The Diocese of London is made up of over 400 parishes, along with numerous new worshipping communities, extensive number of chaplaincies and over 150 schools which are overseen by the London Diocesan Board for Schools. The LDF is the central organisation. This is a pivotal time in terms of shaping the future safeguarding arrangements within the Church of England. Following the final report from the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse regarding the Church of England, the Church nationally is working to create new safeguarding structures which will address past failures and ensure future confidence in safeguarding arrangements and decisions. The Independent Chair will have a key voice in shaping the future and in building a culture of excellence in safeguarding within the diocese
