support for local men age 50+. Every session is designed to help foster a sense of community and improve mental health & wellbeing.
The Men’s Space at Open Age currently offers weekly sessions including physical activities, social events, and cooking sessions, as well as a range of monthly health & wellbeing workshops and fun trips.

Coin Street has an opportunity for a Creative Spaces Coordinator to join our Commercial team. In this role, you will help generate income by increasing occupancy of our gallery and events venues and through an engaging programme of events and exhibitions at Oxo Tower Wharf, a landmark destination on London’s South Bank.
In this role you will liaise with clients, coordinate bookings, manage logistics, and ensure that all exhibitions and events run smoothly and successfully. You will also be promoting our venues to new and existing clients and support the marketing of creative programmes and activities.
The role will suit an outgoing creative individual, with a background in arts/design, who can relate to our core values and vision to promote design and creative enterprise. Ideally applicants will have previous experience in sales and with venue hire for events or exhibition spaces and you should be able to balance strong commercial performance with the delivery of high-quality events and exhibitions.

About the role
We’re seeking a well-organised coordinator to join our growing support services team and help us reach more people living with secondary (metastatic) breast cancer. You will coordinate the successful delivery of face to face and online services providing information and emotional support in the UK.
You’ll work as part of a team based across the UK and arrange delivery of services in the East of England, playing a key role in increasing our reach and uptake.
You’ll liaise with venues, expert speakers and support our team of dedicated qualified sessional therapists, as well as providing technical support for the running of monthly online services. And you’ll build productive relationships with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to promote our services and increase their reach and uptake.
About you
We’re looking for someone with experience of developing and delivering information and support services, preferably in a health or charity environment. You’ll understand the challenges for people living with illness or complex health or social needs and be keen to use your excellent organisation and time management skills to juggle a busy workload.
You’ll enjoy working collaboratively and managing relationships with a range of stakeholders. A great team player, you’ll be flexible and able to travel and work outside normal office hours, including regular overnight stays. Above all, you’ll relish the opportunity to deliver our ambition to provide support for anyone living with secondary breast cancer who needs us, by making our services more widely available and accessible.
