I am excited to be working with an amazing disability support, housing organisation in search of an Interim Service Manager on a 6-month FTC. This is a part-time (4-day week) London based hybrid role. As Service Manager you will report to the Director of Finance and Resources, the Service Manager is responsible for the delivery of high quality ‘front of house’ services for residents of the organisation. This includes responsibility for property and building maintenance, oversite of managed services contracts for catering and housekeeping, reception, front of house services, porters, and customer services, as well as managing external contractors and health and safety.
Main responsibilities:
Provide proactive support to the Senior Management Team on matters relating to Health and Safety and Fire risk of the Charity.
Ensure that contracts are reviewed and tendered when up for renewal ensuring that the Charity gets Value for Money.
Improving business performance and providing maintenance solutions that are appropriate and cost effective.
Use data to highlight trends and initiatives to improve business performance.
Building and Environment:
Ensure that the building, accommodation, and external environment of the organisation is maintained to a high standard and that all repairs are completed in a timely manner
Provide line management and oversight of the estate manager and maintenance team, ensuring that their work is prioritised and delivered within budget.
Responsible for the procurement functions of the Charity.
Oversee all relevant fire, health and safety and environment checks across the British Home ensuring that the charity remains compliant with its Health and Safety and other regulatory responsibilities (e.g., HSE, CQC, etc.).
Conduct periodic reviews of resident’s accommodation and communal areas in collaboration with the Home Manager to ensure that provision is up to standard and in line with resident’s needs.
External Contractors:
Manage the maintenance budget ensuring that all building works are delivered with the annual forecast and the charity receives value for money from its suppliers.
Maintain and review a schedule of contracts and service level agreements with all relevant contractors ensuring the continuity of all building, maintenance, and ancillary services without disruption to residents of the home.
Monitor the ongoing performance of external service/ building contractors and advise the Director of Resources and Chief Executive on the (re) procurement of maintenance, catering, and ancillary services, where applicable
Requirement to engage current stakeholders, as well as identifying and building new external relationships across a wide variety of stakeholder groups
Managing Staff:
Create an environment orientated to trust, open communication, and cohesive team effort.
Manage the ongoing performance and development of line reports including regular supervision and annual performance development reviews.
Conduct regular planning and monitoring of the maintenance team’s work schedule, ensuring that personnel and resources are deployed as efficiently as possible.
Referrals and Admissions:
Co-ordinate all referral and admission enquiries for new and prospective residents, ensuring that new referrals are processed swiftly and accurately to maximise resident occupancy within the Home.
Work closely with Home Manager to ensure room availability is communicated and new resident’s rooms are ready for admissions.
Supervise the collation and reporting of resident’s data for the monthly management report

About the role
We are looking for someone who has a passion for working with data, and providing business intelligence that leads to action. If you love creating simple ways to explain complex data, and are excited by revealing the stories hidden within the data, then this could be the role for you.
Your main focus will be to provide reporting and research for our fundraising and marketing initiatives, helping to create a clear view of our marketing directorate performance. You will work closely with colleagues and key stakeholders to understand business intelligence requirements, scope out projects and deliver reporting to agreed specifications.
You will work closely with colleagues to ensure that reporting is used and a data-driven culture established. The outputs from your work will lead to insight that supports strategy development, and future investment decisions. Some projects will focus on other areas of organisational data, such as measuring our impact, or our financial model, as required.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have proven experience in analysing data and producing reporting, ideally using some advanced techniques for data extraction and manipulation (such as SQL) and a modern data visualisation tool (such as Power BI or Tableau). Full training will be provided, to enable the postholder to develop into a fully rounded data analyst, including training in the maintenance and development of our in-house data warehouse.
About you
We are looking for a pro-active self starter, who has a passion for working with data and a hunger to learn. You will be patient and methodical in your work, and be able to focus both on the technical aspects of data analysis and reporting, and also understand the strategic thinking that your work will contribute to.

- To work with marketing audience strategists and the Data and Insight Manager in the commissioning and production of research, and contribute to statistical modelling projects.
- To propose and pro-actively undertaking supporter analysis with the aim of promoting efficiencies and value for money within fundraising campaigns.
- Play a key role in strategic projects, as required, acting as a subject matter expert for data, covering a range of topics, such as supporter journey mapping, process documentation / re-design, software implementation to name just a few.

About you
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Marketing and Communications Manager to be responsible for the marketing and external communication of all RHN services and charitable activity. This is a specialist marketing and communications role and your primary focus will be on developing and running marketing campaigns, producing promotional materials and identifying opportunities for growth. Specifically, the RHN wishes to increase growth and income through marketing to commissioners, referrers, families, clinical networks, partners, funders and all external media to maximise the impact of targeted marketing campaigns. You will help take ANT to our next level of impact by leveraging volunteers to deliver tree planting and tree care activities across our woodland sites. Main responsibilities
- Lead on the coordination of our volunteer leaders and volunteers to ensure we can deliver our volunteer tree planting, tree care days, and other activities, for example outreach volunteering or fundraising volunteering. Volunteer coordination includes:
- Managing volunteer leader rotas and calendars
- Ensuring all volunteers are provided with timely, accurate and clear logistical information ahead of volunteer days

Time & Talents is a lively, busy community centre in the heart of Rotherhithe. Set in a leafy heritage building and ‘T&T2’, our second venue in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, we offer something for everyone. With a history of 137 years of supporting people of all ages in Rotherhithe and Bermondsey, we bring people together for mutual support, fun and friendship, with a wide range of services and activities for older people and other adults, along with volunteering and children and families’ projects. Time & Talents is well-known for supporting isolated and lonely older people in the area. Our volunteer Befriending scheme is more than 40 years strong and helps around 75 housebound older people each year to have social contact they can rely on. Cycling Without Age (CWA), a newer branch of our volunteer work based on a Danish model, has transformed into Bicycle Befriending since the pandemic. Bicycle Befriending pairs trained cyclists with older people for regular rides round the parks in our specialist trishaws. The trishaws are also a big hit at our events! In addition to the Older Adults programme needs, we need volunteers each week to support our community groups and our administrative needs. Corporations often want to volunteer as teambuilding events or to help with our community offer, and this role plays a lead role as first point of contact for those queries as well. We are building our volunteer-driven offer whilst staying focused on our aims: ensuring that everyone feels part of a community and that no one is isolated or lonely.
