At TLC, we support the development of ethical, sustainable living and deceased donor kidney transplant programs, through collaboration with our specialist transplant volunteers from the UK NHS. Through various teaching methods and resources, including travel to partner centres, we empower overseas healthcare professionals (HCPs). TLC is the 'go-to' organisation for fledgling transplant programmes. We achieve this through direct training, transplant missions and observerships supplemented with mentoring, online teaching, resources and support

We are looking for a Partner Centre Project Manager who will manage all aspects of TLC partner projects. The Partner Centre Project Manager will be responsible for delivering the objectives outlined in the strategy and managing the training/mentoring programs for partner centres.

The TLC Team

Transplant Links is a small, flexible, and highly motivated team comprising a CEO, Director of Medical Activities, and Project Administrator. The Partner Centre Project Manager will report directly to the CEO, and collaborate closely with the Director of Medical Activities, working with over 50 NHS volunteers.

The Role

As we have expanded our global reach we need a Partner Centre Project Manager to develop and implement training programs in our partner centres worldwide. Primary responsibilities include project management of partner centres coordinating their training and resource allocation, and stakeholder communication  (healthcare institutions, supporters, HCPs). This involves organising missions, where a team of UK volunteers travels to facilitate living donor kidney transplants in situ. These missions will be led and supervised by the project manager.

The Partner Centre Project Manager also assesses and addresses the evolving needs of partner medical centres, ensuring that the training programs remain pertinent and customised to the specific requirements of partner centres. They will monitor the program’s expenditure within agreed budgets and ensure compliance of the activities and expenditure with TLC policies, whilst also taking the lead on program reporting to supporters. Crucially, they will be responsible for liaising with local program leaders (doctors, nurses and hospital managers), volunteer HCPs from the UK and stakeholders in the field (often Health Ministries and hospital management).

Primary accountabilities include: the completion of missions within a given time frame; abiding by the policies and procedures in place to ensure the safety of TLC volunteers and staff; identifying and managing risks within programs and proposing mitigation strategies; moving each partner centre through the phases of development as per the strategy; assessing prospective partner centres; progress reporting and communicating performance; managing budgets and resourcing requirements

Example tasks include meeting online with partner centres; writing plans and budgets for overseas missions; meeting online with a current or potential sponsor of a partner centre; liaising with TLC volunteers; facilitating meetings with key stakeholders; making in person visits in UK and abroad; working with TLC volunteers to design itineraries for upcoming observerships; preparing performance reports on centre progress and KPI’s

Role Requirements - Candidate Specification

We invite applicants with strong leadership qualities and an appetite for solving complex problems to apply to join our team. Applicants should have excellent project/program management and organisational skills and at least 5 years of project management experience at a similar level, preferably with a background in a relevant international/development management or implementation role, and ideally in healthcare and the charity sector. 

With demonstrable experience in designing, initiating and leading complex development processes and programs, applicants should have a significant understanding of budget management, time management, stakeholder management and financial reporting. Previous experience in successfully managing complex programs within the international development and/or health sectors is needed, and experience working in LMICs would be desirable.

The Partner Centre Project Manager will be expected to work from home on a laptop/computer and to travel overseas to partner centres as needed. They will be working both with other members of the TLC team at times and on their own.

This is a new role, as we are looking to appoint our first Fundraising Manager.

THE ROLE

Labour Behind the Label's Advocacy Lead is responsible for engaging with key stakeholders in campaigns to call for better conditions in the garment industry and pushing our message in the media. They take part in LBL’s outward facing work, delivering lobbying and campaigns, and designing actions to push brands and policy decision makers to improve conditions.

You will join Labour Behind the Label - a small but mighty garment workers' rights campaign, working as part of a global network of unions and worker rights groups on the ground in garment producing countries to improve conditions in fashion supply chains. Our workers' co-op is a flat structure organisation where you get to work alongside a small of team of colleagues to shape campaigns and directly make a difference.

Job description

Campaigns and Policy

• Design and participate in delivery of UK-wide campaigns strategies to call for better rights and conditions in clothing production facilities worldwide, alongside other staff

• Lobby companies and policy decision makers to push for corporate and legislative solutions

• Write policy reports, articles and briefings, and create campaign materials

• Organise seminars and events with brands and policy decision makers on key campaigning issues

• Organise, with team members, demonstrations and online actions for supporters to take to push brands and decision makers on key campaigning issues.

• Participate in international working groups as necessary
   

Communications

• Lead on press work, including representing Labour Behind the Label in the media, writing and sending press releases, logging media coverage and responding to media enquiries where relevant.

• Build LBL’s press list and relationships with journalists

• Write campaigns communications towards supporters, including online supporter mailings and updating the website regularly with new content.
   

Urgent Appeals (1 day)

• Work with the Clean Clothes Campaign and international partners to respond to urgent appeals

• Log ongoing cases, and liaise with partners to ensure effective strategies are built

• Lobby companies, policy decision makers, or relevant institutions about urgent appeals

• Develop and deliver mini campaigns to see resolutions to urgent appeal calls
   

Other Tasks

• Project and budget management

• Work with other staff to identify opportunities for grants and funding, and to report back on outputs and costs to funders as relevant

• Writing and inputting into relevant areas of the website, social media and publications

• Participate in team meetings and undertake organisational management tasks as appropriate

It’s an exciting time to join us. Oakleaf has a proud history of helping people across Surrey who are suffering from mental ill health. The need for good mental health support is growing, as are our funding needs and ambitions. This newly created position of Relationship Fundraising Manager is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative fundraising team as we look to develop major donor fundraising further.

The role will be responsible for overseeing all individual donor relationships, with a focus on major gifts. Position: Relationship Fundraising Manager

Responsible to: Head of Fundraising & Engagement

Location: Guildford, Surrey with hybrid working offered (min 40% office, 60% home as agreed); we will accommodate flexible working patterns wherever possible

Hours: 28-36 hours per week (36 hours is full time; part-time considered for the right applicant)

Salary: £32,000 – £34,000 FTE (dependent upon experience)

1. Manage recruitment, stewardship & retention of individual supporters with a goal of long-term financial support.

• At least three years’ experience in a charity/third sector fundraising position or similar
• Strong interpersonal and networking abilities; adept at building rapport quickly with people from a wide range of backgrounds
• Experience of building and managing a portfolio of both ongoing and new relationships

• Experience of budgeting, forecasting and working towards financial targets

About the role:

The Fundraising Manager will work with local companies and other teams within Thera Trust to generate projects and develop a pipeline of income to support delivery.

• Work closely with stakeholders across all aspects of Thera and externally
• Support leaders in subsidiary companies to consider their fundraising strategies
• Robust knowledge of Compliance with – and enforcement of – fundraising regulation processes
