Who we are

SAT-7: SAT-7 is a strategic international satellite and digital media network, working to see a growing Church in the Middle East and North Africa, confident in Christian faith and witness, serving the community and contributing to the good of society and culture.SAT-7 International is a network of 24/7 Christian television channels broadcasting a creative mix of programmes, communicating God's love in Arabic, Farsi and Turkish. The majority of programmes are made by Middle Easterners in studios in Lebanon, Istanbul and Egypt, ensuring that Christianity is presented in culturally appropriate ways to the wider population and supporting the Christian community in the region.

SAT-7 UK STRATEGY: SAT-7 UK has grown a faithful supporter base across the UK over the last 25 years. However, we recognise the need to better establish who we are and what we do in the hearts and minds of UK Christians. In this next season we are especially committed to raise our profile and deepen the support and active engagement we receive from existing and a new generation of supporters, to increase the impact of our ministry across the MENA region and in the UK.

SAT-7 UK PEOPLE: SAT-7 UK has a team of around 18 staff (including full and part-time, office-based and home workers). Our office is based in Chippenham, Wiltshire. The staff team meets together every day both those in the office and with those online, for 15 minutes to read the Bible and to pray for the MENA region, SAT-7 staff and programmes, our supporters and for each other. We also have a network of volunteers, who represent SAT-7 in their churches and who give presentations to supporters and at local community and regional events.

SAT-7 FAMILY: We are part of the wider SAT-7 international family and regularly connect online with our international office in Cyprus, our ‘studio’ offices in Beirut, Cairo, Istanbul, and London as well as other ‘support’ offices in Europe, the US and Hong Kong. We also get to meet each other at our annual Partnership Gathering, held in one of the main Middle Eastern office locations; an inspiring event for partners, volunteers and staff.

Our culture and values

SAT-7, from its inception, has had a clear statement of faith that underpins its mission and vision in the context of the Middle East, with an approach that helps build unity through diversity. (John 17:21)

SAT-7’s statements of faith are the [1]Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed of 381 and the [2]Lausanne Covenant of 1974. Those who work with SAT-7 UK and the family of SAT-7 entities accept these documents as unifying statements. Churches, institutions and individuals who formally affiliate with SAT-7 (as a Partner, Associate, Council member, etc.) must subscribe to the Nicene Creed, and agree to work together according to the principles and guidelines of the Lausanne Covenant

The values that shape how we make God’s love visible and help us deliver the next season of SAT-7 UK's vision– not just of our viewers across the MENA, but also in the lives of our staff, volunteers, supporters and partners in the UK – is really important. So, we resolve – with God’s help – to be authentic, courageous, creative and servant-hearted.

- intentionally prioritising our supporters, asking for and reflecting on feedback.

- valuing staff and volunteers as individuals and in the time we give to each other.

SAT-7 UK recognises that many people in our society experience discrimination or lack of opportunity for reasons which are not fair. These include race, religion, creed, colour, national and ethnic origin, political beliefs, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability (including mental illness), HIV status, marital status, responsibility for dependants, appearance, geographical area, social class, income level or criminal record.
