About the role

This role will lead the involvement of people with lived experience of cancer in key projects and decision-making within Macmillan. As a Participation Manager, you will lead cross-organisational business partnering to shape and deliver strategic projects that embed meaningful participation across Macmillan's work, aligned with the organisation’s strategic objectives. You will scope and identify opportunities for participation with a focus on understanding the needs of Macmillan teams and people with lived experience of cancer.
You will lead the outcomes-focused design and delivery of projects requiring expertise in participation, ensuring that these projects provide rewarding opportunities for people living with cancer to shape Macmillan’s work and a high quality experience for participants. You will use your excellent understanding of equity by design to ensure that opportunities are inclusive and accessible to people with a wide range of needs and diverse lived experiences.
Working closely with colleagues across the Communities and Participation Team and the wider Communities and System Partnerships division, you will leverage existing lived experience networks and community relationships to drive change with and for people living with cancer through strategic programmes of work. You will join and lead matrix teams to deliver participation programmes involving community partnerships. You will think creatively about how to sustainably embed participation across key areas of the organisation including external affairs, corporate partnerships, campaigns, and governance.
Above all else, you will embody Macmillan’s values by acting with heart, strength, and ambition as you support Macmillan’s journey towards sharing more power with communities and people living with cancer.

We are looking for an exceptional Grants Commissioning Manager (Scotland), with a focus on Faslane. This is a senior management role working as part of the Grants team within the RNRMC at a time when the Charity’s strategy has a real focus on beneficiary need and impact, managing RNRMC commissioned grants in Scotland, ensuring that the funds are awarded in accordance with the Charities Values and Outcomes Framework.
The role will work strategically with The Director of Relationships and Funding to support and deliver the charities funding plans for Scotland and support the Head of Commissioned Grants with all elements of the commissioning cycle including understanding need, designing projects, performance management of delivery and reporting of impact. Working with internal and external stakeholders, the role will involve the oversight and good governance of grants programmes to ensure quality, evidenced outputs, and value for money of projects.
In addition, you will lead and manage the Grants Administrator (Scotland, taking responsibility for actively and proactively supporting them to achieve in their post.

In this role, you will support key partners, including Active Partnerships, National Governing Bodies of Sport, local authorities, and leisure providers to become more effective in their role of enabling more disabled people to be active.

We are looking for an individual with experience of working strategically at a place based and/or locality level within the South West region. The successful candidate will work remotely from home and be based in the South West region. This role will involve travel across the region and occasional travel to our Loughborough and Manchester offices.

About The Role

You will plan and deliver our digital marketing strategy, which involves, but is not limited to:

- Managing the company website and ensuring that content is up to date, including challenge dates and itinerary details
- Writing creative copy including blog content for the website, ensuring content is optimised for search engine results
- Creating and scheduling regular marketing emails to our subscribers and charity and corporate partners using Dotdigital
- Designing and delivering all digital creative media including online challenge brochures, in addition to managing and maintaining the brochure website using WordPress. This requires a basic understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript to maintain functionality
- Creating a range of content using Adobe Creative Suite, including but not limited to content for the GAC website and social media channels in addition to providing design support to other areas of the business
Administrative tasks
- Reporting on KPIs from various marketing campaigns including but not limited to Google Ads, Meta Ads, email sends, search engine optimisation (SEO) and other marketing streams
- Providing regular reports and analysis on website usage and trends using GA4
- Accurately reporting the expenditure of marketing campaigns
- Producing PowerPoint Presentations for information events for charities, participants and corporates
- Recording accurate stock levels of all merchandise including but not limited to cycling jerseys, trekking t-shirts and place orders with our supplier as required
- Contributing towards the design and sales of merchandise via the company’s merchandise website
- Line-managing the Marketing Officer, providing guidance and supporting them in their management of our social media channels
Other tasks
- Developing and suggesting new marketing and client sourcing streams for the business
- Ensuring all correspondence (written and verbal) is to the highest standard
- Alongside Company Directors, implementing any new Marketing procedures that will benefit the business
- Any other duties as and when required under instruction from the Directors.
What we’re looking for:
- Extensive experience in a digital marketing role, including SEO, PPC, social media and email marketing
- Strong knowledge of website analytics tools including GA4 for tracking website performance
- Proven track record in allocating and managing budgets on paid channels, including Google and Meta Ads
- Experience managing WordPress websites, with basic HTML and CSS skills
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite to create image and video content (Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro)
- Strong project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects whilst still meeting deadlines

About the role

About you
We’re looking for an experienced marketing and communications manager who is passionate and enthusiastic about bringing to life the incredible work of our key partners – Asda Tickled Pink and People’s Postcode Lottery.
This is an important role for Breast Cancer Now and one which requires relevant experience in developing, delivering and evaluating integrated, multi-channel marketing and communications strategies. The role provides a great opportunity to work with stakeholders across the charity, and with our partners, to support the creation and delivery of marketing and communications. As such, you’ll possess excellent interpersonal skills and be adept at building and managing positive working relationships with people at all levels. You’ll be dedicated to finding innovative and creative marketing techniques and developing compelling narratives to reach target audiences and will have experience of managing and working beside creative teams, to support the creation and delivery of campaigns. You’ll also be experienced in measuring and evaluating campaigns and reporting back learnings and recommendations.
The successful candidate will be a confident and experienced project manager, able to work flexibly and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience of working on charity corporate partnerships would be preferred.

Additional Information
We ask all members of Age UK's Partnerships and Philanthropy department to work from our London office at least once a week to enable collaboration, skills development and team dynamics (currently Thursdays).
From time to time, we may also require the successful candidate to come into our London office for face-to-face meetings with funders and colleagues at other times in the week: as per the terms of our hybrid contracts we aim to give seven days' notice when this happens.
This role will on occasions require travel outside of London and working outside of normal office hours e.g. for funder events and cultivation.

The Restored Beacon Network is a national network of churches that provide a place of welcome and safety for those who have experienced domestic abuse. The Restored Beacon Network manager will work with the CEO to grow and develop this important network of churches. What will I be doing?
Creating impactful scientific stories by seeking out and distilling complex scientific information into engaging content that can inspire our diverse audiences to support Cancer Research UK's mission.

This includes attending events across the country to deliver fundraising pitches, talks at supporter events, interactive experiences, and training and inspiring fundraising colleagues.
Evaluating the impact that content is having, using this to inform new content and concepts and to improve ways of working.
Developing in-depth knowledge of Cancer Research UK's research portfolio and organisation priorities and keeping up to date with the latest developments. Using this knowledge to shape content ideas to maximise their impact, provide expert media opinion and ensure strategic goals are promoted.
Safeguarding Cancer Research UK's brand and ensuring the accuracy of the charity's science communications. This includes reviewing and editing content such as fundraising content for fundraising and mass marketing audiences.

What skills are we looking for?
Excellent scientific knowledge essential. A higher degree (PhD or MSc) in biomedical or related field, or significant work experience in a scientific environment, desirable.
