Shop from Crisis is expanding! We currently have 16 shops across London, but we are looking to grow our business over the next five years, with a view to a national expansion and the continuation of our presence across London locations. We need people with a vision and appetite to join our dynamic and motivated Retail Team. 

Location: Based in London – working across 8+ stores, with the option of working from home in line with the Crisis’ homeworking policy. 

About the role 

Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for an experienced Retail Area Manager to head up a team of Shop Managers to deliver financial excellence in a supportive and collaborative environment. You will nurture a creative shop environment, one where shop teams seek to maximise income in new and innovative ways both within the shop and through new entrepreneurial channels, such as events and community initiatives. 

At Crisis we currently have two Retail Area Managers managing shops across London, you will work together to achieve budget and financial success, along with supporting the shop teams. With the Head of Retail and Acquisition & Assets manager you will support the expansion of new shops across London and have responsibility for the hiring and induction of new teams to run these shops. You will lead and develop your teams to achieve ambitious sales and training targets, maximising the impact on our mission to end homelessness.

About you 

To be successful in this role, you will have a background in charity and high street retail with experience of leading and motivating a team of Shop Managers across multiple sites. We are looking for someone who is flexible and adaptable in their approach and enjoys working in a dynamic and changing environment.

Emotional Health & Wellbeing Practitioner - Universities across Birminghambased at University of Birmingham and Birmingham City University

The post-holder will work within an innovative mental health team.

Emotional Health and Wellbeing services opening hours supports the needs of the communities in which we work, and therefore there may be elements of unsociable hours - this may include evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. These will always be discussed and agreed

The post holder will support Children, Young People, and Young Adults in our Emotional Health & Wellbeing services based in Birmingham by offering low intensity support under a brief intervention framework.

The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 140 years. We run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We're there for children, every step of the way.

The nature of the service means that service users require intensive support to be provided during out of hours and weekends. The service holds no waiting lists and therefore the ability to build relationships quickly, identify risks, and process further support is vital.

We are looking for a Well Being Practitioner that:

-Has a genuine passion and working knowledge of young people and mental health.

-Able to develop good therapeutic relationships with CYP and families

-Experience of working in settings with young people who have emotional, behavioural and/or mental health concerns.

-Has a background or worked in Health Care, Education, Youth Work or Social work

-Able to provide direct low level therapeutic support that is person centred.

-Able to deliver improved wellbeing for children &young people presenting in crisis.

-a good working knowledge of Mental and Emotional Health Issues that young people face today, including interventions on how to support young people in overcoming these challenges.

Due to the fast paced environment and use of computers for clinical record keeping, you will need to have a good level of IT skills.

Main purpose of Post

The Finance Executive will work as an integral part of the Finance Team, providing a high-quality finance function and supporting fundraising activity with accurate processing of income from a range of sources.

The Finance Executive will support the Head of Finance and Resources with the day-to-day financial management of the charity, including annual budgeting and monthly management accounts.

What you do

Income:

• Ensure all income including cash, cheques and online platforms is processed accurately into the fundraising CRM (Raisers Edge) and accounts package (currently Aqilla).

• Ensure gift and donation income is accurately coded with the correct campaign, appeal and fund.

• Complete the reconciliation of income between the bank

and the fundraising CRM.

• Support the Finance Assistant to ensure all funds are banked in a

timely fashion.

• Liaise with fundraising colleagues to support timely donor care and producing donor gift recognition letters within agreed timescales.

• Coordinate the preparation, claiming and recording of gift aid submissions.

• Raise invoices as required and respond to invoice queries.

• Chase outstanding debtors and ensure payments are received in a timely fashion.

• Take a lead on processing, coordination, and administration of legacy income

Expenditure:

• Ensure that purchase invoices are properly authorised, coded and processed accurately into the accounts package.

• Ensure company credit card expenditure is reconciled and processed into the accounts package accurately.

• Assist staff with expenses queries and ensure expense claims are processed in a timely manner.

• Prepare payment runs for approval and upload to banking system

• Ensure creditor accounts are reconciled with payments matched against invoices.

• Respond to purchase and invoice queries as required

• Set up supplier accounts as required

• Work with the Grant Officer to ensure all grant commitments are processed and reflected in creditors

Bank and cash:

• Reconcile all bank accounts at the month end, including online donation platforms (e.g. Just Giving, PayPal, etc)

• Process all non-income from the fundraising/donor package in a timely manner

• Process all non-creditor payments in a timely manner

• Respond to banking queries

• Support with management of Bank Mandates

• Support the Head of Finance with management of investments

Month end:

• Support the Head of Finance in the production of the month end accounts pack

• Support the Head of Finance in the production of the year-end accounts and audit

• Support the Head of Finance in the production of the annual budgets

• Manage the monthly accruals and prepayments process

• Update the grants spreadsheet with expenditure during the month.

 Budget:

• Work with the Head of Finance to review budget lines on a monthly basis, identifying any variances, in preparation for monthly meetings with Budget Holders to review expenditure

Events:

• The finance team are involved in major fundraising events, and you will be required to work ad hoc evening and weekends to support the finance function.  This will include processing donations, including cash.

General:

• Deal with ad hoc tasks as and when they arise

Barnsley CVS are looking to expand their Community Accountancy team. We are seeking highly qualified and experienced individuals with a great attention to detail.

This role reports to the Head of Community Accountancy and will provide a range of finance services to support Voluntary, Community and social enterprise organisations such as bookkeeping, year end accounts services, maintaining financial records using QuickBooks accounting software, bank reconciliation and producing management reports/information as required.

JOB SUMMARY

The Trusts Manager will be a driven individual with a background in securing five-, six-, and seven-figure gifts from charitable funders, corporate organisations, and/or Major Donors. Your primary responsibility will be to manage a diverse pool of Trusts and Foundations, both existing and prospective, to maximise philanthropic support across the RUH.

In this role, you will be pivotal in our Development Team, directly reporting to the Head of Development. Here, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the UK's most prominent Trusts and Foundations. Your objective will be to achieve targets by proactively identifying and cultivating relationships with Trusts and Foundations and writing compelling grant applications for our key projects (medical research, patient and staff support, capital campaigns, medical equipment, and 'the area of greatest need.'

The ideal candidate will be adept at nurturing lasting relationships with funders, working towards a team income target of over £1.5m. You will also be a confident stakeholder manager, working closely with clinicians, researchers, and senior leaders to identify some of the key RUH funding areas that can deliver impact.

Central to your success will be your ability to articulate compelling cases for support verbally and in writing, translating complex information into persuasive appeals and grant applications. You will have a proven track record of demonstrating initiative in seizing fundraising opportunities and championing the endeavours of Trusts and Foundations. Your role will secure significant contributions for transformative projects and cultivate a culture of donor-centric giving, fostering long-term partnerships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Development- The post holder will manage Trust and Foundation income and secure an annual income of £500k+ towards the total Development team target of £1.5m. The Trusts Manager will manage a portfolio of major gifts prospects and will be responsible for the cultivation and stewardship of, five, six and seven figures gifts.
• Management—Responsible for managing an established prospect pool and identifying new donors while effectively reporting against income projections. Demonstrate potential for line management capabilities, with the opportunity for supervisory responsibilities as the role grows.
• Governance and Compliance- ensuring philanthropic giving complies with all fundraising regulatory and legal obligations, including GDPR, The Fundraising Regulator and the Code of Fundraising Practice.
• Financial & Risk Management—Working with the Head of Development, the post holder is responsible for managing Trust and Foundation income and expenditures to meet an individual target.
• External Relations and Communications- working with the Head of Development and the Marketing & Communications Team, supporting corporate communications, public relations, and brand consistency in relation to Trust and Foundation giving. 

The Digital Product Manager will play a crucial role in delivering an ambitious five-year plan, which will see us embracing digital as a channel for communicating our impact, building supporter connections and driving customer journeys and value exchange. We’re looking for a strategic thinker passionate about all things digital who can help us embed cutting-edge technologies to meet our strategic goals, including a commitment to being a charity that is inclusive by design.

The successful candidate with the Head of Operations and Change to deliver a roadmap that ensures we’re building a digital infrastructure to support our strategic goals. They will work closely with the Executive Leadership to produce a digital ecosystem aligned with our strategy to drive growth in impact and income.

 Website maintenance

• Act as key contact with our website supplier for the technical operation and development of our website,

As a specialist in corporate partnerships, you will report to the Head of Fundraising and contribute to supporting children's and adult social care services.

We’re looking for someone who has;

• An undergraduate degree in a related field or NVQ Level 3 or 4 in related field.
• Demonstrated experience in corporate partnerships and/or fundraising, with a keen interest in cultivating partnerships. 
• Adept at communicating confidently and professionally, both within the organisation and with external parties.
• Proven track record of meeting financial targets within a fundraising or sales context.
• Full clean driving licence with access to a vehicle.

Research Module Leader

To chair the Research Ethics Committee which oversees the process of gaining ethical approval for all Waverley Abbey College (WAC) programmes (MAC, MATCP & MA SF), and process all requests for ethical approval from WAC staff, students, and any external researchers wishing to recruit WAC staff or students.

To ensure that the distinctive character of Waverley Abbey College’s counselling pedagogical frameworks are maintained, in relation to research ethics and validated programme criteria for research.

KEY TASKS

The temporary Research Module Leader and REC Chairperson will oversee the following tasks:

• To be responsible to lead the Research Module for the MAC and MATCP programmes ensuring the successful delivery of its teaching, learning and assessment strategies.

To be responsible for:

• Collaboratively working alongside MAC and MATCP supervisors/ tutors in the planning and implementation of the successful delivery of all facets of the research module, and especially in the supervision and support of research students and research supervisors, as outlined in the module narratives of the validated programmes.
• Ensuring that all research proposals are reviewed by research supervisors/ tutors and meet with the ethical and legal obligations as outlined in the Waverley Abbey College Research Ethics Committee Policy and Procedures and module learning materials, including issues of risk assessment, and rigour of empirical qualitative research.
• Ensuring that supervisors with relevant research and clinical expertise are assigned to supervise topics chosen by students.
• Oversee any student or research supervisory issues that arise in the delivery and completion of the research module.
• Overseeing how supervision enables student progression through the stages of research: i.e. proposals, ethics and risk assessments, analysing data, determining findings, and in the final written production of a dissertation that meets all requirements for successful submission and assessment as per the assessment criteria.

Maintain fair systems for student assessments, including:

• Maintaining standards in marking and grading of research proposals and dissertations
• Ensuring supervision/ tutorial support and oversight of students’ personal development

To support, encourage, develop and manage the research supervision/ tutorial team. Responsibilities include:

• Selection of supervisors as required, in consultation with the Academic Dean or University representative
• Line manage and provide oversight of supervisors/ tutors, including team-building and individual feedback

Supported by the Academic Dean, to be responsible for the welfare, spiritual well-being and psychological safety of the research students, within the parameters of the research module. Responsibilities include:

• Offering pastoral support, dealing with student complaints and grievances, and handling any cases of academic misconduct, in line with Waverley Abbey College policies and procedures

To be responsible for the structure and oversight of the Research Ethics Committee. Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the obligations for ethical research by all WAC students, staff and any external researchers working with WAC staff or students, including the MAC, MATCP, and MA SF.
• Chairing the Research Ethics Committee and agenda setting of meetings.
• Reviewing research proposals in the light of ethical and legal guidelines and best clinical practice with other research supervisors.
• Determining required revisions of proposals in the light of ethical guidelines.
• Making collaborative decisions regarding which research proposals may be given ethical approval and which ones either need revising, adapting, or not undertaking.
• Communicating decisions in writing in a timely manner to students, ensuring that all required changes and conditions are succinctly communicated.
• To review proposals and ethical matters to ensure that changes and conditions have been satisfactorily met.
• Maintaining the integrity and ethos of the Waverley integrative framework and consistency with overall postgraduate research requirements
• Ensure that the Research Ethics Committee (REC) Policy is up to date, and that it is applied effectively by the REC and Waverley students and staff conducting empirical research via the process of reviewing applications for ethical approval.

• To oversee and engage in marking and supervision responsibilities as needed.
• To maintain a personal counselling caseload (e.g., in private practice or at an agency) in accordance with the highest standards required by professional bodies, including having professional indemnity insurance, under regular clinical supervision, and any other requirements in accordance with the context of the practice (e.g., DBS check)
• Attendance at Waverley Abbey College Research Ethics Committee Meetings
• To have BACP/ ACC full membership, or other recognised professional body
• Any other reasonable duties as requested by the post-holder’s line manager.

The Experience Cloud Developer - TrustLaw will help to transform the TrustLaw Members’ Portal – developing features to take it from a simple platform, through which we connect high-impact NGOs and social enterprises with leading law firms and corporate legal teams, to an interactive ecosystem that also offers opportunities for learning, knowledge-sharing, innovation, networking and collaboration. 

The person in this role will design and develop the member-facing features housed in the TrustLaw Members’ Portal, including tools for members to apply, connect with each other, track the progress of their projects, view and engage with learning resources and reports, and easily access pro bono projects and support.

The person in this role will largely work independently to develop features, with some support/input from the Salesforce Administrator (who handles the TRF’s team-facing Salesforce instance) and Head of Design (who will provide design guidance and wireframes, as needed). 

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about using technology to improve a successful, global pro bono legal service that helps NGOs, social enterprises and lawyers drive social change. 

About the Role

As an Experience Cloud Developer at Thomson Reuters Foundation, you will:

• Work with the Head of Programmes, Portal Project Manager, and TrustLaw team to understand priorities and deliver on a road map for refining existing Members’ Portal features and developing new features.

• Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that meet the needs of TrustLaw’s members.

• Lead on all coding, integrations, and development work.

• Leverage out-of-the box Experience Cloud components and develop custom solutions for the TrustLaw Members’ Portal. Advise on how business requirements can be met with either point-and-click configuration or code and customization.

• Write and execute test plans, engage the TrustLaw team in testing, and ensure a high-quality solution is delivered.

• Work with the Head of Design, Head of UX and TrustLaw team to ensure the design, look, and feel of the Members’ Portal align with TRF brand standards and enable a positive user experience.

• Manage feature requests end-to-end from design to prototyping to QA to implementation

• Follow and understand new Experience Cloud product and technical capabilities resulting from product releases and acquisitions.

• Engage with TRF’s Product and Technology team to ensure development aligns with their technical standards and approaches, and that work is properly documented.

• Report to the Head of Technology in the Product and Technology team; have a dotted line to the Portal Project Manager in the TrustLaw team and work exclusively on the TrustLaw Portal project.

For example, the person in this role may focus on the following in their first three to six months:

• Enhance the look, design and functionality of current portal features, which were recently developed to a basic level by an external team via Experience Cloud. 

• Build connection and networking features for members

• Build and/or integrate new pages for TrustLaw members to 1) find upcoming events and 2) find/engage with learning resources, guides, and webinars

• Design and build an engaging impact dashboard for members to see the impact of their projects and refine the project results tracking tools in the portal

• Work with the Project Manager to sketch out the road map for Phase 2 portal development

About You

To be our Experience Cloud Developer, you will likely have:

• Have experience engaging with programmatic teams to translate business requirements into well-architected solutions

• Have experience building and refining community portals or features, ideally in the charity sector

• Be an experienced Salesforce developer with demonstrable skills and experience with Apex, Aura, JavaScript, Flows, Experience Cloud, and declarative Salesforce Lightning.

• Be comfortable with modern software development lifecycle standard methodologies including iterative and incremental development, delivering working software frequently with attention to technical excellence.

• Be familiar with advanced Apex programming concepts including core design patterns, limits and bulk patterns, efficient and reliable trigger handling, asynchronous operations and effective unit testing

• Have experience working on web apps, desktop apps, or mobile apps that require some design and UI work

• Have experience working independently without a large development team

• Have experience building out solutions based on requirements and acceptance criteria set by a business unit

Strategic development and implementation
