Main Responsibilities of the Job

• To provide support and assistance during journeyspick up and drop of duties at the commencement and end of sessions at our day centres.

Advocacy Service Manager (MAT Cover 1 year) £37-40k dependent on experience Hybrid- Minimum 3 days a week in the office

The Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre (South London) is looking for a skilled, passionate and professional Advocacy Manager.   

As Advocacy Manager (MAT Cover 1 year) for the charity, you will lead the ISVA and Casework department, overseeing its service delivery and ensuring high-quality support for survivors of sexual violence who are thinking about engaging with the criminal justice system, or who are going through the process. You will provide excellent management support for our team of Deputy Managers, ISVAs, Caseworkers and our Advocacy Operations Administrator, and be responsible for recruitment, induction, and training into the department.  

Responsible to the Director of Programmes you will be a key member of the management team at RASASC, working alongside our other frontline survivor services and our training and prevention department.  

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of people management and supporting survivors of sexual violence, with an ability to think creatively about service development and evaluation.

About the role

You will be part of Crisis Skylight Croydon’s exceptional Engagement and Assessment Team, providing a high quality, non-judgemental and safe service to individuals who approach Crisis Croydon including some of the most excluded, vulnerable people in the borough. The Engagement and Assessment Advisors are the first point of contact for a range of enquiries from people who are experiencing homelessness for the first time, individuals with complex and multiple needs, visitors, volunteers, and supporters. You will be providing information about Crisis services, delivering a high-quality triage and assessment service, and offering Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) on local homelessness and other related services. As well as managing a small caseload.
Crisis uses a case management approach, and the successful candidate will be expected to attend case management meetings as well as reflective practice and full team meetings. You will also be expected to work collaboratively with external partners and Crisis Skylight Croydon’s Progression and Learning Teams.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Experience of working with homeless or other vulnerable groups and understanding of the importance of respecting confidentiality, showing empathy and sensitivity, and working in a boundried way.

• Experience of working in a Psychologically Informed Environment and in a way that ensures that members with all levels of need can access the service.

• Customer service experience with a commitment to delivering the highest standard of customer care. 

• Strong interpersonal skills including effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Knowledge of homelessness, housing, and benefits

• Ability to manage a caseload.

• Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook

Our 16+ Older Looked After Young People (OLYP), Care Leavers and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) services delivers specialist 24-hour supported accommodation where young people are supported to acquire the necessary skills in preparation for living independently, safely explore their increased freedom of choice and develop responsibilities associated with adulthood, whilst still having the appropriate level of support from an experienced team.

We adopt a trauma informed and psychologically informed approach to supporting our residents to help them build essential life skills, identify their goals and support residents into independent accommodation. We have a dedicated team of Support Workers, Night Workers and additional Bank Workers who provide support, guidance, and signposting around areas such as housing, budgeting, living skills, jobs and relationship building.

We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our Cook Road, Horsham team, who will hold a caseload of residents and meet with them weekly to build a support plan. Main areas of responsibilities are:

Housing

• Coach young people to manage their occupancy agreement and adhere to house rules, in preparation for independent living. 
• Promote a credit culture, encouraging young people to keep up to date with all payments for rent.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing and welfare benefits for young people and be well-informed on significant changes to housing law.
• Deal effectively with non-compliance issues, such as non-payment of rent or damage to room, using restorative practices and working collaboratively with the rest of the team.

Coaching and Engagement

• Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives.
• Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community. 
• Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries.
• Maintain client records on In-Form (client database) detailing the young person’s journey in relation to their strengths and needs, any risks, and any outcomes (to monitor service performance). 

General 

• Work as part of a team, on a rota shift pattern, ensuring young people at the service have non-judgemental, objective, and supportive staff during the day/evening, along with taking responsibility for personal safety during periods of lone working
• Contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations.
• Participate in relevant continuing professional development and utilise Reflective Practice Supervision as part of leading psychologically informed practice.

• Located at a 24-hour supported housing service in Clapham, we provide high quality self-contained accommodation for 15 women who have experienced homelessness and multiple disadvantage.  The aim of the service is to provide a therapeutic environment in which women feel safe and can flourish, enabling them to move on into independent, permanent accommodation. The accommodation also includes overnight safe spaces.
• In this role, you will provide direct support to all the women, as well as holding a small case load of residents who you will keywork.
• You will work closely with support workers and the in-house psychologist. You will model person-led, psychological, gender, and culturally informed support, will be skilled at building trust and you will be a great team player.
• You will undertake 8-hour shifts, normally Monday to Friday but with flexibility for weekend working, covering the hours 8am to 8pm. Please be aware that the building has several floors and no lifts.

This is an ideal post for someone with experience and interest in bereavement work, looking to join a forward thinking, new service. This is also a great chance to be working alongside the Healthcare & Education Department within HMP Bronzefield and be part of a prison services team in Advance.

Using a trauma informed approached, the Loss & Bereavement Specialist will conduct a person-centred assessment to understand the extent of the client’s emotional needs and the impact of loss due to imprisonment or contact with the criminal justice system whilst also identifying practical and specialist needs. They will work with women to develop a support plan, ensuring they are equipped with information and knowledge about how to navigate possible changes in circumstances related to her children’s care and offer crisis intervention and support during acute phases of loss/bereavement.

The Loss & Bereavement Specialist Worker will liaise with the Prison Healthcare team, OMU, visits team and the Family Support Officer to facilitate interactions between women and their children/family members, particularly considering support is in place after visits and that the women’s emotional needs are met in custody and community via our Women’s centres.

The Specialist Worker will create a link between prison and the community, helping women to navigate support services and to positively re-integrate into their community upon release. The role will combine a casework- based approach, along with a signposting and advice service for the women. They will be based in the community and will provide a drop-in service in HMP Bronzefield to support women who are close to release.

A car may be desirable for this role, though not essential

About You:

To be successful as the Loss & Bereavement Specialist Worker you will need the below experience and skills:

Experience of working with bereaved individuals and providing grief counselling including knowledge of various therapeutic modalities relevant to grief counselling

Comprehensive understanding of the grieving process and experience of working with bereaved and loss as well as knowledge of traumatic and complex grief/loss.

An understanding of violence against women and girls and its links to women in the criminal justice system.

Proven ability and experience as a caseworker delivering trauma responsive interventions which support resettlement and rehabilitation of vulnerable people in the criminal justice system whether in the community or in prisons

Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of managing a caseload including maintaining and updating records, remaining focused on action plan goals, and keeping to deadlines

• experience of casework, building medium- to long-term professional relationships with family members
• excellent communication skills including a high level of empathy

You will be responsible for delivering a range of services to provide support to people bereaved (and affected) by someone else’s harmful use of alcohol, drugs or gambling. Through both individual and group support, you will offer a compassionate and understanding presence, helping people navigate grief and loss in a safe and supportive environment.

Our service delivery takes place via several methods, including taking calls on our telephone Helpline, responding to emails through our email service and delivering the 5-Step Method intervention to individuals, couples and groups and facilitating group support via an online platform.

Working patterns are flexible to allow our services to run from 9am and 9pm 7 days a week. You may be expected to work on a rota basis, covering shifts during this period.

We would hope to be able to offer more hours per week in time when funding allows it.

You will need to be confident in your ability to provide support via a variety of remote and digital platforms, being able to respond to immediate requests for support. You will be an active and involved member of our team and contribute to all aspects of our work to help us achieve our strategic goals and work towards achieving our vision.

Responsibilities:

• Offer empathetic and non-judgmental emotional support to those affected by the bereavement of a loved one due to addiction (via a Helpline and adapted 5-Step Method).
• Provide information, literature, and resources to help individuals and groups manage grief and cope with their situations.
• Facilitate or co-facilitate bereavement support group meetings, creating a safe space for participants to share their experiences and provide mutual support.
• Respond to inquiries and offer structured emotional support through helplines or support groups, following guidelines and safeguarding practices.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with GDPR and the charity’s policies.
• Ensure safeguarding concerns are addressed promptly and signpost individuals to additional services where appropriate.

You will provide capacity-building in the form of advice, advocacy, support, and briefings across the London boroughs to statutory agencies and community organizations around the needs of Eastern European domestic abuse survivors, to embed best practice across our communities. 

It is desirable for candidates to be proficient in one or more Eastern European languages.

You will have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to women as well as up-to-date knowledge of legislation relating to survivors of gender-based violence. You will have excellent casework skills, good written and verbal communication skills, clear professional boundaries and be a proactive team player. All candidates must demonstrate a commitment to the feminist values of empowerment and equality which underpin all of our work. 

The post holder will provide a high-quality personal welfare support service to Eastern European survivors of domestic abuse and other forms of violence and abuse and their children. The post holder will empower Eastern European survivors by providing them with emotional and practical support, including support to access safe accommodation.

Crawley Foyer provides 24-hour supported housing services offering medium levels of housing-related support for young people aged 16-25 with 38 bedspaces and shared communal facilities. We adopt a trauma informed and psychologically informed approach to supporting our residents to help them build essential life skills, identify their goals and work towards aspirations so that they can move on to enjoy fully independent futures. We have a dedicated team of Support Workers, Night Workers and additional Bank Workers who provide support, guidance, and signposting around areas such as housing, budgeting, living skills, jobs, relationship building and wellbeing. Situated in the centre of Crawley (with excellent public transport), the service has strong links with and contributes to the local community.

We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our Crawley Foyer team, who will hold a caseload of residents and meet with them weekly to build a support plan. Main areas of responsibilities are:

Housing

• Coach young people to manage their occupancy agreement and adhere to house rules, in preparation for independent living. 
• Promote a credit culture, encouraging young people to keep up to date with all payments for rent.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing and welfare benefits for young people and be well-informed on significant changes to housing law.
• Deal effectively with non-compliance issues, such as non-payment of rent or damage to room, using restorative practices and working collaboratively with the rest of the team.

Coaching and Engagement

• Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives.
• Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community. 
• Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries.
• Maintain client records on In-Form (client database) detailing the young person’s journey in relation to their strengths and needs, any risks, and any outcomes (to monitor service performance). 

General 

• Work as part of a team, on a rota shift pattern, ensuring young people at the service have non-judgemental, objective, and supportive staff during the day/evening, along with taking responsibility for personal safety during periods of lone working
• Contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations.
• Participate in relevant continuing professional development and utilise Reflective Practice Supervision as part of leading psychologically informed practice.

About the role

We are looking for Support Workers (known internally as Project Workers) to join the growing teams across The Hammersmith and Fulham Supported Accommodation Housing Pathway, particularly in our services for people with complex support needs.

In these roles, you will be supporting our clients on their road to recovery in a psychologically informed environment; aiding clients to gain necessary skills to move on from our services and into suitable accommodation. • Provide practical and personal support to clients in an approachable, caring and person centred way.

• Complete administrative records relating to client work, housing management and health and safety.
• Coordinate with external services relating to substance use, mental health, physical health, domestic violence and more, to provide a multiagency approach to clients’ support.
• Work on a weekly shift rota including early and late shifts, weekends and bank holidays.
