About the role
We’re entering an ambitious new phase of growth. This expansion will enable us to deliver our vision – that by 2050, everyone with breast cancer will live and be supported to live well.
This growth phase means we are seeking to make new connections and attract new donors who can make transformative gifts. Gaining new business will be critical.
As our philanthropy manager, you’ll be integral to supporting income growth within our major gifts fundraising programme. This is a great opportunity if you are a talented major gift fundraiser who has comprehensive experience of successfully soliciting donations from high-net-worth individuals.
This is an externally focussed, relationship management role, concentrating on securing and maintaining long term relationships with high-net-worth donors. This will include identifying new opportunities to raise funds from prospective donors who could make significant financial commitments. You’ll then be responsible for engaging, cultivating, and stewarding these relationships.
The role will support a philosophy of proactive relationship building through cultivation and stewardship communications and activities. This will entail maintaining and maximising exiting donor relationships as well as attracting new business from a growing pool of new major supporters. You’ll ensure prospective donors are engaged with appropriate propositions, particularly from our extensive medical research portfolio.
This role will involve working closely with the head of philanthropy and associate director, philanthropy and special events. Developing good working relationships with the prospect researcher, research communications colleagues and other key internal stakeholders will also be vital.

About you
We’re looking for a highly self-motivated, innovative relationship manager who has well-developed understanding and knowledge of philanthropy. You’ll have demonstrable experience of soliciting at least 5 figure gifts from high-net-worth individuals and maintaining those relationships for repeat gifts. You’ll have a track record of meeting challenging income targets as well as experience of being part of high value asks alongside senior colleagues and/or senior volunteers

This is a temporary role to provide senior programme and people management for our delivery team at the British Institute of Human Rights (BIHR). The role is fixed term during our Head of Policy and Programme’s maternity leave.
BIHR is made up of a talented and experienced Delivery Team who are Human Rights Act (HRA) practice specialists. For this post we are looking for an excellent manager, committed to supporting a small, busy, expert team to deliver Human Rights Act (HRA) practice, communications and policy work.
Your operational management and strategic thinking are the primary skills and experience needed. You do not need to be a subject expert in the HRA; that is the job of our Delivery Team. You must however, like all of BIHR’s team, be a champion for our work and bring the skills, knowledge and experience needed to support our team in the planning and delivery of BIHR’s objectives

Working closely with the Team Manager, you will provide support and supervision to a team of dedicated and experienced social workers. In addition, you will carry your own small caseload and deputise for the Team Manager as needed.
You should be a qualified registered social worker, with at least 3 years’ child social care experience including adoption experience. Skilled at undertaking more complex assessments, your own standards of practice will be consistently high, and you will work with the child at the centre of all that you do. With excellent communication skills, you’ll be a confident networker, able to build successful working relationships within your own team, across the service and with external professionals.

Person Specification:
Essential:

- Solid organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

To date the vast majority of all marketing has been done by one person (our CEO) though increasingly we recognise the need for greater focus on a coherent look and feel, for a fresh voice and to respond to increased internal demand. This new role has been created to ensure continued cost and resource efficiency as we grow whilst meeting these needs.
This role encompasses four areas. In all instances this individual will work closely with respective internal teams to ensure a full understanding of the opportunity and any specific requirements. We will also ensure that over time, a comms calendar can be developed that minimises last minute requests and affords the longest planning window for all activity.

- Development and management of creative resources that are used ongoing
- Oversight and development of our wider comms platforms and key messaging

You should be a strong ‘all-rounder’. You will have excellent consumer and B2B copywriting skills, should have a creative mindset and an aptitude for campaign-oriented design (making use of software such as Canva). You should be well organised and able to ensure synergies across our various platforms, campaigns and audiences.
You will need to influence across the charity, should have good interpersonal and collaborative skills and be comfortable in working with individuals across the organisation and externally. You will benefit from very good prioritisation and decision making skills. Due to the broad scope of this role and the nature of our work you should be flexible, able to respond to needs as they arise, manage multiple tasks and manage priorities.
This role will be well supported by all members of the team but will need to support the marketing function end to end. You will need to be comfortable with concept development, taking this forward to final product and then on to production. Many of our marketing requirements rely on digital platforms and so an understanding of this medium and of social media messaging will be key.

Reporting to: Head of Fundraising
Location: Alton, Hampshire (flexible/hybrid working considered with a minimum of two days per week at Head Office)

Salary: £37,500 to £40,000 per annum
This role is responsible for managing and developing the charity’s community fundraising and trade revenues (target of £266,000 in 2024) and building significant engagement with community supporters and fundraisers. You will manage a committed team of two people in the Community and Trade team.
You will be responsible for raising awareness of our community fundraising programme and developing a ‘best-in-class’ stewardship programme that builds new and develops existing relationships with supporters, volunteer groups, organisations and partners to maximise income and raise the charity’s profile. You will also lead on the development and delivery of our 50th anniversary celebrations in 2025.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement a stewardship programme that converts interest into support and maximises fundraised income whilst developing lasting relationships.
- Introduce fundraising opportunities to our existing and potential supporters through a multi-channelled marketing strategy to grow levels of engagement and participation.
- Grow non-monetary donations as part of the community fundraising portfolio of events.
- Support the Head of Fundraising in designing new and developing existing community fundraising opportunities
- Work with the Head of Fundraising to ensure all recording, banking and stewardship processes are up to date and working across the fundraising team, wider charity (finance, data and marketing and communications) and in accordance with current laws and regulations.

Tearfund has created a new role intended to strengthen Tearfund's safeguarding policies, practice and culture within Tearfund and with all our delivery partners globally.
This is an exciting new opportunity for an experienced professional to lead, develop and champion this critical area of our work.
The successful candidate will be up to date on the UK legislative framework, Charity Commission requirements and a good understanding of regional and global standards on safeguarding. The successful candidate will play a strategic role on behalf of Tearfund in developing sector wide best practice. Working directly into the Director of Corporate Partnerships & Fundraising the position will play a pivotal role in leading the strategic partnership delivery and fundraising events function for the Street Child/Liberty Global partnership, for which Liberty Global won 'Business of the Year' in the 2021 Third Sector Business Charity Awards. The role will:
1. Support excellent delivery of existing key pillars of the partnership with Liberty Global (e.g. annual 2-day European 'Big Ride' cycle/run/walk event; and spectacular Autumn London Fundraising Gala - with a combined attendance of 1,200+ & revenues of £2m+).
2. Explore and deliver on new activities and opportunities to further grow the quality and impact of the partnership, involving close collaboration with both internal and external Communications teams.
3. Work closely with our Partnership Development and New Business function to maximise the extraordinary potential of the warm introductions, often at a highly influential level, Liberty provide to their wider corporate community of subsidiaries, partners & vendors – spanning the tech, media, finance/banking, consulting, legal & other professional services spaces.
4. Support and lead on other cross-organisational events as required, including our Spring Gala and Christmas Carol Concert.
This is a phenomenal opportunity demanding a highly professional, strategic thinker and responsive fundraiser with strong relationship-building, and classic 'account management' skills. The role will suit an individual who thrives when working under pressure and with senior stakeholders and has had at least some experience in the delivery of major fundraising events. We give grants to help museums, galleries, historic houses and public arts organisations to acquire objects for their collections, to share them with as many people as possible, and to support research and training for museum professionals. The role
This is an important post for the organisation and as the Qualified Management Accountant you will be responsible for leading the management accounting and financial planning of the charity. The role involves working across the organisation, requiring strong interpersonal skills, to deliver first class management information.
- This is an impactful and broad role, but to give an idea of focus, the core areas of delivery will include:
- Owning month-end processes including complex reconciliations such as membership income
- Produce insightful monthly management accounts, including analysis and commentary
- Lead and prepare quarterly reforecasts
- Provide support and challenge to budget holders
- Lead, with the head of finance, the annual budget process and preparation
- Prepare year-end reconciliations and support with audit
- Be the finance representative on the CRM implementation team (implementation due in 2025) and work closely with the Finance Manager on a potential change in the finance system post the 2025 audit

About the role:
This role is 12 months fixed term, home based, working 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. Travel within England and Wales may be required.

Who we are looking for?
Providing housing management and intensive housing management to customers at risk of homelessness living in self contained accommodation.
Working as part of a team, managing a portfolio of properties and tenancies across a designated area, providing an intensive Housing Management Service to a core group of people.
Someone with a Housing qualification and understanding of the welfare benefits system. Qualified to a minimum GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths.
You need to be approachable and have the ability to build rapport and trusted relationships with customers and outside agencies.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Directly supporting tenants to manage their tenancy, assisting them with housing benefit claims and signposting them to relevant support services and liaising with support services where required.
-Experience of working in a support role using coaching techniques to help customers identify actions and solutions themselves and promoting and maximising independence is essential
.- Working with the Nacro Housing Management Team to ensure the correct tenancies are issued, sign up new tenancies and ensure the service user understands and accepts tenancy obligations
.- Work in partnership with the Housing Management team to ensure we are working within our voids and arrears targets, complying with Tenure Law, and abiding by our Housing policies and procedures
.- Ensure that all the required health & safety checks are undertaken in person or by direct reports, taking any necessary remedial action.
