We have a highly skilled team of 30 full-time employees in Malawi implementing this work, based out of two offices in the Northern Region. Our UK office in Bristol comprises a small fundraising and operations team of seven staff (two team members are full-time, all other team members are part-time), 3-5 regular volunteers and interns, and a wider family of volunteers and supporters.

Temwa UK has an experienced and high functioning board of Trustees who are very engaged. The board member who oversees the fundraising portfolio is very active, providing support to the Fundraising & Development Manager and the fundraising team as a whole.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Managing the fundraising strategy and donor relations with oversight of the fundraising office

• Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate the charity’s income generation strategy, ensuring targets are achieved.
• Align the fundraising strategy with the communications and marketing strategy.
• Act as the organizational expert on income generation, leading the team to expand all relevant fundraising streams.
• Maintain and enhance current income streams, including trust fundraising, corporate fundraising, high value donors, and individual giving.
• Maintain relationships with key donors and their specific requirements.
• Collaborate with the Programme Advisor and Programmes Director in Malawi to align community needs with donor priorities.
• Lead, research & review the opportunities to apply for institutional funding with the Programme Advisor.
• Manage donor relations and communication with the Managing Director, Programme Advisor, and UK fundraising team.
• Contribute to donor reporting and distribution donor reports, and ensure compliance to donor-relevant obligations with the Programme Advisor.
• The Fundraising & Development Manager will report directly to the MD and Board of Trustees.

2. Providing leadership to and managing the fundraising team

• Develop, coach, inspire, and motivate the team to achieve their objectives and grow their skills.
• Conduct regular one-to-ones with direct reports, ensuring effective performance management with timely appraisals.
• Ensure team members have clear work plans and objectives.
• Champion best practices in particular with use of the database, ensuring all legal and compliance standards are met and, where possible, exceeded in fundraising and marketing activities.
• Recruit key fundraising team members as needed.
• Support the fundraising team in designing and managing effective marketing and communications strategies.
• Facilitate effective internal and external communication, sharing information, successes, and best practices.

3. Growing income streams

• Lead and manage all fundraising areas in the UK office, ensuring targets are met.
• Develop and manage comprehensive budgets, providing performance information to the Senior Management Team and Trustees.
• Ensure effective management of the donor journey for all contacts.
• Research and develop business cases for new income generation areas to drive sustainability.
• Implement and evaluate new income generation projects.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with significant supporters, making effective asks to maximize income.
• Adhere to best practices and embed a culture of learning within the organization.
• Develop and implement a strategy to increase corporate fundraising through the Temwa Carbon Balance Programme.
• Grow and develop SME and corporate partnerships with support from the Managing Director and Fundraising Trustee.
• Develop and implement a strategy to increase corporate funding, individual giving, institutional funding and trust & foundation funding.
• Lead on all grant applications, including trust & foundation and institutional. 
• Manage individual giving campaigns and online activities with support from the fundraising team.
• Source individual stories and images, brief internal and external teams, and write copy as needed.
• Ensure adherence to the individual giving strategy to increase income in this area. ?

4. Senior management

• Collaborate with the management team to reach key audiences and achieve strategic goals.
• Provide strategic direction for fundraising and communications, nurturing team members to develop their skills.
• Ensure all parts of the organization understand income generation and fundraising.
• Represent the charity externally.
• Provide advice and guidance to colleagues and Trustees.
• Play an active role in updating the organization’s strategic plan and shaping the charity's future direction.

· Serve as the deputy to the Managing Director when the MD is in Malawi or on annual leave.

5. Policies and procedures

• Develop and improve relevant policies for the organization.
• Evaluate and suggest improvements for systems used to support fundraising
• Create procedures to enhance the efficiency of fundraising activities.

Experience, Qualifications, and Requirements:

The ideal applicant would have the following attributes

· Experience of working in a senior fundraising role

· Certificate or diploma from the Institue of Fundraising or similar

· Track record of setting and achieving fundraising income targets

· Experience of managing people

· Experience of working within small and large NGOs or charities

· Ability to write compelling bids/business cases and reports

We are seeking a Mission Enabler, Regional Mission to work in partnership with key staff across the Movement. Job Purpose

As the Head of Fundraising, your primary responsibility is to lead the strategic direction and execution of Village Water’s fundraising efforts, with a focus on diversifying income streams and maximising revenue generation. You will oversee all fundraising activities, particularly in Trusts and Foundations (both UK and International), corporate partnerships, High Value Donors, and statutory bodies. Your role involves crafting compelling funding applications and reports, creating an ambitious fundraising strategy, applying for and securing large multi-year grants from new and existing donors, ensuring exemplary donor stewardship, and fostering collaboration across teams to achieve fundraising goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine a comprehensive fundraising strategy, with a specific emphasis on Trusts and Foundations & corporate fundraising, to ensure a steady pipeline of funding opportunities. The role

As a Community Coordinator Assistant for FareShare, your primary responsibility will be to manage and sustain the Community Food Membership (CFM) programme. Your goal will be to maximize relationships and add value to create the best experience for our charity partners. To excel in this role, you must be an exceptional communicator with an approachable nature, capable of securing, developing, and maintaining relationships with charities, and raising awareness of FareShare Merseyside and North Wales (FSM&NW) across the region.

The Community Coordinator Assistant will require a full clean driving licence, have access to a vehicle and be competent and confident traveling independently as they will be traveling across our region. Which consists of, Wirral, Knowsley, Sefton, Halton, Cheshire East and North Wales.

This role is vital in ensuring the success and sustainability of the FareShare Community Food Membership programme by fostering strong, supportive relationships with our charity partners and making a positive impact across the region.

Main areas of responsibility

The Community Coordinator Assistant will be responsible for the recruitment and retention of Community Food Members (CFMs) within the designated region. This role requires close collaboration with the Regional Manager, the Finance team, and Head Office. The Community Coordinator Assistant is expected to meet recruitment and retention targets, produce comprehensive reports, and ensure all requirements of funders are met.

• Some experience with customer relationships management systems.

About Kingston Charitable Foundation

Kingston CF launched as an independent charity in January 2021, following eight successful years as local community fundraising project, Love Kingston. We are a small, dedicated team with over 30 years' third sector experience between us, and we work closely with our very supportive Board of Trustees.

Our mission is to:

• Identify where social needs exist in our area through commissioning, publishing, and utilising the best research available

• Provide funds to local support groups that have the expertise to alleviate need, enrich people’s lives and improve their life chances

• Inspire and engage with local donors to help build sustainable long-term funds to support our vision

• Build sustainable funds to increase the level of immediate and long-term resources available to organisations with charitable purposes across the borough of Kingston upon Thames

By awarding grants, Kingston CF enables community groups and small charities to continue to deliver much needed services and support across the borough. Our staff costs are entirely grant funded from other organisations, so that of every £1 raised through fundraising, 90p goes directly to these good causes supporting local people in our shared community.

There has never been a better time to join our ambitious team; Kingston CF is currently Charity of the Year for Kingston Chamber of Commerce, and we are undertaking Peer Research this summer, into ‘What Kingston Thinks’ with Rocket Science to inform and support the shaping of our strategy for the next 3 years.

Are you a successful and experienced fundraiser within the charity sector, who is goal oriented and wants to make a difference to the lives of survivors in Staffordshire?

We are looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to join us at an exciting time following a significant period of growth and development.   You will be responsible for developing the charity’s fundraising strategy to sustain and grow front-line services and lead on securing income through a range of diverse sources, including fundraising activities (annual income approx. £1.9 million).  As part of the senior leadership team, you will be in a rewarding and influential role where your success will directly contribute to the protection and growth of our support services for those affected by domestic violence, sexual violence and other forms of violence against women.

The large part of our services are run by women for women, and this role is therefore restricted to female applicants under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, and Part 1, Section 7(2)e of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 apply.  The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act.

You will work alongside the Head of Research, Evidence and Learning to help improve the collection, management and analysis of data from THET’s programmes and external engagement. THET is experiencing an exciting time of growth, and you will play a critical role in improving learning within the organisation, ensuring that the impact of the work we do is accurately captured and analysed, helping us sustain and improve crucial Health System Strengthening and Health Workforce Strengthening initiatives across the globe.

You will play a leading role in the operation and improvement of our data capture and analysis tools, including our Salesforce-based programmes MEL portal. You will contribute to the development of a data strategy for the organisation, and associated process improvement. You will help to ensure the quality of data, and contribute to research, programmatic learning, advocacy and more. To be successful in this role, you will be a fast learner, get things done and excel in working across teams as well as managing a varied portfolio of work. You will be a strategic thinker with an ability to manage complex problems in situations with significant uncertainty.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Management and Analysis:

• Review and oversee data management processes, including storage and retrieval of data.
• Support the quality assurance of data across platforms, including data cleaning and audit, and providing input to the improvement of data collection.
• Lead on the development of data analysis reports as required, for programmes, research or advocacy.
• Contribute to the analytical design of research initiatives and knowledge products.
• Lead on the oversight and analysis of strategic data points over time. Create and maintain dynamic data visualisations.

2. Organisational Improvement

• Contribute to the development of a data strategy aligned with THET’s wider learning agenda.
• Identify issues and lead on the improvement of data related processes. Develop tools/guidance and engage in staff capacity building.

3. Programmes MEL Portal (Salesforce based)

• Ensure best practices are embedded across the use of the portal for quality, relevant data capture.
• Lead on the capacity development of staff and partners on use of the portal for data collection and extraction.
• Ensure the portal is fit for purpose, including interacting with service providers on troubleshooting and improvement.

The Insight Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring Power to Change’s research and insight programme is rigorous, creative and high impact. The role also gathers and shares robust evidence and learning about our approach and the community business sector.

The Insight Manager will work with colleagues across the organisation to manage and deliver several key insight projects, and support the Associate Director for Policy & Insight to implement the organisation’s Insight Strategy.

Westway Trust is a community-guided organisation located in North Kensington which runs an adult learning programme of accredited and non-accredited provision across a range of subjects. We aim to enable people to progress in work, in learning and in life. Our learners come from a variety of backgrounds and have different prior experiences of learning. 

The primary responsibility of the Digital Skills Tutor will be to design and deliver high quality, learner-centred teaching, and learning and assessment experiences to our employed and unemployed adult learners from Entry level to Level 1, while supporting the Adult and Community Learning Manager to achieve the Trust’s strategic objectives.

This is a sessional hours role. The working hours will be discussed and agreed at interview stage.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

Teaching

• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality teaching and learning sessions, workshops, and tutorials in line with the curriculum requirements and the needs of individual learners, ensuring learning objectives are met
• Assess learners’ abilities and identify areas for improvement, tailoring teaching and learning methods and resources accordingly
• Rigorously monitor and track learners’ progress, providing regular feedback and implementing strategies to address areas of weakness or underperformance
• Set and mark assignments, tests, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to learners to support their learning and improvement
• Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, actively promoting learner participation, motivation, and confidence in professional development
• Maintain accurate records of learners' attendance, progress, and assessment outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements

Administration

• To carry out and keep records of initial and diagnostic assessments, identifying areas for improvement, tailoring teaching and learning methods and resources accordingly
• To identify materials and equipment/resource needs to assist the provision of teaching and learning by students
• To develop differentiated Individual Learning Plans with students, monitor and track learners’ progress, providing regular feedback and strategically addressing areas of weakness Maintaining up to date course files and submitting accurate data on attendance and achievement within agreed deadlines
• Preparing groups of learners for accredited assessment (exam or portfolio) & non-accredited assessment (RARPA), marking assessments and taking part in internal moderation and/or consultation meetings with appropriate Trust staff

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Essential

• Practical work experience as an ICT Tutor, demonstrating hands-on knowledge and skills applicable to real-world scenarios
• Experience of teaching adult learners and an understanding of appropriate teaching strategies in a similar role
• Experience of devising course outlines and schemes of work
• Experience of managing mixed groups of learners
• Knowledge and experience of working with a variety of exam boards
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to work as part of a highly collaborative team

Desirable

• Understanding of the RARPA (Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement in non-accredited learning) system
• Experience of working/teaching refugees and or asylum seekers
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices to impart essential knowledge to students
• The ability to speak a community language

Qualifications:

Essential

• Level 3 or above subject specialism qualification, such as IT User Skills, 
• A full teaching qualification for working in adult learning (DTLLS, PGCE or DET)

The Social Media Manager is an integral role within the Marketing team at CoppaFeel! and will play an essential part in supporting our 3-year organisational growth strategy. The Social Media Manager needs to be social obsessed with a keen eye for new and emerging trends that will ensure CoppaFeel!’s social channels organically reach our 18 - 24 year old target audience. 

In this role you’ll work with our Senior Social Media Manager to execute and manage the delivery of our social media strategy. You will be responsible for our social media content creation, ensuring we stay on top of emerging trends and that our health messaging is delivered in an accurate way. You will work collaboratively with the wider Marketing, Fundraising, Operations and Education teams within the organisation. 

This role is a hyrbid role, with an expectation to be in the office 2 days per week.

The right candidate will be proactive, creative and organised, as well as being fully immersed in youth culture and digital trends. Ultimately you will have a real desire to make a difference, ensuring that all breast cancers are diagnosed early. 

About CoppaFeel!

CoppaFeel! is the UK’s only breast cancer charity awareness charity for young people. Our mission is to ensure all breast cancers are diagnosed early and accurately by educating young people on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, encouraging them to check and empowering them to speak to their GP if they notice something unusual.

• As the heartbeat of our social channels, you’ll ensure that we’re agile and reactive to emerging trends. You’ll be creating engaging content both in and out of the office, engaging with our target audience.

• Stay up to date with industry news, to enable us to be innovative and promote the growth of our channels. 
• Work with young people to ensure that our social channels are the product of co-creation.

• Experience with social media management software (i.e. Sprout Social).
• Photography skills and use of DSLR camera. 
• Proficient in design software including Adobe Creative Suite and Canva with an aptitude for visual design.
