Supporter Experience & Journeys Executive

 
Are you a charity professional with an avid interest in supporter journeys? Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity is hiring for a Supporter Experience and Journeys Executive.

This is a new position in an area with ambitious aims to grow income, and a need for a holistic, audience-led supporter journey to better engage our supporters and increase lifetime value, supporter journeys will play a key part in growing voluntary income over the coming years. 

Salary 

The salary for this position is £33,148 per annum.

Role Overview 

This is a varied role where you’ll be involved with: 

• Assisting the Supporter Experience and Journeys Manager with implementation of supporter journeys across the fundraising directorate and charity. 
• Identifying new supporter journey opportunities and work with fundraisers to map out touchpoints. 
• Contributing to the creation of email content and the delivery of automated digital journeys and one-off communications 
• Creating copy for supporter journey communications, tailoring and personalising copy for different audiences 
• Analysing the performance of supporter journeys and make insight-led recommendations for optimisations to supporter experience 

About You 

We’re looking for someone with:

• Previous experience working in a charity environment, ideally within a supporter journeys or marketing role.
• A passion for supporter journeys.
• The ability to build productive relationships with internal stakeholders and/or supporters.
• Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills.
• Copywriting skills and ability to understand different audiences and tailor content appropriately.
• Knowledge of CRM systems and reporting tools.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to make recommendations based on trends in data.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines.

This role will work with the Supporter Experience & Journeys Manager and fundraising teams to implement new supporter journeys which deepen supporter engagement and support our ambition to significantly grow voluntary net income. The team sits alongside Data, Analytics and Digital, working closely with those areas to ensure we are utilising our data as effectively as possible to improve our supporters’ experience with us

• Lead the implementation of ShareAction’s IT strategy, ensuring the strategy is aligned with organisational goals and priorities, including approaches to data management, AI, hardware and software provisions, IT security, staff skills and user experience

Requirements

To be successful, you will have:

Job Purpose:

To deliver excellent administrative support to the Fundraising team, volunteers and supporters within the UK, including the provision of high-quality donor care. Ensure accurate data input and support fundraising activities to maximise Self Help Africa’s income.

Key Responsibilities:

• To be the first point of contact for the Fundraising Department, answering the phones and meeting and greeting people who arrive to the office.
• Respond to enquiries from supporters, prospective supporters and volunteers including telephone, post and email responses to donations, queries and information requests.

We are recruiting three Senior Workforce Leads to support hands-on recruitment, onboarding, and training of IPS Employment Specialists across various regions. These roles will include the development and delivery of in-depth IPS specific training and involvement in the delivery of a Level 3 accredited IPS qualification and apprenticeship.

IPS Grow is a national programme designed to support the expansion of Individual Placement and Support (IPS) services in mental health, primary care, and drug and alcohol teams across England. The programme is led by Social Finance in partnership with the Centre for Mental Health. It is funded by NHS England and Improvement (NHSE/I), the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), and the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID).

The opportunity

The Senior Workforce Leads will play a crucial role in the recruitment, onboarding, training and will lead on the promotion of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) within the IPS workforce across their designated regions. They will support the scale up of IPS by ensuring high-quality recruitment processes within IPS services, comprehensive training programs, and effective onboarding practices. There is a particular focus on embedding a race equity lens across recruitment practices in line with our IPS Grow strategy. Additionally, they will be responsible for developing and delivering advanced IPS training across the country and acting as tutors for the Level 3 accredited qualification program.

Responsibilities

The key requirements of the role are:

Recruitment and Onboarding:

• Provide hands-on support on the recruitment process for IPS Employment Specialists in assigned regions.

· Support with the development, delivery and facilitation of IPS e-learning.

 Relationship Building:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with local and national stakeholders, including IPS services, ICB Leads and Regional NHS Leads.

• Report into Workforce Manager, sharing insights and updates on workforce development initiatives in the region.

 Quality Assurance and Reporting:

• Ensure that recruitment, onboarding, and training processes align with IPS Grow's quality assurance standards.

• Collect and analyse data related to workforce and EDI development activities, providing regular reports to the Workforce Manager.

About the role:

The British Museum's Advancement department is responsible for securing funds for the Museum from across a menu of different fundraising activities. The Corporate Partnerships team is responsible for developing and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with sponsors, and members in the corporate sector.

A key aspect of the role is to support the Head of Corporate Partnerships with the management of existing relationships with corporate supporters. You will inherit a portfolio of current supporters wherein they are expected to plan, initiate and deliver activities to manage, maintain and grow relationships.

Additionally, the role requires a large focus on business development with opportunity to increase team revenue from new corporate sponsors, partners and members. The Corporate Partnerships Officer will liaise across various departments within the Museum to develop proposals, marketing materials, reports, monthly network news, and a variety of other team resources.

Key areas of responsibility:

Income Generation

• To be responsible for the day to day management and renewal of an agreed upon number of corporate sponsors, partners and members on an annual basis, recognising opportunities to increase revenue to sponsorship level when available.
• To recruit an agreed upon number of new corporate sponsors, partners and members on an annual basis (securing multi-year agreements whenever possible).
• To play an active role in development of new business pitches (with the support of either the Manager Corporate Relations or Head of Corporate Relations).

Account Management

• Maintaining regular communications with corporate supporters in the assigned portfolio and cultivating the relationships for future giving.
• Ensuring the efficient and complete delivery of benefits in consultation with the Events team.
• Identifying and encouraging senior relationships across both organisations.
• Ensuring Raiser's Edge fundraising database is updated and holds accurate information for each relationship in the portfolio.

Administration

• Liaise with Museum stakeholders to supply accurate information for use in sponsorship/funding proposals for current and/or prospective corporate supporters (i.e. become a subject matter expert for the Corporate Relations team in certain agreed upon funding areas of interest).
• Responsible for new business research, identifying and approaching suitable prospects, as well as coordinating response to specific interested prospects.

The role of an IDVA is to address the safety of victims and survivors at high risk of harm. IDVAs work with their customers from the point of crisis by safety planning and risk assessing using the DASH to ascertain the level of risk to the victim. They will also raise awareness of male domestic abuse with partners and within the community.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract.

What you'll do:

Look Ahead IDVAs have the personal qualities required to manage customer expectations alongside the responsibilities of their role. Day to day IDVA activities include:
Manage client referrals, completing Dash Risk Assessments and obtaining and maintaining all relevant paperwork
Building supportive, trusting relationships with clients and creating a positive atmosphere
Knowledge of the criminal justice system. Understanding of Marac protocols
Regular attendance at Marac and completion of all Marac referrals
Support Customers to obtain Non Molestation Orders where needed and any other civil remedies available to them
Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities
Attending all court and Case Management hearings with or as a representative for clients.
Supporting clients to set personalised goals in the form of a Safety and Support Plan.
Assisting in the recording and reporting of customer incidents

Developing productive relationships with partner organisations to improve service outcomes
Adhering to lone working protocols and maintaining high levels of awareness in relation to the health and safety of yourself and colleagues

About the Service

Ella House is a temporary accommodation service supporting single women experiencing multiple and additional needs in Haringey. These additional needs include significant mental health (suicide ideation, self-harm, personality disorder, complex PTSD, psychosis, and paranoia etc.) they may also be currently experiencing or have a history of substance and alcohol misuse and be involved with the criminal justice system. We also often have women with other significant disability and health, care and support needs. Ella House is staffed 24/7. We provide robust risk and needs assessments and safety planning plus emotional and practical support. We work in a trauma informed way implementing in practice a psychologically informed environment. We provide wellbeing groups, as well as wellbeing and life skills activities.

About the Role

You will provide weekend cover as required by the service on a Sunday and agreed on a monthly rota basis. This can consist of a mixture of early, day or late shift. You will be completing wellbeing checks and be available to support in a crisis. Weekend cover will include some housekeeping and H&S tasks, completing regular wellbeing checks and offering emotional and practical support to women in the service. This role is predominantly lone working, and you will need to be able to work independently and proactively. You should already have experience of working with service users who have experienced multiple disadvantages and have a passion for implementing wellbeing activities. An in depth understanding of the needs of women from a diverse background is essential. You will receive quarterly supervision with your line manager and will have the option to attend team meetings and clinical supervision.

About You

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and VAWG its impact on women and their children, as well as experience of providing emotional support and crisis management.

You will have experience of managing risk and following case management procedures to meet the needs of the client group, and the ability to offer wellbeing and life skills activities in a flexible and inclusive way.

You will have a working knowledge of the policy and procedures for refuge accommodation and experience of supporting women with additional needs.

Outside of this, you will have excellent administrative and time management skills and the ability to effectively follow the handover and agreed support and safety plans that have been agreed with the key worker and service manager.

Young Responders is an exciting new St John Ambulance project which has been made possible by funds raised by players of People’s Postcode Lottery and awarded through Postcode Innovation Trust. The project aims to engage and empower young people from diverse communities who face the greatest health inequities to become active health citizens, through peer-to-peer learning and practical physical and mental health first aid sessions relevant to the challenges they face. Aimed at young people aged 14 to 25 (or 11 to 25 for broad access), who would not typically come through our doors. Young Responders will use existing St John young people and volunteers to deliver first aid training to young people from under-served communities. To deliver this ambition, young people and volunteers will become Community Champions who will deliver sessions that are local to young people and reflective of their needs and those of the community in which they live. The Facilitator will be responsible for directly leading and delivering first aid training sessions with community organisations and educational settings. This role will also offer pastoral support to those delivering sessions to support their welfare and wellbeing.

About the Service

Our Nightlight Service is proud to provide urgent support, crisis intervention and emotional support to people experiencing a mental health crisis in Hertfordshire as an alternative to statutory pathways.

We provide support to adults across Hertfordshire 7 days a week, 365 days a year through our helpline, crisis centres, crisis cafes and a weekend Crisis House. We aim to provide a safe space for people in crisis to talk and feel supported, be listened to without judgement, access relevant support with problem solving and facilitate access to external services when necessary. As a member of our team you will work closely with service users in crisis by using a person-centred approach as to ensure that each individual is supported with dignity and respect.

The objectives of Hertfordshire Mind Network’s (HMN) Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Services are:

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire.
• To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided by Herts Mind Network and other third sector and statutory providers.
• To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• To provide an alternative pathway to people in distress and crisis to support better outcomes and reduce the demand on statutory crisis services and emergency services.

Mental Healthcare Support Workers are key members of staff delivering the Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Service, taking part in a rota covering 7 days per week, ensuring the delivery of quality crisis support services and instilling Hertfordshire Mind Network’s values throughout the crisis cafe and helpline provision. Working closely with other staff (bank staff, volunteers), coordinators, team leaders and Crisis manager to ensure services are of the highest quality and support the continued growth and development of the service.

About the Comms Officer role: Supporting the Comms Manager, Senior Team and workstream/project leads to facilitate effective delivery of the comms strategy and key messages to keep staff and volunteers informed of developments through several channels including; face to face events, regular email bulletins, webinars, text, magazine, printed publications and regular newsletters. Producing compelling, snappy copy and sourcing appropriate content including banners, video, infographics to engage our volunteers/supporters as well as our staff. Designing/building comms campaigns in our email platform, dotdigital. Using email marketing best practice to increase engagement of comms through testing and evaluation, analysing the impact of our e-marketing programme and providing suggestions to improve success/maximise campaign effectiveness. Managing the Virtual Coffee Meetings for staff, working with colleagues to produce content, supporting Q&As in the sessions. Segmenting data and developing a CRM strategy identifying comms journeys for volunteers/supporters. Ensuring that retail comms channels are effectively implemented, used and continuously improved to achieve high levels of employee/volunteer engagement, reporting on effectiveness. Supporting colleagues with ecomms and SMS to referrers/volunteers on the NHS and Care Volunteer Responders programme. Measuring the impact and effectiveness of our e-comms to make improvements as required. Feeding into regular reports to develop future goals. Creating/sending online surveys, evaluating and reporting results. Setting up and promoting webinars to referrers and volunteers

Hours:  35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

What you'll bring as our Comms Officer: A BA or equivalent qualification is required. A professional qualification from the Chartered Institute of Public Relationsor the Chartered Institute of Marketing can be helpful.

Skills: This is a role which requires confident writing at pace. The post holder is required to write in a variety of styles for our different communications channels in a way that is engaging, grammatically correct and appropriate. Computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes including: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook. This role will suit a support worker looking to working throughout the night. You will report to the team leader and engage with/ support customers during anti-social hours.

This is a great opportunity for a Waking Night Support Worker, wanting to gain exceptional experience within the mental health field, based on the solid working relationship with (SCMHT). We have since implemented training directly from SCMHT to support staff with understanding Mental Health diagnosis and Managing Crisis with our customers in-house.

You will be based at Hope House. We have two sites: Hope House and Doddsfield Rd. Hope House/ Place is a 10 bed supported housing service, providing support for 16 customers overall. The support hours for Hope House are 24 hours, 7 days a week, with one waking night.

Doddsfield Rd has 6 independent living flats with floating support.

This role requires a valid Right to Work for the UK as Look Ahead are not a sponsoring organisation.

What you'll do:

- Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Team Leader/ Manager.
- Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support and actions.
- Create support/action plans for providing appropriate services based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available.
- Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation.
- Develop and maintain links with all key agencies and service providers in the local community.
- Empower customers to ensure they receive the service and benefits they are entitled to
- Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive tenant/customer records to professional standards.
- Encourage and enable tenants to pay their rent and to ensure that rent accounts are managed effectively in conjunction with the Housing Management team.
- Ensure that referrals are chased proactively so that properties which can be used to house those in need are filled as efficiently as possible.
- Adhere to Look Ahead's Policies and Procedures.
- Engage in learning and development activity to increase knowledge and skills.
- Undertake any other duties consistent with the grade and nature of the post as may be reasonably assigned.
