Role Requirements
- Lead the development and implementation of marketing and communications strategies to support the delivery of The Children’s Trust’s strategic objectives

- Play a key role in the Fundraising, Retail and Communications Leadership team, promoting cross-team working and integration to optimise opportunities and manage risks effectively
- Development of content, including written, video and graphic content, tailored for the intended audience and produced for maximum reach and efficiency
- Develop and deliver marketing campaigns that support organisational recruitment and the development of the workforce, working in close collaboration with the People team – with a particular focus on ensuring a steady flow of applicants for key clinical roles
- Lead the development and implementation of an integrated communications plan, with consideration of the key messages and audiences from across The Children’s Trust, where relevant working closely with the Head of Business Development and Commissioning where audiences may include referrers and commissioners
- Lead The Children’s Trust press office function, supported by the Senior Media and Communications Manager, including being part of an out-of-hours on call press office rota during key periods
- Oversee and promote the consistent use of brand across all channels including core messages, tone and visual brand
- Responsible for the strategic development of The Children’s Trust website and overview of content, working with business owners across the organisation to ensure content is accurate, compliant and effective

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual with a commitment to animal welfare to join our team working in our busy Rehoming Centre.
We are seeking an Adoption Advisor to work with potential adopters, explaining the adoption process, assessing their requirements for rehoming and matching them to dogs appropriate to their circumstances. To assist other members of the public visiting or calling the rehoming centre with their queries, this may include providing support to people wishing to handover their dogs for rehoming.
About this job:
As an Adoption Advisor you’ll:
- Deliver the highest level of customer service, discussing rehoming applications, answering queries and matching and rehoming dogs effectively, including translating dog’s character assessments to customers and introduce dogs to potential adopters confidently and safely.
- Process rehoming and waiting list enquiries received via our customer relationship management software.
- Assist the Media Coordinator to promote dogs available for rehoming and updating website profiles including photos.
About you:
The successful candidate will have a positive, proactive attitude and willingness to work with members of the public, staff and volunteers. They’ll be able to work on their own initiative, have experience in handling dogs and the complexities involved regarding matching dogs to potential adopters. They’ll also have excellent communication (verbal and written), a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and strong administrative and organisational skills.

About Pennyhooks: Pennyhooks Farm Trust, in Oxfordshire, provides a haven for over 30 individuals with autism, many of whom are non-verbal or have complex sensory needs. The Role: In this pivotal position, you'll design and execute a fundraising strategy for Pennyhooks Farm Trust to secure and meet ongoing revenue targets. In addition, you will work on an urgent and vital capital project to secure essential funding to develop residential accommodation on the farm, to sustain the purposeful working of these young people as they grow older, providing them with a home and a job for life. About the role
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Trusts & Foundations specialist to expand EngineeringUK’s relationships in this field and develop grant-funding as a core income stream for our work. We receive significant funding from grant funders already but are looking to scale this income stream. This gives the successful candidate the opportunity to have an early impact and have influence over the direction of our strategy for grant-funding.
Whilst this is currently the sole role focusing on this area, you would be supported by the Director of Business Development & Partnerships and the Chief Executive, both of whom have experience in this type of fundraising. Senior level engagement and support means we can be flexible to the level of experience of the successful candidate, making this role a great opportunity for an experienced Manager wanting to take ownership of a strategy, or for a Specialist looking to take their next step and develop their strategic skills.
The Trusts & Foundations Manager role will be part of the Business & Industry team (11 people), who have responsibility for all funding and industry relationships across EngineeringUK. The team works strategically with stakeholders across the engineering, technology and education sectors, to support our mission to increase the number and diversity of young people choosing engineering and technology careers. Opportunities for funding include our bursary programme, in-school programmes such as EnergyQuest and Climate Schools, Big Bang Programme, supporting our community of Code signatories, and developing new programmes.
Once funding is secured, the postholder will account manage the relationship and see the project through to contract-end. Therefore, in addition to being able to secure new funding, interest in and experience of delivering excellent account management is essential.
Whilst the core focus of the role will be on developing relationships with trusts & foundations, there may also be some opportunities to explore key relationships we hold in government, particularly for some larger projects we have on the horizon.
The role is London based at our office at 10 Lower Thames Street, London EC3R 6EN and may involve some travel in the UK. Essential Skills / Competencies
- Experience of identifying, securing and delivering grant-funding from trusts, foundations and/or government.
- Good understanding of the grant-giving environment, with the ability to quickly identify the spaces and conversations your organisation should be engaging in.
- Experience of building and prioritising a pipeline.
- Confidence securing introductions to new people and organisations in-person, virtually, and through written correspondence.
- Excellent writing skills, with the ability to condense detailed information and present it in a compelling and persuasive way for a variety of audiences.
- Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport, understand, and respond to the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.

St Martins is an iconic 300 year old church in Trafalgar Square in London, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors each year, and The St Martin-in-the-Fields Trust exists solely to raise money to support the costs of maintaining and conserving the historic buildings, for developing new faith based initiatives and projects to support homeless people in London and for the advancement of their world class music programmes across the globe.
In this pivotal role, the new Trusts and Foundations Manager will focus on securing gifts through applications to trusts, foundations, livery companies and statutory funders.
Primarily responsible for the management of an existing pipeline of a diverse pool of trusts and foundations, both existing and prospective, you will maximise philanthropic support for St Martin-in-the-Fields and its Trust. You will have:
- A proven track record in developing and writing high quality communications, (fundraising applications, proposals and impact reports).

We’re looking to recruit a skilled and strategic Trusts and Foundations Manager who is passionate about weaving stories and stats together in a way that inspires funders to support 24-7 Prayer. You’ll be someone who loves building genuine relationships with funders, can seek out new opportunities, manage numerous existing relationships to a high standard, and write compelling applications.
In this role, you’ll bring experience in Trusts and Foundations fundraising. You’ll have effective and excellent written and verbal communication skills with a knack for making funders feel truly connected to our movement. We are a relational movement and seek someone who both values and demonstrates authentic connection with people. Alongside this, you will have a personal passion for prayer, mission and justice.
This role would suit someone with previous experience of working with grant makers, and we’d also be open to hearing from people with transferable skills.

To support this important work, we are looking for a Programme Funding Manager to secure significant and sustainable funding through matching donor’s purpose and values with Embrace’s programme and partnership strategy.
Recognising the philanthropy landscape is changing, we want to invest in building on the solid foundations that have been laid by the current major giving team with this new Programme Funding Manager (initially for 1 year). The focus of this new role will be to shift our trust and foundation fundraising approach towards developing thematic proposals, specifically funding Embrace’s Christian Partners to provide support for services including but not limited to; refugees, displaced communities fleeing violence, enable women's empowerment, psychosocial support for young people, education services, community development and emergency humanitarian relief. Never has there been a more poignant time to help and support people in this troubled region.
About the role:
The Programme Funding Manager will work closely with Embrace’s Director of Fundraising and Major Gift colleagues to secure £500,000 per annum from Major Donors, Trusts, Foundations and Corporates.
Working collaboratively with Embrace’s Programme and Partnerships colleagues, you will create, develop and agree funding proposals to support our partners with programming developments, around thematic proposals that fund work in multiple countries. This work will encompass, producing compelling, persuasive and professional applications to secure and renew funding. This will result in achieving substantial donations and long-term partnership with donors through excellent stewardship, characterised by clearly articulating to trusts, funder’s philanthropic interests, providing captivating reports to encourage the renewal and cultivation of potential and existing donations. You will develop and maintain an exemplary understanding of the context and challenges of Embrace’s Christian partners, deliver high quality applications to either achieve or exceed targets and ensure donors are professionally thanked and their support acknowledged as appropriate.
About you:
This role requires a proven understanding of successful programme design and ability to innovate our approach to fundraising from charitable trusts, foundations and corporate donors, coupled with pre-emptively writing pitch proposals that marry donor purpose, and an ability to present detailed reports illustrating the impact of Embrace’s work through its Christian partners in the region. Suitable candidates will be motivated and inspired to support Embrace’s Christian partners to transform lives and restore the dignity of the most excluded and marginalised, helping change the lives of marginalised people living with poverty, injustice, disability, trauma and displacement caused by conflict, and other challenges. You will have a sympathy for Embrace’s mission with the Christian faith and be comfortable working in a faith-inspired environment.
Suitable skills and experience include:
- A track record in developing new funding sources, writing applications and reporting on projects raising 5/6-figure sums for multi-year projects
- Ability to identify potential new funding opportunities and have experience of writing detailed reports and delivering pitches on the phone and/or in person
- A highly collaborative approach, a problem solver and lateral thinker
- Willingness to travel to visit Embrace’s programmes in the Middle East (once or twice every 2 years)
- Translating strategy into cases for funding support
- A propositional / front-footed approach, proactively prioritising workload to deliver multiple projects at the same high standard
- Strong written communication and interpersonal skills with proven track record in face-to-face pitching to prospects and the ability to present orally and in writing
- Ability to influence, negotiate and persuade others to gain acceptance or agreement of ideas and approaches
- Competent level of computer literacy, including use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and CRM system
- Self-motivated, be able to work from home and be able to travel to London and other areas as required
