We have over 2,000 volunteers that engage with us and refer to these individuals as ‘Contributors’. The Contributor Officer will be our Volunteer Lead and will work alongside the Head of HR on the engagement, management and retention of volunteers across the organisation. What you’ll do:

• Develop and update an appropriate and consistent recruitment and selection process for Contributor positions, ensuring it provides flexibility to cater to the differing level of roles across the organisation.
• Work with the Marketing and Digital team to build and maintain a dedicated Contributor section of the website, designed to engage our key audiences and provide easy access to engaging information and content.
• Monitor application rates for key Contributor positions, developing our approach to ensure that the opportunities reach a wide range of members.
• Actively lead the RCR’s approach to engaging with Contributors.
• Conduct regular business partnering meetings with RCR staff who have management responsibility for key Contributors, advising on how to manage, support and engage the group.
• Actively input into the development of the RCR’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and other relevant systems to ensure there is a single point of truth for all Contributor related data and that important information is recorded in an easy to access way.

JOB PURPOSE

• To provide professional and confidential business support to the Group CEO and UK leadership team, ensuring key initiatives are delivered by coordinating internal and external stakeholders.
• To support the leadership team and Group Board of Trustees to efficiently and meticulously perform our governance responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Executive support to the Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO):

• Proactively manage and coordinate the diary of the CEO by prioritising and arranging internal and external meetings, ensuring they are fully prepared for all internal and external engagements.
• Oversee the management of the CEO Outlook mailbox, dealing with incoming emails, categorising and filing these
as appropriate, responding on behalf of the CEO and triaging or delegating to other team members where relevant.
• Organise domestic and international travel arrangements, including liaising with internal and external contacts to arrange
meetings. Ensure that time is prioritised effectively and appropriately with reasonable timings and rest periods.
• Work closely with the CEO to keep them well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately.
• Ensure that papers and briefings are given to the CEO for meetings and that any instructions/directions are obtained prior to the meeting.
• Provide timely and relevant information to support decision making and planning, dealing with people at the most senior level both internally and externally and appropriately representing Railway Children at all times.
• Collate, prepare and disseminate information and data as required by the CEO (for internal and external correspondence,
papers, PowerPoint presentations, reports, and providing appropriate information for meetings and events).
• Undertake desktop research as necessary to support the CEO’s preparation for meetings and presentations.
• Project manage special projects for the CEO when required.
• Monitor and triage relevant social media channels and codraft content with the CEO to increase profile and visibility.
• Ensure all administrative tasks are completed on behalf of the CEO including, but not limited to, expenses and annual leave requests.
• Act with the highest levels of integrity, confidentiality and discretion at all times.

Leadership Team Executive Assistance:
• Coordinate, plan and minute leadership team meetings. Develop agendas and papers and ensure that key discussions and actions are followed up.
• Assist in the organisation of all staff away days including room bookings and catering, agenda organisation and logistical support on the day.
• Assist the Leadership Team in the effective implementation of our annual planning process under the direction of the Group CEO.
• Oversee the management of leadership team diaries and support with national and international travel arrangements.
• Provide administrative support and initiate planning for key strategic meetings, including venue bookings and logistics.
• Support the Group Director of People & Culture in the administration of HR matters in line with GDPR guidance, including recruitment, trustee engagements, DBS checks and employee communications.
• Coordinate Performance Management Review meetings and paperwork on behalf of the leadership team.
• Assist with the administration of procurement processes as required.
• Collate, prepare and disseminate information and data as required by the leadership team. Accurately review, proofread and assist with materials ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Group Board & Governance

• Work closely with the leadership team to ensure that there is appropriate co-ordination of Board, sub-committee and leadership team meetings and an effective flow of information.
• Plan and coordinate Group Board and sub-committee meetings including scheduling dates, organising agendas,
minuting meetings and circulating papers.
• Support the Head of Safeguarding and Quality Assurance with core policy documents, liaising with the leadership team to
review dates and ensure updated policies are scheduled for approval at Group Board and sub-committee meetings.
• Manage production and circulation of Board papers. Liaise with the leadership team to ensure reports are received to
deadlines, providing editorial inputs to ensure reports are of the highest quality before review by the Chief Executive.
• Proof-read and distribute Board minutes, ensuring timely follow up on any actions.
• Assist the Group Director of People and Culture in the recruitment and rotation processes for Group Board members.
• Liaise with our CEO, Trustees and legal partners to undertake the administration of our governance responsibilities.

General duties

• Uphold and work within Railway Children’s policies and procedures.
• Conduct yourself in accordance with the rules of the Child and Adult Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct in your personal and professional life – which includes reporting suspicions of child abuse or any other breach of these policies.
• Actively promote and embody Railway Children’s core values across the organisation.

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a pivotal role for our Alliance, acting as deputy to the Executive Director (ED) and leading on operationalising our strategy to protect children from sexual exploitation and abuse online.

They will work closely with the Executive Director and wider staff team to ensure highly effective internal processes, systems, controls, policies and procedures are in place to enable the impactful delivery of our strategy.

About WeProtect Global Alliance 

The internet was not created with children in mind and can be unsafe for children to explore. Every phone and computer is a potential gateway for offenders seeking to sexually exploit children. Our Alliance generates political commitment and practical approaches to make the digital world safe and positive for children, preventing sexual abuse and long-term harm.   

Our Alliance’s geographical reach is unprecedented: 102 countries are members along with 73 private sector companies, 113 civil society and 10 intergovernmental organisations. This diverse membership is key to our ability to deliver real change. WeProtect Global Alliance is supported by a high-performing secretariat of eleven staff based in the UK and Belgium and is guided by an influential Global Policy Board. 

Job description 

1. Organisational leadership and people management

• Work with the ED and SMT to ensure a values-led and positive organisational culture is reflected throughout ways of working, internal communication, policies and processes, and all team activities.

• Line-manage Senior Management Team (SMT) members, operational roles and other roles as necessary (currently Head of Development, Head of Communications and Engagement, Head of Policy, Advocacy and Research, and Operations Manager).

• Chair weekly SMT meetings.

• Oversee human resources and people management processes, ensuring alignment with best practice in areas including recruitment, induction, performance management, safety, wellbeing, learning and development, and benefits.

• Ensure diversity, inclusion and equity (DEI) considerations are at the forefront of all work and decisions, working alongside our expert DEI Consultant.

• Oversee the bi-annual, in-person team retreat.

• Be a key point of contact for all team members, holding regular meetings across the staff team, to understand team members’ individual perspectives, priorities, ideas and interests.

• Provide wide-ranging advice, recommendations and high-level support to the ED.

• Deputise for the ED, leading the organisation in their absence.

2. Operational management

• Oversee the annual planning process, project management, and ongoing monitoring of the organisational Action Plan.

• Lead on the drafting, regular review, and effective implementation of wide-ranging organisational processes and policies, working with expert advisors, as necessary.

• Oversee effective contract management for partners, suppliers and consultants.

• Work with the Head of Development on proposal development, grant management and reporting, and ensuring ongoing compliance with donor requirements.

• Work with the Operations Manager to oversee functions including IT, information management, and equipment.

​2. Financial oversight

• Work with the Operations Manager (responsible for day-to-day financial management), budget holders, outsourced accountancy provider, external auditors in the UK and The Netherlands, and other financial specialists on areas including:
  • Financial systems, policies and controls
  • Annual budgeting, quarterly reforecasting and monitoring. 
  • Monthly management accounts
  • Annual statutory audits and accounts
  • VAT and tax compliance
  • Banking and payment authorisation
  • Salary benchmarking

• Oversee a strong value for money culture, supported by robust policies.
• Ensure strong anti-fraud policies and procedures are in place and fully implemented.

4. Risk management, governance and compliance

• Oversee organisational risk management, maintaining the Risk Register and ensuring robust controls are in place.
• Lead safeguarding work as the SMT Safeguarding Lead; working alongside the Participation Manager and Board Safeguarding Lead to ensure robust safeguarding policies, processes, training and a strong safeguarding culture, ensuring it is a key consideration throughout all organisational activity and decision-making.
• Lead on legal and regulatory compliance issues, seeking advice from lawyers in the UK, Belgium and The Netherlands, and other experts, as necessary.
• Ensure governance structures and processes are robust and compliant.
• Ensure adequate insurance cover is in place in all jurisdictions.
• Oversee data protection and cyber-security systems, policies and processes, ensuring compliance with best practice and legal obligations.
• Oversee crisis management processes, and work as a key member of any crisis management committees.

5. Stakeholder engagement

• Liaise with the Management Board and Global Policy Board on operational and governance issues, producing reports and presentations as required.
• Maintain strong and effective relationships with a broad range of external stakeholders including Alliance members, partners, consultants, service-providers, donors, lawyers, auditors, regulators, and advisors.
• Represent the Alliance at external events when required.

6. Wider organisational responsibilities

• Commit to the mission and values of WeProtect Global Alliance, putting these at the forefront of all work and actions.

The Events and Fundraising Assistant helps to improve, develop and organise our events, including the London Legal Walk, Great Legal Bake, Great Legal Quiz and many more across London and the South East. They work to maintain contact with our wide network of dedicated supporters, keeping our database up-to-date with contact and event information. They update our website and produce content for printed materials to promote our events programme, and assist with the recruitment and management of volunteers.

GENERAL

The Bridge Project South West delivers the Independent Sexual Violence Advisor Service across Devon and Cornwall for all adults and children who have reported, or are considering reporting sexual assault, rape or sexual abuse. The Bridge Project is a service of TWCC Projects Ltd which is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Women’s Centre Cornwall. The Women’s Centre Cornwall are the lead provider and contract holder for the service which is delivered in partnership with Devon Rape Crisis and Sexual Abuse Services, Intercom Trust, Konnect Communities, The Children’s Society, The Olive Project and West Cornwall Women’s Aid

 PURPOSE

Having commenced the service on 1st October 2024, this is an exciting time to join the service. Working closely with the Head of Services, the post-holder will lead the team of experienced staff to realise the innovative new vision for the service.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that all adults and children accessing The Bridge Project receive a high quality, trauma informed service that meets their needs and supports any engagement with the criminal justice process
• Ensure that the services are accessible to everyone who needs them and tailored to address any barriers to ensure that individual needs are met
• Ensure that all staff receive high quality line management and support with an emphasis on dynamic caseload management and staff wellbeing
• Line management of Team Leaders and other staff as appropriate
• Provide effective Contract Management including responsibility for performance and reporting
• Ensure that all staff understand their role, practice good professional boundaries and work in accordance with Bridge Project expectations, policies and procedures
• Support the team to embrace the partnership model of working and embed a “team around the person” approach
• Support the Head of Services in strengthening the Bridge Project partnership
• Maintain and develop practice guidelines, procedures and guidance documents in line with best practice, emerging practice and changes in law and other statutory guidance
• Lead effective change management across the service to ensure the successful implementation of improvements and innovation
• Lead on the development and coordination of volunteering and lived experience opportunities across the service including the delivery of training and supporting other staff to deliver training
• Provide support for funding bids and other fundraising activities

• Ensure excellent working relationships and communication protocols with the police, Crown Prosecution Service and Courts.
• Working closely with Impact Manager to fully analyse the effectiveness of interventions for people with different protected characteristics in line with our commitment to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDIB).
• To champion Lived Experience voices within the Specialist Support Service and ensure the continued development of comprehensive progression pathways for survivors.
• Ensure that accurate and timely records are maintained by all staff including appropriate case notes, equalities and outcomes monitoring and feedback
• Ensure that safe working practices, including lone working, risk assessments, safeguarding and escalation processes are followed by the whole team and monitored closely by line managers
• Taking an active role in The Women’s Centre Cornwall including attendance at Managers meetings, whole organisation events, reciprocal training, safeguarding and duty cover and representing The Women’s Centre Cornwall alongside the Bridge Project where necessary
• Oversee effective management of any waiting lists and interim support
• Act as a Safeguarding Lead for the servicer
• Completion of internal and external reports including narratives, case studies and data analysis
• Working closely with the CEO and Development Manager to identify and secure additional funding
• To represent the Bridge Project and The Women’s Centre Cornwall at meetings, events and conferences delivering presentations and media interviews as required
• Leading on implementation of agreed annual service development plans within the service including EDIB objectives
• Represent the service at key operational and strategic meetings, locally, regionally and nationally
• Leading effective partnership working including referral pathways and managing sub-contractors and working with lead partners
• Develop and maintain strong and effective working relationships with key external stakeholders
• Ensuring that the service upholds very high standards of confidentiality and is fully compliant with all GDPR requirements

The Content and Campaigns Strategist will be responsible for leading and setting the content approach for marketing campaigns and content projects commissioned by teams from across the organisation. You will work with our Digital Engagement Lead and the wider Digital and Content team to produce plans for a wide variety of content themes and topics including research, campaigns, brand, services and fundraising.

The Content and Campaigns Strategist will collaborate and help to oversee the implementation of content plans, working with editors, designers, media producers, stories and UX specialists to implement these plans to a high standard.

This role will also support our Content and Creative Lead in planning, executing and championing our strategic content approach, ensuring all content that is developed aligns with our overall vision.

Events Assistant

The Events Assistant[CF1]  is a crucial role at the College as you will help and support colleagues in the delivery of events, from administrative assistance in planning the events, to the production of event documentation, branding or collateral, in addition to liaising with events stakeholders, including speakers, programme leads and delegates.  

As Events Assistant, you will provide comprehensive administrative support for online event registration, delegate bookings, delegate communications and associated queries. You will be the first point of contact for event queries, so maintaining a good knowledge of College events and other relevant activities is essential.

Assisting in the research and promotion of opportunities for sponsorship for all events, you will distribute sponsorship packages, confirm sponsorship acquisitions and ensure requirements are fulfilled onsite.
