The Role

The Wardrobe is a charity shop with a difference – we have a free section, we promote looking after our clothes, swapping, mending, upcycling and more, to reduce as much textile waste as possible, and encourage our community to embrace sustainable fashion. We also run a busy programme of social groups, workshops and events to show people all the benefits of upskilling ourselves. Funds raised at charity shop helps to fund all our projects, so it is a vital part of our organisation.
You will:
- Managing and improving the day-to-day operations and income generation of the shop
- Using excellent time-management, delegation and problem-solving skills to achieve targets
- Using and promoting excellent customer service to encourage repeat and new customers
- Line Management and supporting The Wardrobe staff team
- Planning, running and supporting events
- Volunteer coordination, recruitment, training and support
- Monitoring of stock; sorting, storage and restocking
- Sales, cash handling and budget keeping
- Visual merchandising and ensuring the shop is fresh and appealing
- Ensuring the shop/building is kept clean, tidy and safe for our customers and volunteers
- Data Monitoring to ensure we are working towards our funded goals
- Assisting the Managing Director with funder reports and budgets in relation to the shop
- Social media campaigns to further drive sales and environmental/social goals, and promotion of all projects
About You
Essential
- Experience in management of a charity or retail shop – to include visual merchandising and stock control
- Experience in planning and running events
- Able to learn quickly and adapt to the changing needs of a growing organisation
- A passion for people – being able to engage, motivate and inspire others, in a non-judgemental, kind and supportive way
- Experience in both leading a small team and being an excellent team player
- Proficient in ICT including Microsoft Office
- Experience in managing budgets
- Experience in data monitoring and report writing
- Excellent organisational, problem solving and communication skills
- Able to promote the work of community-based projects through both online and offline campaigns
- Experience both writing and staying up to date with Policies & Procedures for health and safety and data protection
- A keen interest in climate, environmental and social issues that affect our community
Desirable
- A UK driving license
- An understanding of the projects and ethos of the charities mission
- An understanding of working in a charitable organisation/social enterprise
- Skills in repairing of household items/clothes

About the Role
As Development Executive you will support the work of the Development Team with a particular focus on donor stewardship. Your primary responsibility will be to create and deliver an engaging stewardship programme to support our House of Architecture campaign. This is a multifaceted, fast paced, and exciting role where you will join our team in Derby to lead on the delivery and development of high-quality refuge and outreach services for survivors of domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes.
The post holder will provide line management and high-quality support to the direct reports in line with Refuge’s policies and procedures. This will include providing supervision on complex and high-risk cases, overseeing operational emergencies, and ensuring high standards of casework. The Service Manager will lead on the delivery of the multiagency aspect of work, working jointly with the Refuge teams and wider stakeholders to deliver best services to the survivors.
Candidates must have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to vulnerable people, managing, and motivating staff, managing casework as well as working within multiagency setting. In addition, you must have an excellent knowledge of domestic abuse and other gender-based violence and its impact on survivors. You will have knowledge of relevant Criminal and Civil law legislation, as well as Housing and Health and Safety legislation.
As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

The Health and Wellbeing Team are a passionate group of health professionals who empower people to make lasting changes to their health and wellbeing and improve their quality of life. We put the person at the centre of everything we do, building innovative initiatives that tackle barriers to improving health. We are experts at reducing health inequalities, real or perceived, and creating lasting changes.
You will be responsible for leading and developing Enable Health & Wellbeing's Personalised Care workstreams, including the PCN service, Health Coaches, Community Health & Wellbeing Workers, and Wandsworth Council’s Front Door Service. Additionally, you will assist the Deputy Head of Health and Wellbeing in overseeing and managing the Health and Wellbeing department.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Use excellent leadership skills to deliver high-quality services.
- Seek opportunities for future growth of the personalised care service and wider H&W department.
- Develop and lead partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the personalised care service, providing regular reports.
- Responsible for the personalised care service’s financial performance, monitoring income and expenditure and reporting to Deputy Head of Health and Wellbeing and funders as requested.
- Successfully deliver and develop an enhanced model of social prescribing and personalised care, managing all aspects of this service.
- Develop partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders including Clinical Directors, South West London ICB, Wandsworth Council, and VCS Leaders.
- Responsible for ensuring the safe and effective delivery of assessments for clients and patients referred to the service.
- Manage the social prescribing grant fund and micro-commissioning pot, distributing funds in line with Enable guidelines and any contract specifications.
- Ensure referral systems are in place and appropriate and work with providers to develop tools to meet our needs.
- Take a strategic approach to service growth and improvement considering resources available and the needs of the organisation.
- Be an advocate for social prescribing and personalised care with partners and stakeholders. Support regional and national policy and strategy developments.
- Network with other personalised care managers, learning and sharing best practice to develop and improve our service.
- Develop, plan and implement programmes to meet the identified needs of the community in line with local, regional, and national health and wellbeing policies/strategies.
- Line management and development of staff within the service.
- Ensure staffing structures are appropriate for the needs of the service and within budgets available.
- Recruit and support staff, professionals, and volunteers as appropriate to support the delivery of the personalised care work programme, including supporting them in their professional development as appropriate.
- Manage portfolio of contracts and work programmes ensuring they reach their targets, are appropriately staffed, complete all reports, financial monitoring and all third-party agreements are in place and compliant.
- Identify and realise opportunities for developments within personalised care, including expanding geographic reach, adding additional services, developing specialist services or broadening target groups.
- Identify and apply for alternative funding sources to further the work programme of personalised care service.
- Work proactively as part of the Health and Wellbeing Management team to develop and improve the department. This is likely to include service planning, support with tenders and bids, staff development initiatives, and other related areas.
- Manage the services financial performance.
- Monitor and document income and expenditure according to Enable policy and procedure.
- Develop appropriate budgets for new developments with Deputy Head of Health and Wellbeing.
- Ensure programme budgets are monitored in line with requirements of funders.
- Manage project budgets in a manner that supports the wider department and organisational financial objectives.
- Produce reports on the personalised care service, using both qualitative and quantitative statistical information as required. Consider further opportunities for sharing data and reports.
- Responsible for developing/sourcing systems to monitor performance ensuring the achievement of specified quality standards and performance measures.
- Working with the Marketing and Communication Department prepare and deliver strategies and plans for programmes that encompass a variety of modes including; press releases, social media, the website and attending community events.
Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge & awareness of relevant national, regional and local policies and initiatives within health, physical activity & public health.
- In depth knowledge of personalised care, social prescribing, and health coaching including different models of delivery.
- Significant experience of working in health, social care or related environments, including experience of working with primary care, and experience within a social prescribing programme.
- Experience of working in a leadership role, contributing to strategic developments within a programme, organisation, or project.
- Experience and successful track records of planning and delivering growth and development of projects.
- Experience managing contracts and working with funders to negotiate contract specifications.

As Director of Services and Grants, you will be responsible for ensuring that our multi-channel services and grants programme serve and improve the lives of older people, reach those who are most likely to be in poverty, and have the maximum impact. We’re looking for a Brand Communications Manager (Fixed Term) to join our team
Salary: Circa £40,000
Base: Central Edinburgh/hybrid
Hours: Full time and fixed term – Start date ASAP, approximate end date will be June 2026. Working 35 hours a week over core working hours of 10am - 3pm, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break. The office is open 8am – 6pm daily and our hybrid working policy requires all full-time employees to work at least two days a week in the Edinburgh office.

Purpose of the role
The purpose of this role is to increase the fundraising capability of The Vitiligo Society and secure the income we need to deliver our support to those affected by vitiligo. It is part of our new fundraising strategy.
Reporting to the Charity Director you will take the lead on establishing a fundraising programme. You will also support our community and membership fundraising, recruiting and supporting volunteer fundraisers and helping to improve and maintain our membership & donation processes.

Your Experience

Key responsibilities
Fundraising from Trusts and Foundations
Leading on applications to trusts and foundations with input from the Charity Director and delivery teams as needed, incl:

Writing and submitting high quality applications to trusts and foundations that reflect The Vitiligo Society and our members' stories.

Researching potential charitable trusts and foundations to approach for funding.

Build and maintain positive relationships with key personnel in relevant funding organisations.

Establishing and maintaining a funders database within our existing CRM system.
Community Fundraising

Assisting with improving the processes for donations from individuals.

Working in cooperation with the staff, trustees and volunteers to develop and deliver up to 3 fundraising campaigns per year (a minimum of 1).

Recruiting and supporting community volunteers to undertake fundraising activities.
Other Fundraising

Working with the Charity Director to develop the organisation’s Trusts and Community fundraising strategy.

Assist with the development of a corporate fundraising strategy as appropriate.

Keeping up to date with best practice in fundraising and fundraising trends.
People Management

Oversee the engagement of volunteer fundraisers, supporting them to undertake community fundraising activities and sharing their stories to inspire others.
