We’re looking for an exemplary relationship and people manager with strong leadership skills to equip and support churches to deliver the Spear Programme in their local community. The role will be overseeing our centres in the North of England. 

The important stuff 

Salary: from £30,000 dependent on experience

Hours: 5 days per week (4 days considered), 9.30am - 5.30pm with occasional evening work for events such as our Spear Celebrations

Location: Home based role, with regular travel in the North and North-East of England. Fortnightly travel to our London office required (cost covered).

Key Responsibilities

Support and Equip Church Partners
 

• Work with the wider Church Partnerships Team to meet key strategic goals to build social transformation across the church in the UK
• Manage working relationships with a caseload of partner churches to ensure programme delivery flourishes, that the church has ongoing support and feels connected to Resurgo, and has a vision for and feels ownership of the Spear programme in their community
• Liaise with church partners regarding any challenges they’re facing, providing strategic support and connecting them to the wider Resurgo team for further assistance around key challenges

Line Management, Team Training and Development of Spear Centre staff

• Support with the recruitment and induction of new Spear coaches, and manage Spear Centre Managers through regular 1-1s and helping them troubleshoot challenges
• Performance management of the Spear centres run in partnership with your caseload of churches through regular reviews, informal and structured feedback, session observations and reporting on KPIs
• Work with the Impact team to identify training needs, then design and run training initiatives to meet these needs, including all-team training days, role-specific training streams, and volunteer training

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive press officer to help raise the profile of World Horse Welfare and promote our charity to external audiences.  This role would suit a person with experience as a reporter on a news desk or in media relations who is looking for a PR role within the charity sector.

You will support the Head of Communications in managing the charity’s news flow and media relations, achieving accurate and favourable mentions across specialist, regional, national and international media.

We are seeking a passionate, innovative and committed Wellbeing Coordinator to lead the development and implementation of a new wellbeing service designed specifically for refugees and asylum seekers in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) and other parts of Dorset. About this role

The Global Account Manager position will drive the GSK/Amref Health Africa strategic partnership. You will play an integral role in the management of GSK-funded programmes and projects, ensuring timely delivery, effective monitoring, and excellent stewardship of the GSK account. Eligibility

Purpose of the role

The purpose of the Senior Committed Supporter Steward (Mid Value Lead) is to retain and develop the committed warm cash and committed regular (direct debit) supporters to increase their engagement and income.

The role is responsible for committed individual supporters, which involves;

• Managing a specific pool of mid value supporters and the dedicated budget for strategy development, appeals and stewardship of this pool.
• Managing the warm program for our regular giving (direct debit) donors, including maintaining a program of engaging stewardship materials for our new regular giving product, to increase commitment and reduce attrition.

Brooke has a major donor pool managed by our Philanthropy and Partnerships team, therefore the Senior Committed Supporter Steward works closely with them, to agree effective processes to identify mid value supporters with potential to move to the major donor team pool, or back down to mid value as required.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for a passionate individual with expertise in supporter engagement, particularly for regular giving and mid-value donors. The ideal candidate will be proactive, results-driven, and skilled in developing insight-led strategies. Experience in managing multi-channel appeals including print and email is essential, along with the ability to create processes, gather insights, and propose budgets for strategic success.

Global Campaigns Officer - Health 

Contract type: Permanent (37.5 hours per week), Full time 

UK Hybrid Working: A minimum of 40% of working time is spent face to face, either in London office, or as a result of external engagement or travel for WaterAid. WaterAid is located at Canary Wharf, London and this will be your location and contract base.

*60/40 hybrid working at WaterAid is currently defined as: 60% of an employee’s time in a location of their choice, 40% face to face per week, defined as in the London office, at conferences or at stakeholder meetings or other location as relevant for the proper performance of the duties of the role.

About the Team: You will be joining a friendly and supportive group of campaigners who have big plans for the future of WaterAid’s public campaigning work, and we are excited for you to join us! You will be line managed by the Senior Campaigner on Health. The Global Campaigns Team sits within the wider Global Policy, Advocacy and Campaigns department.

About the Role: As our Global Campaigns Officer, you will be a key part of the team driving forward progress on our women’s health campaign. In this role, you will work with policy, advocacy and communication colleagues across the organisation, including country, regional and global teams, as well as with external grassroots groups and partner organisations.  
 

In particular, you will be responsible for some specific high-profile projects for the women’s health campaign, with the support of the Senior Campaigner. Projects could include coordinating our campaigning presence at a UN summit; working with country staff and women’s groups to produce a series of creative activities to enable women’s voices to be heard across the world; and leading on gathering data, learnings and stories for our monitoring and evaluation work. You will also keep the ‘engine’ of the global campaigns team by ensuring key working group and decision-making meetings are scheduled and internal communications compiled. We’ll welcome your insight and ideas and provide an environment where you can hone and develop your campaigning skills too. 

You’ll also:  

• Be an active member of specific campaign working groups and project teams, adding value by bringing your insights, ideas and solutions. 
• Work alongside a number of country offices to support the delivery of their campaign plans, alongside other colleagues.  
• Build excellent working relationships with country teams, federation member teams and others responsible for delivery of their campaigns.  
• Support the Head of Campaigns and Senior Campaigner by tracking progress and engagement across country offices - documenting this in the campaign project plan.  
• Maintain key tools that support the operation of the campaign, including a contact management system – that tracks engagement with decision makers and key influencers – and the campaign calendar. 
• Provide administrative support relating to WaterAid’s global campaigns, including scheduling key meetings, coordinating feedback processes and taking minutes.  
• Develop communications tools, resources and presentations that will aid the delivery of the campaign, liaising with relevant internal stakeholders.  

Requirements

You will be a self-starter, a great team player, a confident cross-cultural communicator and have strong project management skills.  

To be successful, you’ll need:  

• Past background in campaigning, with an ability to evidence skills in public mobilisation (such as utilising communications, events, stunts, social media & other tactics to get the public behind your campaign).  
• Experience of working on complex multi-stakeholder projects related to public campaigning/ advocacy/influencing. 
• Excellent digital communication skills including social media and working virtually, as well as Microsoft Office (including Teams, Word, Excel and Powerpoint).   
• Strong commitment to working in partnership with others in a collaborative and equitable way.  

Although not essential, we also prefer you to have: 

• Experience working with colleagues in different country contexts.  
• Previous experience working with or leading groups of grassroots or community campaigners  
• Experience producing communications products for public audiences

Purpose
This vital role works alongside the Head of Philanthropy to help build and grow our philanthropic partnerships over the next five years and beyond. As well as building upon current relationships, you will identify, research and cultivate relationships with charitable Trusts and Foundations as well as major donors to raise both restricted and unrestricted income.

Responsibilities and areas of work
This important role will focus primarily on Trust Fundraising but will also encompass Major Donor Fundraising. It will seek to identify new high-level donors, as well to develop existing relationships with our generous supporters. Working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, other team members and external consultants, and in collaboration with our colleagues in the
Programmes Team, the Senior Philanthropy Officer will focus on building our trust portfolio – with a focus on donors giving £5k - £100k per year

1. New business acquisition:
a) Researching new individuals and trusts to build a prospect list for future funders, using our database (Salesforce), available lists and external databases. Assessing the potential for active, lapsed and prospective donors to support CBM and recording accordingly.
b) Recommending tactical next steps for engagement with new individuals and trusts, for approval by the Head of Philanthropy.
2. Stewardship and cultivation of current and active donors:
a) Developing and implementing tailored stewardship plans, so that individuals / trusts are engaged in a bespoke manner, and that application and reporting deadlines are met.
b) Leading on the production and submission of applications, proposals and initial approaches (by post, email and, to a lesser degree, phone) and following up as required.
c) Reporting to donors in a formal or informal way, as appropriate, to ensure they are kept up to date with CBM and project developments                                                                                                                                                               d)Organising, facilitating and attending face-to-face and online meetings with high-level donors/ trusts, including organising dates and venues, and creating Meeting Briefs for all attendees to ensure positive outcomes.

3. Proposal and Report Writing
a) Designing and crafting compelling proposals, reports, project timelines and budgets that meet the bespoke needs of donors whilst meeting the needs of CBM and our Programme delivery colleagues, within agreed deadlines.
b) Working with members of the Programmes Team to ensure the accuracy of proposals /reports, and with members of the Fundraising & Communications Team to ensure consistency of messaging.
c) Working with the Philanthropy & Partnerships Team to develop new projects/ themes/
appeals for potential projects.

4. Other Team Responsibilities:
a) Helping to develop the Annual Forecast Budget for the Team, and providing updates on the pipeline and progress against targets.
b) Ensuring all information, donor activity is recorded and kept up-to-date on our database to fully-inform any approaches / meetings.
c) Providing proof-reading and copy-editing support to colleagues.
d) Monitoring the activity of related organisations and the fundraising sector, identifying changes, predicting trends and making recommendations as necessary.
e) Helping to develop a culture of enthusiasm and success, reflecting the ambitions of CBM, and promoting positive working and innovation.
f) Ensuring that the values of CBM UK are understood by external partners and always reflected in communications.
g) Carrying out any additional duties as required by the Head of Philanthropy and Director of Fundraising, Impact & Communications

The HR Manager is the principal HR point of contact and leads on day to day HR matters, delivering a professional service across the organisation including:

• recruitment and professional development
• all contractual matters and compliance with employment law and GDPR
• monthly payroll processing
• pensions and other employee benefits

The post-holder supports the Chief Operating Officer in HR policy development and the integration of Henry Moore Foundation values and behaviours.

Our successful candidate will be CIPD qualified or have the equivalent level of HR management experience within a similar role, ideally in the cultural or not-for-profit sectors, as well as the following key skills:

• a full understanding of UK employment law, HR functions and best practices
• excellent verbal and written communication skills
• able to prioritise with excellent time management
• approachable, empathetic and able to deal with any employee issues calmly and swiftly
• strong organisational and mathematical skills, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach

Experience in payroll processing is highly desirable, along with knowledge of HR software systems – training will be provided on BrightPay/Connect.

The post is based at Henry Moore Studios & Gardens, 30 miles north of London in rural East Hertfordshire, mid-way between London and Cambridge. On average, one day per month will be spent at the Henry Moore Institute in Leeds. Some homeworking may be considered.
