GiveOut is an award-winning international community foundation, with the mission to grow giving to support the global struggle for LGBTQI human rights. We advocate for more funding to benefit LGBTQI causes globally, fundraise to foster more giving by the LGBTQI community and our allies, and pool donations to provide grants and other support to LGBTQI organisations worldwide, to build a world where LGBTQI people everywhere can live their lives freely and fully.

Across the world, courageous activists are doing vital work to protect and improve the lives of LGBTQI people. But they lack resources and funding is fragile, especially in the Global South and East. Our global community and allies want to provide support, but it is not always easy to do so. GiveOut’s purpose is to help address this urgent need by providing a platform for our supporters to give in one place to fund LGBTQI rights activism worldwide. We pool the donations we receive to provide flexible grants to LGBTQI organisations around the world, ensuring they have more of the resources they need to defend our communities, tackle inequality and campaign for lasting change.

An entry-level role, the Philanthropy Coordinator will be a key member of GiveOut's small team, with responsibilities in three main areas: helping with internal programme coordination, supporting colleagues on key donor relationships and fundraising, and taking the lead on community fundraising. They will be highly organised with a strong work ethic, enjoy organising events, and up for the challenge of raising lower level gifts from our community and allies. They will have the opportunity to develop organisational, project management and fundraising skills, learn about LGBTQI rights activism around the world, and see the impact of their work through the incredible LGBTQI organisations supported through GiveOut. 

Main responsibilities:

Internal programme coordination

• Manage calendars, schedule internal meetings, help bring together agendas, book meeting rooms, and take minutes where required

• Help maintain internal documents using Google Workspace 

• Work with colleagues on shared processes, including finance and reporting

• Contribute to a dynamic, fun and effective organisation

Supporting donor relationships

• Triage donor requests, responding where appropriate 

• Schedule external meetings and calls

• Create and send invoices 

• Ensure we have necessary information to claim Gift Aid on eligible donations

• Maintain database to ensure accurate donor information in GiveOut’s CRM (Donorfy)

• Support on fundraising events and briefings, creating event plans, and managing invitation process 

• Support travel, logistics and manage itineraries for international guests 

• Support on reporting to donors on the impact of their giving, building donation reports from database, liaising with internal teams, and using templates to build reports

• Assist in donor research and prospecting

Community fundraising 

• Lead on engaging lower value individual donors 

• Organise fundraising challenges 

• Offer guidance, materials, and support to individuals and groups organising their own fundraising activities

• Track regular monthly giving and contact donors to discuss any missed payments and re-establish regular giving 

• Support the Donor Journey (automated stewardship journey for new individual donors, providing regular donor emails) 

• Ensure accurate tracking and processing of community donations, including managing online fundraising platforms

• A well run philanthropy programme, with the systems and processes in place to support effective fundraising

• Strong donor relationships, with colleagues supported effectively to maintain and strengthen relationships with key and high-value donors

• Accurate and up-to-date donor database, with all donor information and donations accurately tracked and acknowledged

• A growing community of grassroots supporters and lower-value individual donors, through community fundraising initiatives

Required attributes, skills and experience:

About the Role: We are seeking a Women's Project Coordinator to lead and develop our women’s project. This role requires a sensitive and proactive individual who can create a supportive and engaging learning environment. You will tailor course material and classes to meet the everyday language needs of our participants, fostering solidarity and empowerment within the group. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Manage and Develop the Women’s Project: Take charge of the project’s growth and success, ensuring it meets the needs of refugee and migrant women. 

• Collaborate with our Partners & Participants: Design and deliver English classes, workshops, and other activities tailored to the participants' specific needs. 

• Support a Women’s Board: Help organise events, excursions, and campaigns that enrich the lives of participating women. 

• Identify Learning Opportunities: Work closely with Salusbury World staff to find additional learning opportunities and activities. 

• Network and Build Relationships: Actively connect with organisations in the statutory, non-statutory, voluntary, and community sectors to enhance the project. 

• Fundraising Contribution: Assist in fundraising activities and bid proposals as needed. 

• Monitor and Report: Measure and report all project outputs and outcomes, promoting achievements both internally and externally. 

What We’re Looking For: 

• An experienced ESOL teacher, ideally to people with limited or no literacy and with little or no formal education 

• Proven experience in running women’s projects and outreach initiatives. 

• Competence in partnership working and collaboration with various stakeholders. 

• Experience addressing complex issues affecting refugee and migrant women. 

• Ability to assess participants' needs and develop tailored projects accordingly. 

• Strong initiative, independence, and sensitivity in working with vulnerable groups.

An opportunity has arisen to provide support in our weekly groups for young people aged 13-19 who are experiencing emotional or mental health difficulties. The groups are an informal, fun, confidential space where young people can meet and chat with other young people, take part in feel-good activities and receive helpful information and tools. There are two groups a week, one on Thursdays in Tunbridge Wells between 4.30pm-6pm and another in a venue in Tunbridge Wells or Tonbridge, details to be confirmed.  

We are looking for a Sessional Support Worker to assist with the delivery of the groups. The postholder will work closely with the Reachout Youth Coordinator to help plan and deliver the groups and provide support to group members. You will have experience of working with young people and an understanding of mental health conditions. You will have excellent communication and listening skills, be positive, warm and welcoming and able to deal confidently with challenging situations.

The role is for 5 hours per week. Most of your time will be spent at the groups in their 2 different locations, with some time being spent helping to plan activities, attend monthly supervision, and/or other relevant meetings outside of the groups.

FTWW: Fair Treatment for the Women of Wales is the only patient-led charity and disabled people’s organisation in Wales dedicated to achieving health equality for women, girls, and people registered female at birth.

The role of Charity Coordinator is a new one for FTWW. Our successful candidate will be happy to join a small, dedicated team, supporting existing staff, volunteers, and trustees in the administration of the charity. Together We Learn is a small international development charity with a vision to break the cycle of poverty in Ethiopia by enabling disadvantaged children to access quality education.

We have been working closely with our Ethiopian partner organisation for over 25 years to achieve this. Our UK team is a small, close- knit team that supports the fundraising, international communications, and project delivery of the Ethiopian team.

Our approach is to work alongside state education infrastructure, addressing a range of needs related to access to and quality of education, as well as children’s wellbeing.

Our work with schools includes school infrastructure projects - providing safe, local schools - and supporting teachers with training and resources to inspire children to flourish in the classroom. We also work closely with the children, their families and communities to understand and address the issues they face at home and how these impact their ability to attend and concentrate in school.

We are at the start of a new strategic phase with a focus on building the capacity of our Ethiopian partner organisation to shift the power and be more locally-led in our work.

Sponsorship Coordinator

The Role: The Sponsorship Coordinator works closely with the Ethiopian team to facilitate sponsor communications and support the smooth delivery of our student sponsorship programme. They are responsible for reviewing and sending student updates collected by the team in Ethiopia to our international sponsor community; liaising with the Ethiopian team to deliver key sponsorship activities; and engaging new and existing sponsors in the sponsorship programme.

Reports to: Chief Executive
Hours: 15 hours per week (part-time role 40%)
Salary: £8,620 per annum (21,548 pro rata)
Location: London office, preference for hybrid working, remote applications considered, employee must be living in the UK.

Responsibilities

Ethiopia team liaison and sponsor communication (70%)

• Work closely with the Sponsorship Manager and Coordinators in Ethiopia to ensure the timely and effective delivery of sponsorship activities and reporting.
• Maintain good relationships with sponsors by responding to sponsor enquiries in a prompt and friendly manner and encourage continued support for the sponsorship programme through the provision of engaging, informative and culturally aware/sensitive student updates and newsletters.
• Manage a small pool of student volunteers to produce quality reports for sponsors.
• Facilitate additional monetary gifts from sponsors to their sponsored student including individual gifts, private school support and home improvement.
• Monitor sponsorship finances, including use of Salesforce, checking sponsorship payments are received and seeking to resolve any finance problems.
• Safeguard the data relating to sponsors and beneficiaries in line with the organisation’s policies.
• Assist in the promotion of the programme to recruit new sponsors and promote the sponsorship programme on occasion, through online initiatives or attending events.

Monitoring and evaluation (20%)

• Support monitoring and evaluation of the programme by ensuring the timely collection of data by the team in Ethiopia, collating, analysing and formatting data for review, leading discussions on impact review and supporting discussions for continuous programme development. Including managing office volunteers to support our work in these areas.
• Support the Ethiopian team to track and understand markers of good quality, sustainable programming and to continuously improve upon these.

Other (10%)

• Support with building the capacity of the Ethiopian team through working practices and training in relevant areas.
• Support the Ethiopia sponsorship team to develop, include and adhere to programme policies and procedures, with special attention to safeguarding.
• Communicate about our work with stakeholders via writing blogs, newsletter and Annual Report chapters.

BEfriend is seeking a Befriending Coordinator to join our Befriending Project aimed at combatting isolation across the London Borough of Ealing. 

We have been operating in Ealing since 1994, and are proud to celebrate our 30th anniversary this year!  Our Befriending Project supports people who are isolated and experiencing chronic loneliness. It provides a lifeline to people living alone who might go for days at a time not seeing a single person. 

Key Tasks:

• Client Assessments: You will support a caseload of clients from their initial referral through to the end of their time with us. This will involve processing referrals, conducting assessments, matching with volunteers and conducting ongoing six-monthly reviews. You will provide regular telephone contact whilst they are on our waiting list and signpost to appropriate services as required.
• Matching and Coordination: You will interview potential volunteer befrienders and work with the Lead Coordinator to successfully link them with individuals in Ealing who are experiencing isolation. You will monitor the matches through monthly reports from the volunteers and six-monthly client reviews. 
• Support and Supervision: You will provide support to the volunteers when required, particularly during the first month of their match. After that you will conduct six-monthly reviews and ad hoc support.

Project Coordinator

The Role: The Project Coordinator supports our Ethiopian Projects team deliver, monitor, evaluate and report on our various project activities. The role involves regular communication with both our regional project teams and management, supporting the team to meet project deadlines, driving continual programme improvement through monitoring, evaluation and learning, and supporting the UK Chief Executive with project reporting and funding proposals.

Responsibilities

Fundraising (20%)

• Reporting to donors and funders on project delivery, ensuring deadlines for reporting are met, collating data and Ethiopian team feedback, and writing up funder reports in a timely manner.

We are excited to be recruiting for a new Communications Coordinator at Volunteer Centre Hackney who will play a key role in helping increase volunteering and grow strong thriving communities across Hackney. Using wide-ranging communications, you will be vital to reaching diverse people across the borough and building key partnerships to help people enjoy the benefits of our services - all of which hugely improve people's lives and bring people and communities together.

The Communications Co-ordinator will play a key role in helping to build, promote and retain VCH’s public profile with a diverse range of audiences, helping us to drive volunteer sign-ups in Hackney, and promote our services to a wide range of stakeholders.

We have recently launched a whole new website and branding, so this is an exciting time to join our team. We have started to work together with residents to make films and are making plans to increase both our reach into specific communities, as well as promote our impact to new funders and partners.

You will plan, write and distribute a range of content across the marketing mix including our website, blog, newsletters, social media and in print. This includes writing copy and sourcing imagery for VCH events and activities, creating regular e-bulletins, updating social media channels, creating content to share the impact of our work, as well as helping to promote outreach and other events and activities to various diverse communities. This will be done together with VCH staff and volunteers, who you will support to co-produce interesting content.

You will take the lead in developing and implementing regular communications campaigns that celebrate the diversity of, and our work with Hackney’s local communities. You will roll out our brand refresh across all our programmes, working together with VCH staff to ensure buy-in. About the role:

Working across the People team the People and Talent Coordinator is an essential for the organisation, contributing to the long- term development and performance of the People directorate.  The postholder will have excellent communications skills, a keen eye for detail and an ability to work on their own initiative in a fast-paced environment. The role provides technical expertise and support on Talent, People and L&D related matters, including actively supporting the end- to- end recruitment for all posts, using ATS/HRIS systems, strong contribution towards inductions and DBS checks. Home-Start is committed to promoting the welfare of families with young children to enable them to have the best start in life. We are recruiting a Family Support Coordinator to help us provide targeted, specialised support to families in Barnet, who could be struggling with any of a range of issues. This includes those with children under the age of 5, expecting parents who may be experiencing poor mental health or families with complex circumstances with children up to the age of 19.

Our Coordinators are integral members of the Home-Start team, as well as wider teams of professionals from universal and specialist services to provide a coordinated response to families’ needs. They assess need and carefully match volunteers with families. This may include instigating Early Help assessments and attending case planning meetings. 

Coordinators work with their own volunteer team, ensuring they are supported and fully trained to achieve the best outcomes for families and, in particular, the children. Coordinators work with families in their own home. They are skilled in recognising and responding to safeguarding concerns, be apt in completing strengths-based assessments and conversations. They also have a deep understanding of the issues families can face and the link with childhood development and difficulties they may experience later in life.

The post holder will build on our existing work and our relationships in Barnet, to deliver a volunteer-led home-visiting service and related activities to local families. This will require a good working knowledge of the borough, community partners and agencies. You will ideally be co-located in one of the community centres or community venues but will be required to travel around the borough regularly. Coordinators will allso participate in weekly family groups in each borough, based in the children's centres and family hubs.

We are recruiting a Coordinator for Barnet to cover a period of secondment until 31st March 2025. However, there may be an opportunity for this to be extended further subject to funding. The work is largely field-based, but will require regular days in the office which is in Finchley, Barnet.
