We are looking for a Senior Legacy & In Memory Manager for an inspiring health charity. Managing a team of two you will lead on the development of medium-term (3 5 years) Legacy and In Memory strategies and the manage the programme.

This role can be London hybrid or UK home working, with occasional team meet ups.

46,000 - 52,000 per year depending on experience plus either 3,000 London Weighting or 450 home allowance per year.

The Role
Develop a legacy marketing strategy to help ensure that legacy influencing is an integral part of the charitys marketing and promotion.
Devise and implement a stewardship programme for legacy prospects, enquirers, pledgers and families.
Advise and make recommendations to the Head of Individual Giving and Legacy on re-forecasting income and setting annual budgets.
Develop, implement, and manage annual legacy marketing programme plans to help deliver the legacy marketing strategy.
Lead on developing a legacy promotion culture internally by providing training and support to Trust staff and branches.
Line manage a team of two.

The Candidate
Substantial experience of Legacy and In Memory fundraising at a managerial level.
Demonstrable extensive experience of legacy marketing.
Proven track record of achieving targets and managing budgets.
Experience of working closely with Legacy Administrators to maximise income received from gifts in wills.
Experience of in-memory and tribute funds.

About you

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Marketing and Communications Manager to be responsible for the marketing and external communication of all RHN services and charitable activity. This is a specialist marketing and communications role and your primary focus will be on developing and running marketing campaigns, producing promotional materials and identifying opportunities for growth. Specifically, the RHN wishes to increase growth and income through marketing to commissioners, referrers, families, clinical networks, partners, funders and all external media to maximise the impact of targeted marketing campaigns. You will help take ANT to our next level of impact by leveraging volunteers to deliver tree planting and tree care activities across our woodland sites. Your role will support volunteer activities across Avon Needs Trees, but with a focus on our two largest sites: Great Avon Wood and Lower Chew Forest.

You will join a fast-growing organisation that started in 2019 with four volunteers and has grown to a staff team of nineteen (with more recruitment in the pipeline for 2024), over 1,000 volunteers and ownership of nearly 600 acres of land that will grow woodlands of over 160,000 trees.

Your legacy will be a tangible impact on slowing down climate change, helping nature recover and creating social impact by developing funding relationships that support our woodland projects and organisational development more broadly.

Main responsibilities

• Lead on the coordination of our volunteer leaders and volunteers to ensure we can deliver our volunteer tree planting, tree care days, and other activities, for example outreach volunteering or fundraising volunteering. Volunteer coordination includes:
  • Managing volunteer leader rotas and calendars
  • Ensuring all volunteers are provided with timely, accurate and clear logistical information ahead of volunteer days
  • Responding to volunteer and volunteer leader enquiries in a timely manner
  • Putting in place suitable contingency plans in the case of a volunteer leader having to pull out of a commitment

Every week during term time, children aged 5-11 attend our 90-minute KEEN London sports and games sessions, where they receive personalised support from our dedicated team of volunteer coaches. Our Brent site is the newest addition to the KEEN London community and you'll play a crucial role in its continual development. We have just completed our two year pilot and are looking for a candidate to build on this foundation.  As the Brent Service Coordinator, you'll be solely responsible for the front line delivery of the Brent service: planning, safety, and creating a fun and inclusive environment for all. This will involve working closely with our athletes and their families, supervising our team of volunteer coaches and engaging with the local community.  Additionally, you'll oversee the organisation and execution of off-site trips and contribute to the organisation of our annual residential trip.

You'll be working closely with our Head of Operations and Fundraising Manager to capture our impact and promote our services effectively. Responsibilities:

Delivery of core services

● Ensure the safe and effective running of weekend activity sessions in your area of London (every Saturday during term time)

● Ensure the safe and effective running of other services in development

● Plan, risk assess and deliver offsite trips

We’re looking for an experienced, part-time volunteer coordinator to deliver our extensive volunteer programme, featuring our Older People’s Befriending projects, our group assistants, our administrative volunteers and other volunteer opportunities. 

What we do

Time & Talents is a lively, busy community centre in the heart of Rotherhithe. Set in a leafy heritage building and ‘T&T2’, our second venue in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, we offer something for everyone. With a history of 137 years of supporting people of all ages in Rotherhithe and Bermondsey, we bring people together for mutual support, fun and friendship, with a wide range of services and activities for older people and other adults, along with volunteering and children and families’ projects. Time & Talents is well-known for supporting isolated and lonely older people in the area. Our volunteer Befriending scheme is more than 40 years strong and helps around 75 housebound older people each year to have social contact they can rely on. Cycling Without Age (CWA), a newer branch of our volunteer work based on a Danish model, has transformed into Bicycle Befriending since the pandemic. Bicycle Befriending pairs trained cyclists with older people for regular rides round the parks in our specialist trishaws. The trishaws are also a big hit at our events! In addition to the Older Adults programme needs, we need volunteers each week to support our community groups and our administrative needs. Corporations often want to volunteer as teambuilding events or to help with our community offer, and this role plays a lead role as first point of contact for those queries as well. We are building our volunteer-driven offer whilst staying focused on our aims: ensuring that everyone feels part of a community and that no one is isolated or lonely.

The role

In this role, you’ll:

• Develop volunteering roles and projects in line with T&T’s aims across programme areas.

• Support programme areas to develop their volunteer roles and recruit, train and support those volunteers.

• Develop and coordinate the befriending and CWA projects at Time & Talents, including recruitment, training and support of volunteers and service users in these projects.

• Act as first point of contact for corporate volunteering inquiries.

You have a track record in driving the excellent delivery of grant-funded community programmes in the third sector. About the Role

Leadership

• Lead, motivate and inspire the Events team, a team of 4 at present
