Our client is a small UK rare disease charity. Our client established at the end of 2015 to respond to Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS). MCAS is a crippling, unpredictable and frightening condition affecting the immune system. Sufferers from MCAS have “wrongly programmed” immune systems that react to a wide range of triggers including food, drink, stress, temperature and many others. The effects range from unpleasant allergic reactions, through to an overall debilitation resulting in people being unable to leave their houses. It was first recognised internationally in 1990, with a set of diagnostic criteria agreed in 2011, but is little known or understood in the UK, where incidence seems to be increasing. Here patients can wait 3-5 years for a diagnosis, often receive very little knowledge or help from within the medical establishment and can find themselves in a frightening limbo.

We have a proud history of volunteer and supporter-led fundraising, and our well-established Regional Relationships Team plays a key role in achieving income growth that will support our mission of beating blood cancer in a generation by developing new regional opportunities across our volunteer and community fundraising network. As part of our new strategy, we have launched a revised DIY fundraising journey and new fundraising volunteer roles which will help leap-forward our ability to beat blood cancer. This role will be responsible for maintaining relationships with our current network of regional fundraising volunteers whilst growing our volunteer and community group network.
Working alongside dedicated colleagues, this is the perfect role for someone looking to put their experience of working with regional supporters and in providing first-class supporter stewardship to use in helping us develop our team. You will be an integral part of our Regional Relationships Team and a member of our wider Public Fundraising team, as we seek to deliver transformational growth in our income. You will enjoy the active support and buy-in of senior colleagues, the Executive Team and other senior volunteers who are all committed to achieving our fundraising goals. We are seeking an experienced fundraiser who enjoys building relationships internally and externally, and who is driven to help us build our regional fundraising programme.
This is a homebased role, and you will be expected to travel across your region, therefore you must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle insured for business use. Travel across Home Counties North region on a regular basis to meet supporters and key stakeholders (Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire), as well as national travel 6-8 times a year.

Alzheimer’s Society Local Services teams provide exceptional support, information, advice and guidance for people affected by dementia. As a Regional Manager, you will be home based, leading and inspiring geographically dispersed teams across a large region, whilst working as part of a wider Services Management Team. The areas you will be responsible for are Cheshire, Merseyside, Isle of Man, and Lancashire and South Cumbria. There are several contracts and funded services within the region, delivered by a large team.
Your role will be to provide strong leadership and management of our dementia support services. You will be accountable for the delivery of services that meet internal and external quality requirements. You will work collaboratively to build relationships and engage external stakeholders, including Local Authorities and Health colleagues and Commissioners within an Integrated Care System setting. Influencing for system level changes whilst ensuring strong contract management is a critical part of the role.
About you

- You will need to have experience of leading and managing teams in a health and social care environment. Experience of working in a dementia related role is not essential, but an understanding of person centred care and support is important.

- You will have experience of working from home or in the community, and you will be confident in building relationships and team engagement through a mix of virtual solutions and face to face team activity.
- Ideally you will live within the North West of England regional boundary (areas listed above) and be passionate about making a difference for people affected by dementia.
- You will have great interpersonal skills and as a strategic leader, you will understand the opportunities and challenges of leading service delivery across a dispersed geographical area.
- You will be comfortable with monitoring and analysing data and trends, making evidence informed decisions and ensuring quality standards are realised.
- The right experience of delivering services, coaching and developing others, and a solution focussed approach are key.
- You will have a commitment to building inclusive services, ensuring equity and valuing diversity.

Regional Safeguarding Manager (South East)
The Methodist Church in Great Britain is committed to ensuring its churches are safe spaces for all. We have an exciting opportunity to join our new safeguarding service and take forward this work supporting Methodist churches and work. The post holder will work alongside the Director for Safeguarding in some strategic duties, and will line manage a regional team of Safeguarding Officers who will carry specific responsibility for individual cases and risk assessments, training and advise to churches. The post predominantly covers the districts in the South East and will involve regular travel.
The successful candidate will hold a relevant professional qualification and extensive relevant experience and expertise in child and/or adult protection.

We're looking for a Community Fundraising Manager - it's a great opportunity to develop a plan and deliver a diverse portfolio of fundraising activities to engage people with our work and contribute to our income.
You will manage a team to help develop innovative fundraising products, grow our supporter base and provide exceptional supporter stewardship.
Income generation
- Responsible for supporting the development of a 3-year community fundraising income strategy to grow income from a modest base of £125k per year to circa £275k per year.
- Implement the operational plan for community fundraising income.
- Plan, develop and deliver new community fundraising products, campaigns and events that will resonate with stakeholders including members, donors and volunteers to fundraise.
- Work collaboratively with Comms, Marketing & Digital teams to develop and drive forward promotion of community fundraising to reach existing and new audiences, including developing content for social channels, e-comms, webpages and fundraising packs.
- Establish a network of community fundraisers, building relationships with community fundraising ‘champions’, and providing excellent supporter care and timely communication.
- Evaluate community fundraising projects regularly and make changes when necessary.
Leadership, management and collaboration
- Lead the community fundraising programme in line with Marine Conservation Society values and organisational culture.
- Contribute to fundraising cross-team planning and strategy development.
- Line management of 2 part-time Community Fundraising support roles with responsibility for operational delivery of their fundraising plans and performance management including, 1-2-1 meetings, appraisals, day-day performance management against KPI’s, motivation and objective setting.
- Build collaborative relationships with peers across the charity.
Governance & reporting
- Manage the overall budget for community fundraising, including monitoring of income and expenditure against budget.
- Setting, measuring, and reporting against agreed KPIs
- Ensure the Community Fundraising team are accurately recording the receipt of donations and gifts received from supporters.
- Ensure accurate financial and CRM supporter records are maintained and accessible.
- Ensure all relationships comply with relevant charity law, GDPR requirements and the charity’s Ethical Fundraising Policy.
- Work with our Data Manager, Head of Marketing, and the Fundraising team to ensure the CRM database holds key, relevant profile information on supporters.
- Attend department and organisational meetings reporting on team related matters as required and cascading organisational priorities as appropriate.
Knowledge and experience (what you’ll know)
Essential
- A track record in community fundraising or similar, with the ability to demonstrate success in meeting financial targets and income growth.
- Can demonstrate your experience of supporting the development of 3-5 year strategic plans
- Experience of developing and leading on annual operating plans in line with strategic goals.
- Can show your line management experience, including knowledge of successfully developing and motivating a team.
- Can successfully set and manage multi-year budgets.
- Good knowledge of and experience of working with CRM databases including the collection and storage of data in line with GDPR.
- Sound knowledge of current fundraising trends and knowledge of fundraising policies, procedures and legalities.
Desirable
- Experience of establishing and growing new community fundraising products.
- Project management experience, able to plan and deliver within set timescales.
