About us
Who we are
From small beginnings, launching under the iconic Waterloo clock in 1995, Railway Children has quickly grown to become a respected, international charity, driving sustainable change and transforming the lives of thousands of children every year.
Each day – across the UK, India and Tanzania – poverty, violence, family breakdown, neglect and mental health challenges force thousands of children from their homes. But, on streets and at transport hubs, young people are vulnerable to exploitation, trafficking and abuse – and the longer they are missing, the greater the chances they will be lost to the streets for good.
Thankfully, each day – across the UK, India and Tanzania – there are also dedicated and passionate Railway Children colleagues who are changing the lives of these children with nowhere else to go and no-one else tourn to.
Railway Children believes in a world where every child can thrive, away from a life on the streets. As we develop our strategy to 2030, we have ambitious plans to ensure no child is left behind, wherever we work.
Will you join us and be part of something amazing?
