About us
Who we are
We believe that by supporting young people in the UK to access the ACF, we can help to develop their physical, mental and social skills to give them the best possible start in life and help them achieve their life ambitions. We also value ACF volunteers and are committed to developing their youth leadership and training abilities.
Our culture and values
A – Abiding
We learn from the past and plan for the future. We know that there will always be young people and there will always be a need to support their growth and development.
C – Committed
We are dedicated in our mission to empower young people through Army Cadet Force activities and inspire them to achieve their future ambitions.
C – Courageous
We know the importance of our work in supporting all young people to access life-changing opportunities and we believe in aiming higher.
T – Trustworthy
We are inclusive and principled. We do what we think is right in support of young people. We make values-based judgements and think deeply about our programmes and activities. We want young people to accept one another for who they are and build positive relationships.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
Our people give us energy and ability, no matter who they are.
Our team have a wide range of heritage, identity and life experiences. We believe it is this very diversity that enables our charity to do more and better in support of our beneficiaries. Every new team member brings something we’ve not had before and we welcome and celebrate all our differences.
We want you to be able to use your talents and not worry about arbitrary rules. By making adjustments and including all our team members we enable people to bring their best; and their best means better outcomes for us as a charity.
