The Director of Fundraising be responsible for developing and implementing a fundraising strategy. This will include the day-to-day management of the existing fundraising team and championing fundraising at senior management level and with the Board.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5 to 10 years of fundraising experience, including managing a fundraising department.
- Proven track record of achieving a step change in income generation
- Experience of two of the following fundraising methodologies: Grants, Corporate, Community and events, Legacies, High net worth individuals or Commissioning
Evidence of continuous professional development in fundraising together with management experience and/or qualification is essential. As is strong digital skills, with a track record of maximising the use of CRMs and excellent business writing skills.
Must have good internal and external interpersonal skills, be an inspirational leader and capacity to represent Bipolar UK at a senior level.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraising professional to play a pivotal role in delivering change for the 4.3 million children growing up in poverty. You will have a demonstrable track record in securing six figure and multi annual grants primarily from trusts, foundations and/or the National Lottery.

The Fundraising Assistant will be a key member of the fundraising team. Supporting the team to deliver a wider range of fundraising activities including events, challenges and campaigns as well as helping maximise the supporter journey and providing excellent donor care. Main Responsibilities:
- Importing data in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.

Since 2018, Connect: North Korea (CNK) has grown from a small community start-up into an effective and impactful organisation with an annual income of approaching £500,000, mainly through grants from Trusts and Foundations. We now want to develop our individual giving programme to build our unrestricted income and secure our long term growth.
As our new Head of Individual Giving, you will be responsible for growing our income from our individual and corporate base to help us reach more vulnerable members of our community. You will lead on individual fundraising relationships and initiatives, including appeals, fundraising campaigns, and all direct marketing activities and communications. You will position us in our supporters’ minds and encourage them to actively support CNK in 2025 and beyond.

The Merlin Neuro Therapy Centre, located in mid-Cornwall, is a Cornish charity providing a place of support, therapy, information, and community for people living with a long-term neurological condition and/or those who are neurodiverse. We give financial assistance to our beneficiaries in the form of subsidised specialist therapies. Our purpose built, fully accessible Centre, opened in 2009 and offers physiotherapy; exercise classes; Ayres’ Sensory Integration (ASI) therapy (a discipline of Occupational Therapy), and oxygen therapy. The Primrose Hydrotherapy Pool facility, which was built in the grounds, opened in 2019, providing both individual and group hydrotherapy sessions.

The Role
We are looking for a Community Fundraising Officer who has the key skills to help us raise vital income for our charity. You will develop and deliver fundraising initiatives through partnerships with local groups, schools, associations and individuals. This role will also involve delivering fundraising events. Organisation and creativity are essential skills for this role.
Volunteers are at the heart of our charity, and it is essential our community volunteer base is grown and supported to ensure successful community fundraising in Cornwall. Being friendly, approachable and leading by example are key attributes to the success of this role.

The Head of Fundraising is an exciting new role developed for the Society to increase fundraising and develop additional income streams to enhance the sustainability of the Society. They will help deliver the Transformation Plan, an exciting new project for Scotland’s oldest learned antiquarian Society to help deliver the Society’s vision: “Scotland’s past is for everyone to research, share, enjoy and protect, home and abroad”.
The Transformation Plan includes the acquisition and redevelopment of a B-listed building in central Edinburgh to co-create the most inclusive, low-carbon and heritage-rich space to work, visit and participate. This will become a heritage hub for Scotland’s past, helping to bring heritage alive for a wide range of public audiences. This role will provide the necessary vision, leadership, and fundraising skills which will enable the Society to achieve its fundraising targets and enhance its development program.
They will be an effective fundraiser and key contact for grant giving organisations, personal donations and legacies. They will report directly to the Director sharing collective responsibility to deliver the Society’s strategy and vision.
Initially on a 2.5-year fixed term contract, with the possibility of extension subject to funding, the post will work as part of the senior management team and liaise directly with staff, Councillors (trustees), members (known as Fellows) and other organisations and individuals to ensure the successful delivery of their responsibilities.
The post will have the following immediate priorities:
· Helping develop and submit a major stage one Development Phase National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) grant application in collaboration with the Director and others, creating an engaging and successful proposal and case for support (part of an overall c£6m Transformation Plan project)

· Advising members of SMT on the availability of funds and the viability of obtaining funds to support initiatives
· Contribute to leadership decisions on all aspects of policy, development and organisation

Person Specification
The Head of Fundraising will have substantial fundraising and management experience, a talent for building relationships and a proven track record in securing funds from statutory sources, foundations, trusts and major donors. They will be a key contact for grant giving organisations, personal donations and legacies. Further Information
This post is an initial 2.5-year (30 month) full-time contract which will be extendible subject to funding. Development of fundraising for the Transformation Plan will be the immediate priority. A lot of work has already been undertaken by the Society in preparing for an NLHF application as part of this, but the skill and experience of this post will ensure it has the maximum chance of success. This will include liaising with others, including NLHF staff and our consultants, the More Partnership.
The tasks and role will develop in line with the requirements in that application and the implementation of the Transformation Plan and will be reviewed after the submission of the initial NLHF bid.
