We’re looking for a Fundraising Administrator to support the Fundraising and Comms team at PTES. As the Senior Trusts and Foundations Manager you will be responsible for researching suitable five and six figure funding opportunities that are in line with Whizz Kidz's strategic plan and fundraising priorities. New business will be an initial key focus for the role, the post holder will also manage a number of existing high value grants and ensure strong stewardship of existing partnerships.

• be the first point of contact for the Legal team, representing the charity in communications with legal professionals and the public,
• manage your own caseload of legacies, maintaining relationships with legal professionals, members of the public, and other beneficiaries to ensure income is processed swiftly,
• support with the administration of legacy data, from handling post to ensuring information is recorded accurately in the database.

Grants and Trusts Manager

We are seeking a Grants and Trusts Manager to join our Fundraising team and lead on gaining income from grant-making bodies.

The aim of this amazing charity is to help improve the lives of young people in Burnt Oak by giving them ‘somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to’. If you have a passion for putting young people first, we want to hear from you!

Position: Grants and Trusts Manager

Location: Burnt Oak, London. This is a hybrid position, though for an exceptional candidate we may consider fully-remote

Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 per annum FTE (pro rata-ed depending on number of days a week the successful candidate contracts to)

Hours: Permanent, 4 days a week (32 hours, 0.8 FTE). Hours worked are flexible and certainly you are not tied to “9-5”. We will also consider applications from someone wishing to work 3 days a week (24 hours, 0.6 FTE)

About the role:

A part of the Fundraising team, as Grants and Trusts Manager you will lead on gaining income from grant-making bodies. You will line manage the Grants and Trusts Officer, and will need to develop strong relationships with the Delivery team, so you can match their funding needs to the right funder and get the right information from them to ensure a high quality of reporting.

Other key responsibilities will include:

· Overseeing a pipeline of grants and trusts applications, re-applications and reporting

· Working closely with the Delivery team to ensure the right bids are being submitted

· Working with the Impact and Insight Officer to shape monitoring and evaluation strategy and practice

· Leading tours and face-to-face and online meetings with Foundation staff and Trustees

· Working within the broader Fundraising team, supporting colleagues and department-wide projects

About you:

To be successful in the role of Grants and Trusts Manager you will have experience of trust and grant bid writing within a professional setting.

You will also need to bring with you the following skills and experience:

· Produce compelling asks and proposals in line with the charity's objectives and the funders requirements

· Experience of gathering, understanding and presenting complex information and data

· Experience of working within a charity fundraising environment

· Experience of cultivating relationships with funders, both via verbal and written methods of communication

· Ability to prioritise tasks, manage own time and achieve strict / multiple deadlines

· High level of IT competence, excellent internet research skills and database management

· Motivated to improve young people’s lives for the better

About Women in Prison

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation. We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.

This role will be prison-based. About the role

Stick 'n' Step already have established relationships within trusts and foundations; however, they have big plans to diversify their portfolio and reach a larger range of supporters. To do this, they are looking for a Trusts and Grants Fundraising Manager to join the team. In your role, you'll meet and exceed their trusts and grants targets through fundraising proposals. Your day to day will involve preparing compelling written applications, reports, and thank you letters, and supporting the stewardship of donors, along with working with the classroom team to research and identify impact stories, case studies, images and videos to include in your applications. As part of your role, you'll work closely with an amazing Chief Executive and Head of Conductive Education.

About you

This role will suit a skilled relationship builder and communicator with experience writing successful and compelling fundraising applications. You'll need a track record of meeting income targets and the ability to present to a high standard.

You'll also need to have strong organisational skills, with experience in planning and prioritising multiple projects at once. You'll be comfortable working independently and as part of a team. You'll also be someone who is able to project gravitas and credibility to high level supporters.
