Your Role
Your typical day will begin with a handover from a colleague, ensuring continuity of care. You’ll start with a welfare "check-in" with a customer you’re assisting, followed by updates to their support plans and safety assessments to reflect their evolving needs. You'll also carry out flat or room inspections to identify repairs, health and safety concerns, or fire risks. Later, you might plan a group activity to help customers enhance their independent life skills.
As the face of Peabody, no two days will be alike. You’ll play a vital role in supporting the practical needs and well-being of residents while promoting their recovery and independent living skills. This includes assisting residents in maximising their income, accessing benefits, and budgeting for domestic bills and living expenses. Age UK Mid Mersey are offering a great opportunity to join our professional, innovative and dedicated team to help launch a new lottery funded Maintenance Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (MCST) programme in Mid Mersey’s four boroughs: Halton, Knowsley, St Helens and Warrington.
Maintenance Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (MCST) is a weekly group programme for people living with mild to moderate dementia or cognitive impairment.
Group members take part in meaningful and stimulating activities, proven to help maintain memory and mental functioning. The groups provide a fun, supportive environment where people can build new friendships.
Activities include:
- discussions
- word games
- quizzes
- physical activities
- creative and musical activities.
Cognitive Stimulation is the only non-drug treatment recommended to improve cognition, independence and well-being by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).
Alongside the MCST group sessions the programme will also provide advice, information and facilitated peer support for the carers of groups members.
The MCST Team Leader will lead a small team of MCST group facilitators, Carer Support workers and volunteers.
The Team Leader will plan programmes, provide support and supervision to staff, and ensure compliance with relevant guidelines and standards. They will be responsible for undertaking initial assessment visits with clients in their own homes to ensure the MCST programme is appropriate for them.
Travel across Mid-Mersey is expected so the post holder must have access to their own vehicle and a full clean driving licence.
Full training in MCST will be provided alongside management training and mentoring.

We are looking to recruit a Mental Health Project Worker who will be based at our Cornerstone Day Centre, a community centre for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The project worker will actively promote and support the aims and objectives of the Cornerstone Health Hub and the Cornerstone Homeless Mental Health Project.

About Richmond Borough Mind and the Service:
Richmond Borough Mind (RB Mind) is a mental health charity dedicated to supporting the wellbeing of the local community. Our Peer Support Service in partnership with the NHS South West London and St George’s Trust provides emotional support, guidance, and community connections for unpaid carers supporting loved ones with mental health challenges.
This role is part of the Community Mental Health Transformation Programme (CMHTP), an initiative designed to improve support for those with severe and enduring mental health conditions by integrating care across the NHS, community services, and the voluntary sector.
Role Purpose:
The Carers Senior Peer Support Worker will coordinate and deliver peer support services for unpaid carers across Richmond. ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for a key worker who can:

Job overview
Mindworks is increasingly making user voice and participation more central to everything we do, and a formal strategy is due to be launched in Winter 2024, to build upon the previous work to date and to continue our journey.
To support the exciting launch of this strategy, we are seeking to grow our team responsible for leading its implementation. This role is Mindworks facing, but the role is hosted by Surrey Wellbeing Partnership Charity.
Key responsibilities
-Support the Mindworks User Voice lead with the implementation of the newly launched strategy and action plan, alongside colleagues, young people and families.
-Undertake user voice/feedback insight analysis and recommendations to influence change.
-Provide assistance to our ongoing transformation by providing support to facilitate spaces for children, young people and parents and carers to influence service development decisions, alongside transformation leads.
-Lead on creating content for participation related updates for various internal and external platforms, including feedback loops children, young people and parents and carers.
-Provide support to plan and deliver opportunities for learning and developing participation practice for staff, with Mindworks User Voice lead.
-Connect with the wider Surrey voice and participation landscape to support our evolving joined up approach.
Shortlisting Criteria

This role will be involved in the delivery of an early intervention, facilitated self-help service, for Children and Young People, within several primary care settings across West Kent.

About the role
This is an exciting time to join us as we launch our Early Intervention Service for Children and Young people across West Kent. The successful candidate will be working with Children and Young people aged 11 to 18 delivering a range of prevention and early intervention activities within primary care.
The activities will consist of providing one to one mental health awareness sessions offering facilitated self-help provision to individuals. Based at West Kent Mind’s offices in Sevenoaks but will be working primarily in Tunbridge Wells to start with and as the programme develops, expanding into Sevenoaks and Tonbridge at a later stage.
Key Objectives include but are not limited to:
· To deliver supported and guided self-help to children and young people (CYP) through our Early Intervention Service to improve overall mental wellbeing.
· The promotion of wellbeing, early intervention, and community engagement as core principles guiding the organisation’s activities.
· Support the use and maintenance of office and team related information recording systems (Beacon CRM) to monitor client journeys and service impact.
· Network with other agencies to establish effective and mutually beneficial partnerships and pathways.
Person specification
Who You Are
All previous experience may be paid or voluntary, full, or part-time, in the UK or overseas.
1. You have worked in an office, GP-based setting, school, or other environments supporting Children and Young People.
2. Ideally, you have at least six months’ experience working with Children and Young People or in a mental health setting.
3. You have experience in monitoring and evaluation, delivering services, and achieving outcomes and objectives.
4. You are an excellent team player, capable of working effectively as part of a diverse and dispersed team.
5. You have strong project management skills, consistently delivering results against targets, objectives, and deadlines.
6. You excel at building and managing relationships and facilitating workshops for young people.
7. You possess a sound understanding of the CAMHS framework, common mental health problems e.g. stress anxiety, depression and potential issues that Children/Young Persons may face

Key Responsibilities
- Effectively deliver a facilitated self-help service and drop-in provision across West Kent.
- Manage a caseload of clients (Children and Young People), ensuring effective client contact and communication.
- Collaborate with the CYP Project Lead to oversee the client caseload.
- Meet Service Level Agreement requirements, including data collection and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like attendance and recovery rates.
- Address client issues without bias.
- Support Children and Young People in decision-making and refer them to appropriate sources of help as appropriate and needed.
- Provide up to seven facilitated self-help sessions per client.
- Manage waiting lists for service settings.

Highway House is a charity that has been providing all year round shelter and support services to the homeless for the past 15 years. Our work with the homeless has evolved an adapted from 2009 to date to offer the support most needed at any given time. Highway House received the Faith Recognition Award for providing specialist services by Her Majesty’s Lieutenant at the Royal College of Medicine in November 2017. We have received the best shelter of the year award 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 by the London Prestige Awards.
Summary of role
This post is responsible for ensuring that guests who attend Highway House are in the first instance made welcome. The primary role will be to engage those guests that attend the day centre and guests that are resident in the shelter’s accommodation in developing a pathway of support for them and help them move to the maximum independence they are capable of. Providing baseline and continuing monitoring of their progress will be required, as will working closely with the project manager.
Job Description
· Be responsible for receiving guests 2 days a week at the day centre
· Initial recording of guests details in database system
· Work with guests to identify their needs

The Vulnerable Adults service (VAS) consists of two branches - Lead Worker and Supported Accommodation. These sister services work in close partnership to provide consistent, flexible support across Birmingham 365 days a year from 9AM-9PM.
