We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Marketing and Events Coordinator to join our national Partnerships team. The Partnerships team are responsible for the marketing, communication and recruitment of all our programmes nationally, as well as developing our brand, story and sharing our research.
About the Role
As a growing organisation, we’re in an exciting phase of crafting our voice, expanding our reach, and shaping how we connect with teachers, schools, and the wider education sector. An important part of this work is our presence at events at both a national and local level.
The Marketing & Events Coordinator plays a key role in the Partnerships team in organising and delivering various sector events, from exhibiting at conferences for senior school leaders to the graduation events of our teacher trainees. You'll also provide vital support to the Partnerships managers supporting a mix of marketing and communications campaigns designed to help recruit educators to our professional development programmes and highlight the findings from our in-house research function.
This is a hybrid role, and it is anticipated that the postholder will work on campus one day per fortnight. We offer flexible working and would consider part-time hours for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the development and execution of the National Institute of Teaching’s marketing and branding strategies.
- Preparing marketing reports and supporting termly and annual reviews.
- Supporting the creation and management of our marketing and recruitment content.
- Role modelling and supporting best practise use of our internal CRM.
- Supporting internal communication campaigns to effectively distribute key information.
- Leading the project management of partnership events.
- Supported by the PR and Policy Manager, management of the national events strategy including PR event attendance management.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including marketing, content and recruitment, to align project objectives and deliverables.

The role and your key responsibilities
As a Senior Account Manager, your role is to line manage a regional team of Account Managers to maximise partner engagement and ensure we retain sky-high resubscription rates. You will manage your regional team’s objectives and regularly monitor and report on progress towards this.
Alongside managing your team, you’ll work with a cohort of partner schools and colleges, facilitating an environment which identifies and promotes best practice across partners within your region. Using data analysis across schools and colleges within your region, you’ll identify trends and opportunities to further increase the use of Unifrog, maximising engagement and resubscription rates.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Line manage a regional team of Account Managers to achieve their resubscription and engagement goals, delivering weekly check-ins with each team member to review their progress with partners.

Run team meetings with your regional Account Management team to review key engagement strategies, objectives and share best practice.

Meet weekly with the Head of Account Management, reporting on progress with your partners, and the progress of your regional team.

Analyse regional engagement data to spot trends and work closely with the Head of Account Management to devise and implement strategies to improve on any areas of low engagement.

Work with Senior Account Managers, Head of Account Management and other Unifrog colleagues, to design and implement projects and processes across the Account Management team, that help deliver against our organisation’s objectives and mission.

Work with a region of schools and colleges with the responsibility of an Account Manager, providing resources and strategies which maximise staff and student engagement with Unifrog, and identifying and promoting best practice across partner schools.

Deliver targeted training sessions to staff within our partner schools and colleges via workshops and presentations, delivered remotely or in person.

Work closely with your regional Area Manager to improve Unifrog engagement and maintain a sky high resubscription rate.

Role Summary
The Communications and Fundraising Manager is a critical role within the organisation, working collaboratively with colleagues across Together Women to increase awareness of our work, grow our external communications presence, increase digital engagement and increase public fundraising.
This is an exciting and dynamic role which will balance operational delivery of communications and fundraising activity, with a strategic approach to growing the impact of our communications and funds raised via public donations.
We’re looking for a talented and creative communicator, with previous success in the growth of communications engagement and/or fundraising, and experience implementing strategies and working to targets.
You will have experience creating compelling written, visual and verbal content for a range of audiences, and be confident managing digital channels and platforms.
You will be a positive and effective collaborator, who can build relationships internal and externally, with the skill to spot opportunities and make the most of them.
You will also have experience implementing and adhering to key compliance frameworks, such as UK GDPR, PECR and/or Fundraising Code of Practice, and experience of working with databases or CRM systems.
Key Accountabilities
External communications strategy and planning
- Develop and implement Together Women’s communications strategy to increase awareness of our work and advocate for systemic change for women within the criminal justice system.

- Manage our website and social media channels, ensuring content is updated regularly.

Content creation

Public Fundraising
- Develop and implement a new public fundraising strategy, in collaboration with Centre Managers, Directors and our CEO, with an initial target of £200,000 in the first 2 years, and ambition to significantly increase over the long term.
- Build a pipeline of opportunities, develop pitches and secure new supporters and funds, with a particular focus on Corporate, Grant Funders, Philanthropy and Community supporters.
- Increase Gift in Kind donations to support Centre and Central operations
- Develop and deliver donor stewardship strategies, to engage and retain donors long term.
- Ensure robust fundraising compliance, processes and procedures in place, and ensure regular review of this, including processing, recording and thanking donors
- Work closely with our Data and Impact team, to ensure any fundraising data is processed and stored in line with UK GDPR and Data protection principles.
Internal Communications
- Support delivery of our internal communications strategy in collaboration with Directors and Managers.
- Create and maintain all staff communications on SharePoint.
- Create and distribute regular staff updates, quarterly newsletters and staff surveys.
- Support planning and delivery of key staff events, such as our annual staff away day.
PR and media
- Identify media opportunities, and support Centre teams to generate local media coverage, and identify opportunities for national media coverage.
- Ensure robust processes are in place for securing and recording media permissions.
- Draft press releases as required, and create PR templates.
- Conduct media monitoring, and manage our archive of media coverage.
- Ensure clear processes in place for managing emergency media responses.
- Handle day-to-day, communication queries, internally and externally.
General communications support
- Support the HR team to compose job adverts and identify advertising channels to attract a diverse range of candidates.
- Support minute-taking in key meetings.
- Support the management of our main Admin mailbox where necessary.

About the role

Scope of role
As Communications, Marketing, and PR Manager, you will play a key role in raising Toynbee Hall’s profile, ensuring that our charitable work and commercial venue hire operations receive the recognition they deserve. This is a newly created role, designed to lead external communications, oversee PR and brand strategy, and develop impactful marketing campaigns that engage our audiences.

Surgery and anaesthesia have a fundamental and growing impact on global health outcomes. Surgical intervention could address at least 30% of the global burden of disease, and yet the poorest 33% of people receive just 3.5% of all surgery. Post-operative mortality rates 1,000 times higher than in some high-income countries can be found in parts of the world where surgery and anaesthesia have been neglected, and in some countries as many as 90% of anaesthetic departments do not have the equipment to provide a safe anaesthetic for a child.

Purpose of Role
In your role of Communications Officer, you will contribute to the delivery of WFSA’s objectives by helping to implement advocacy and communications strategies.
You will report to the Head of Advocacy & Communications and liaise regularly with the rest of the small staff team in the Secretariat. This is a new role in our Participation Team to help us deliver work that amplifies the voices of people with lived experience to find solutions to homelessness and health inequalities.
