The shift pattern for this role includes 5x 8hr shifts per week on a rolling rota of Monday to Sunday. This post involves some weekend and bank holiday working.

What you'll do:
Understand the concept of Recovery and apply those principles to develop an environment and service that enhances recovery
Put the service-user at the centre of their support and promote optimism and hope for their increased independence
Act as a positive influence on service-users encouraging responsible behaviour and self reliance to people residing in the Service
Support people in a way that maximises their self-sufficiency and enables them to live independently upon discharge from the service
Support customers to maintain their tenancy
Carry out holistic assessments and devise appropriate recovery focused support plans, and comprehensive risk assessments in full consultation with service-users, their families/carers and other agencies
Ensure recovery focused support plans are created, reviewed, evaluated and amended in accordance with changing needs, presenting risks and individual preferences in order to promote recovery
Undertake key working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Team Leader/Service Manager
Be flexible and responsive to the needs of service-users as directed by their personal support plan
Provide recovery focused support to achieve personal goals/aspirations in partnership with service-users, family members and statutory agencies. To work with service-users on a one to one basis to achieve positive outcomes within the given service timeframe

What you'll bring:
At least an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social care, or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years experience in working in mental health or other specialist social care services
Bring expertise in specialist areas such as dual diagnosis, substance misuse, hoarding or therapeutic interventions.
An understanding of care-planning processes and Models of Care within mental health
Knowledge of group and individual therapy

We are looking to appoint a Programme Project Lead who will be responsible for the day to day development and management of the Kentown Children’s Palliative Care Programme.

Reporting to the Director of Care and based at our Kentown Care Team office in Lancaster, you will work in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, specifically Together for Short Lives to lead the project and to raise awareness of the programme and of children’s palliative care.

You will take responsibility for delivering a high-quality family support service, managing the Kentown Family Support Team and will be a member of the Rainbow Trust Care Managers group, contributing to service development across the wider organisation and providing management and leadership to the team in relation to all safeguarding issues.

About the role:

We are looking for an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) to compliment our existing IDVA working alongside East London Foundation Trust. This is a part time, fixed term role. The aim of this role is to support victims of domestic abuse who are inpatients across Bedfordshire. This role will be working with victims of domestic abuse who are predominately risk assessed as standard/medium. This role will also work alongside our other specialist services covering Bedfordshire.

As an IDVA you will be:

• Providing a high quality support and advocacy service to victims of domestic abuse.
• Managing a caseload; identifying and assessing risks and needs, providing a tailored crisis intervention service through individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
• Working with other agencies and advocating on behalf of service users in order to help them access services to keep them safe.
• Working within a multi-agency framework consisting of partners as well as MARAC and other local partnerships to offer a coordinated response to domestic abuse.
• Promoting the service and raise awareness of domestic abuse through the delivery of training

You will need:

• Experience of working in support and advocacy with victims of domestic abuse is advantageous
• To be able to prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/needs and interests and promote organisation interests and values.
• To ideally hold a SafeLives IDVA accreditation, relevant degree, vocational qualification or relevant experience of delivering a service and working with domestic abuse victim's/service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting.

As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will:

• Implement effective ways of working with victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm.
• Provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a premium service prioritised according to risk, primarily focusing on victim/survivors aged 16+
• Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse.

You will need:

• Have a knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic abuse (in heterosexual or same-sex relationships).
• Have a good understanding of domestic abuse including the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children.
• Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children
• Understand safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
• Direct service delivery to victims of domestic abuse or other vulnerable people.
• Have excellent communication, negotiation and advocacy skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals. Understand and be committed to equal opportunities and diversity issues in policy and practice.

About the position

The successful candidate will be a finance professional with experience of working in an international setting. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, flexibility and tenacity are essential requirements of the post-holder as these will enable the successful candidate to communicate with both with finance and non-finance staff around the world as well as helping the finance and operations team to maintain robust financial systems and processes. The Finance Officer will support the Program Finance Manager who is responsible for the financial management of partner grants awarded by The Freedom Fund. The Finance Officer will help ensure the completeness and accuracy of partner grant information held within The Freedom Fund systems (the grant management system and the accounting system) and associated reports. Whilst the main focus of the role will be program finance, the post holder will also provide support to the Financial Accountant through balance sheets reconciliations and other financial accounts tasks at month-end and year-end, as required.

 Responsibilities

Partner grant reporting

• Review quarterly partner finance reports to ensure these are completed accurately and are compliant with FF reporting requirements.

• Create finance report templates for new implementing partners in accordance with grant agreement and budget.

• Maintain the partner finance report templates that cater for the differences in reporting relevant to each country/hotspot/program.

• Lead partners training on the format and completion procedure of quarterly financial reports.

• Prepare and post the journal for partner expenditure into FF finance system (Microsoft Business Central).

• Perform the quarterly reconciliation of the partner expenditure balance sheet account, preparing associated journals where necessary so that the account balance is consistent with the latest partner grant finance reports.

• Maintain program finance information relating to partners in the grant management system (currently held in Access, transitioning soon to Salesforce). Ensure that the data is complete and consistent with partner finance reports and other sources.

• Support the Program Finance Manager in providing capacity building training for implementing partners.

• Assist the Program Finance Manager in reviewing partners budgets

• Help design and implement ad-hoc internal reports as required by the Program Finance Manager.

• Participate in meetings between Finance and Programs teams in support of the Program Finance Manager. Lead on partner finance reporting performance queries and complete actions related to these.

• Support the Program Finance Manager in the assessment of partner financial risk. Maintain the partner risk summary table and dashboard.

• Support the Program Finance Manager with monitoring the completion of actions resulting from due diligence assessments of new partners.

Financial Accounts

• Assist the Financial Accountant with month-end balance sheets reconciliations and other related month end tasks

• Perform monthly reconciliation of between the grant management system (Salesforce) and the accounting system (Microsoft Business Central)

• Help ensure a strong financial control environment, ensuring accounting records are complete and accurate

• Assisting on process and systems improvements which lead to more effective financial control

• Assist the Financial Accountant with year-end audit tasks as required

• Any other duties commensurate with the post as requested by the Program Finance Manager, the Financial Accountant, the Head of Finance and the Managing Director, Finance and Administration

Qualifications and experience

Essential

• Accounting / book-keeping qualification.

• Experience of preparing and/or reviewing financial reports for grants awarded to international organisations.

• Advanced Excel skills and strong general IT skills.

• Experience of providing training to small groups, especially through video calls and to participants who do not have English as a first language.

• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

• Experience in the Finance department of an International NGO or local NGO funded by international grants.

• Experience working with multiple currencies.

We are currently looking for a Local Services Manager to lead Dementia Support services in North London. We currently have a number of established services in the area, but with the potential for expansion.  This would suit an experienced leader from a Health and Social Care background with a particular skill in developing external networks and partnerships, especially with underserved communities.

As a Local Services Manager you will provide leadership and management to local service teams, holding responsibility for the management and delivery of specific contracts and services, while supporting the Regional Manager to deliver the Alzheimer’s Society’s Help & Hope strategy. 

You will lead the local delivery of services across a designated area, ensuring that those services are of high quality, person centred, safe and that people affected by dementia are at the heart of all service delivery. The direct line management responsibility for Dementia Advisors and other posts who provide support and guidance to people with dementia using a person-centred approach will lie with the successful individual. 

The Local Services Manager will report directly to the Regional Manager and will be a member of the London management team. There will be a requirement for travel across the designated area with expenses paid in accordance with our expenses policy. - Have previous experience as a people manager having led teams to deliver high performance outcomes and work collaboratively to provide an excellent service. 
- Role models our values in all they do, who can work effectively with internal teams to achieve mutual outcomes. 
- Be someone who can work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Have a positive and proactive attitude to challenging situations and problem solving, using a collaborative and engaging approach with your team.

We are looking for an experienced and proactive events manager to join our ambitious National Events team. This role will manage the recruitment, marketing and logistics of events within our National Events portfolio including a new Tower Run product as well as third party event, RideLondon, which has a participant target of 100 riders. This role will also lead on new product development, detecting potential gaps in our programme and trialling new products where appropriate. The role

The Communications and Engagement Officer role combines work on events, stakeholder management, public affairs and communications, all seeking to build audience engagement and increase the profile and influence of the Nuffield Council on Bioethics.

About the Service

This is a pilot working as a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) with housing teams and Drug and Alcohol Services across District and Borough councils. These teams will be working with individuals who are presenting as homeless and have a number of Complex Needs.

Purpose of Post

Providing advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to clients who are experiencing mental ill health or need support with their mental wellbeing. These will be clients who are presenting to District and Borough councils as homeless and need intervention and support with their mental health and remain a source of independent support for all clients. Ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the client is monitored and reviewed regularly and that a person centred recovery orientated and trauma informed approach is embedded approach in all aspects of the roles.

Service Objectives

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental ill health.
• To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental ill health in, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided by Herts Mind Network and other third sector and statutory providers.
• To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• To reduce the use of police, ASB, tenancy enforcement, housing needs and environmental health services by clients whose primary need is related to mental ill health.
• To reduce the use of crisis services by people experiencing mental ill health without positive outcomes for the individual.
• To provide an assertive outreach approach for clients who are in crisis and/ or those that may have complex or multiple needs.
• To work collaboratively within an MDT consisting of CGL, District and Borough councils, housing teams and other professionals.
