This post is offered as fixed term contract for 12 months, or secondment for internal colleagues.
We have an exciting opportunity within the Bristol Street Outreach team as the Target Priority Group (TPG) Coordinator. The TPG is a cohort of clients with the most long-term and repeat periods of rough sleeping. Our belief is that rough sleeping is an intrinsically harmful and dangerous activity both for the individual and for the wider community. Therefore, we take a proactive and assertive approach to supporting people away from this activity. Our aim is to support people to recover from the effects of rough sleeping and move away from a street lifestyle permanently.
In the TPG Coordinator role you will provide focussed case coordination and management of this group, working creatively alongside partner agencies to provide clients with a viable long-term option of accommodation that will allow them to start their recovery from homelessness and journey to independence. You will:
- Oversee the case management of TPG Outreach Workers.
- Hold a small caseload of clients, delivering intensive casework to them.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders including the Local Authority, other homeless services and housing providers.
- Raise the profile and awareness of the TPG to encourage a city-wide, multi-agency response to long-term and repeat rough sleeping.
- Have the opportunity to support the Service Manager in collating information for reporting to demonstrate the themes and issues the team and clients face.

About the role:
- Provide psychotherapy sessions on outreach to female clients
- Flexible approach to meeting vulnerable female clients
- Deliver specialised outreach psychotherapy to female clients in the five boroughs we operate - Hackney, Tower Hamlets, City of London, Newham and Redbridge. A day per borough.
- Work collaboratively with Street Outreach Response Teams and other specialist agencies

About the role
As a SHPS (Single Homeless Prevention Service) Housing Coach you will be working with individuals to prevent or relieve homelessness by sourcing affordable, suitable, and sustainable private rented sector accommodation. You will also help individuals to address any other support needs they may have which are a barrier to achieving their goals and ending their homelessness by linking them with relevant agencies. This role requires skilled delivery of a range of interventions and a passion for working with those who face multiple disadvantages in society. We welcome candidates who can bring enthusiasm to learn, transferrable skills and/or have housing experience.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have transferrable skills and/or housing experience and can demonstrate skills and values in the following areas:
- Supporting people to prevent and relieve homelessness (through assessments, housing people, negotiating with landlords, advice, and support to sustain tenancies)
- Demonstrating a pro-active and solution-focused approach to supporting individuals overcome barriers they are facing around housing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and results focused environment.
- Liaising and negotiating with a range of stakeholders effectively to achieve the best possible outcome for the people you work with (landlords, accommodation providers, local authorities, DWP, etc.).
- Actively contribute to sourcing suitable and affordable accommodation
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and administrative skills to manage a client caseload and own workload.
- You are pro-active and adaptable; uphold the dignity of all individuals you work with and demonstrate a willingness to follow best practice and a clear resolve to end homelessness.

Mobile Caretaker - £25,506 pa
We have an exciting opening for a Mobile Caretaker who will ensure our care and supported housing sites and general need’s locations are regularly maintained to a high standard. You will perform low-level maintenance tasks and will be responsible for purchasing equipment based on service needs, providing receipts for each purchase made within an agreed budget limit.
Key Responsibilities
- Collecting and disposing of rubbish, bulk items, and recycling from bin stores.
- Performing low-level and grounds maintenance tasks such as grass cutting, strimming, and leaf blowing.
- Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance in both properties and communal areas as required.
- Conduct PAT testing on electrical equipment, maintaining a log of tested equipment and updating the Operative Supervisor accordingly.
Due to the nature of the role, you must have a driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.

The National Housing Federation (NHF) is seeking two policy specialists, one to work on decarbonisation and sustainability in the housing sector and one on resident engagement and welfare reform, as well as other high profile policy areas impacting on housing.
The NHF is the voice of housing associations in England. We are the trade body to almost 600 housing associations, who have grown from philanthropic roots to provide 2.6 million homes to around six million people. You can find further information about the NHF on our website.
Policy Officers at the NHF shape our policy work in specific areas, with support from the rest of the policy team and the wider organisation. In this role, you would become the expert in your policy area, drawing on the knowledge and experience of our housing association members and your own skills and expertise.

- The ability to develop a strong understanding of specific policy areas;
- Strong analytical and communication skills.

We are recruiting for a Sanctuary & Housing Independent Gender Violence Advocate (IGVA) who is passionate about supporting women and children who are impacted by domestic violence.
The Sanctuary & Housing IGVA recognises that many survivors will approach Housing at moments of crisis when they are either considering fleeing or have already fled. The sanctuary & housing IGVA will carry a caseload of survivors and their children that require additional support, also will work closely with victims of domestic abuse from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy and support to survivors of domestic abuse at the highest risk and their children.
Where sanctuary is the most appropriate option you will ensure that all survivors who benefit from the installation of target-hardening provisions within their home will be able to access wrap-around support to ensure that, once the installations are in place, they can rebuild their lives and recover from their experiences of domestic abuse.
This post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.

This role will involve working directly with LGBT victims/survivors of domestic abuse and housing needs who are also experiencing other compound needs such as mental health or substance use issues. This will include offering clients a space to talk and think through options, helping them plan what they want to do, and advocating with other services to ensure they have access to the support they need.
You will also be responsible for managing a relationship with key partners and funders from within the violence against women and girls sector. This will involve attending regular partnership meetings, providing updates on service delivery and collaborating on reports to funders. You will also be expected to attend networking events as a representative of their organisation.
You will also act as the single point of contact for other team members with questions about housing support and clients experiencing multiple compound needs. You will provide practice development and advice sessions within the team on this topic.
Your work will focus on needs specifically related to experiences of abuse or violence, including issues such as support with the criminal and civil justice process, advocating for safe accommodation, safety planning and access to other services. You will be empathetic and thoughtful in your approach to understanding your clients’ needs, while remaining boundaried and mindful of self-care. You will work as part of their wider advocacy and support team and alongside mainstream services to ensure the voices and experiences of LGBT survivors are represented at a local and national level.

We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Property Services Inspector (Stock Condition Lead) to join our dedicated team. The main responsibility is to carry out stock condition surveys of the association’s properties as part of an ongoing program.
In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise in housing construction to conduct regular inspections and address any necessary actions to meet the high expectations of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gathering information on the condition of Hightown’s individual properties and buildings to assess their overall state, identify necessary repairs, pinpoint health and safety concerns, and ensure that properties remain fit for purpose while continuously meeting the Decent Homes Standard (DHS).
- Collaborate with the Property Services Co-ordinator to raise orders for necessary repairs identified during inspections, using a list of approved contractors, ensuring that issues are addressed promptly with minimal disruption to residents.
- Reports on stock condition assessments, detailing the volume of issues and any related concerns, as directed by the Senior Surveyor.
- Carry out regular Fire Risk Assessments in communal areas, identifying any issues and initiating necessary actions. Report defects to the appropriate authorities promptly as required.
- Conduct post-inspections of completed work, exercise financial oversight, and ensure invoices are processed and approved for payment in compliance with financial regulations.
