Calm Mediation is recognised as a national leader in community mediation & restorative justice. We offer a range of seven services (and growing) with internal and external training. The successful candidate will work with multiple stakeholders, from mediation trainees and volunteer practitioners, to housing associations, workplaces and students, to agree their conflict resolution learning needs. The role has two aspects: 1. training sessions; 2. support of practitioner engagement. Our latest pracitioners joined in May 2024 and others have been with us for decades. The training campaigns range from 'awareness sessions', (advice/information to enable better understanding of how we can help), to our 'Accredited Mediator' courses which run for two weeks plus a written Portfolio. You will also be involved in our annual 'Calm Connect' event which is a showcase for the sector, with top speakers and always a lively & interesting Q&A.

To help us in this next phase of development, we are recruiting for a newly created position - Senior Evaluation and Data Manager. This exciting role will report to the Director of Learning and Impact and work alongside the Senior Evaluation and Research Manager. The role will have two main areas of focus. First, the role will help lead a rolling schedule of formative evaluations on activities in local sites including pre-and-post quantitative outcomes analysis. Second, the role will support local learning and high-quality implementation through harnessing the power of quantitative data.
You will be a skilled evaluation and learning professional with strong skills in quantitative data analysis. You will also be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and committed to the need for continued learning and improvement, as a basis for achieving Thrive at Five’s ambition to develop an effective and replicable place-based model for supporting early childhood development.

WHAT WE DO
Young people from lower income families are 40% less likely to go to University than wealthier peers (Dept for Education, 2020) which can have a lifelong impact on earning potential. Covid-19 has deepened inequalities (Social Mobility Foundation, 2022) and negatively impacted on young people's wellbeing (GirlGuiding, 2020). We believe that no girls should have their futures limited by their gender, sex, ethnicity, background, or parental income and they should be supported to realise their ambitions, to discover their self-worth, and to develop their capacity to shape their world and their futures.
We work in communities of least advantage across England to deliver two core programmes to achieve this vision. Through our mentoring programme we connect 14-19 year old girls with a mentor and a wider network of role models who are women and deliver opportunities which help them to build life skills and nurture their ambitions. Based on the idea that 'you can't be what you can't see', our mentors often help girls to broaden their horizons and create a more positive vision of their futures. After the programme, the mentees can join a free, lifelong network of support - our Ambassador Community, which offers further opportunities to reach their goals, build their confidence and to share their voices and experiences.
Our programmes help girls and young women to develop the knowledge, skills, self-belief and opportunities to thrive, and to be supported as part of a network that champions them and ensures their voices are heard.
THE ROLE
Purpose: To manage the effective implementation of programme delivery and development of Merseyside, Tyne and Wear, and Tees Valley Regions. This role will work with staff, schools and corporate partners to ensure that we deliver impact for the girls and young women we serve.
Manage The Girls’ Network mentoring (and other) programmes in your region:
Partnership development:
- Develop effective partnerships with new schools, recruiting them into The Girls’ Network’s programme to enable your team to meet regional targets. Maintaining relationships for successful renewals.
- Collaborate with fundraising colleagues during the engagement process of new corporate partners, to ensure regional targets and needs are met e.g. income, mentor numbers, programme content.
- Oversee delivery of mentor opportunities for the region’s corporate partnerships, ensuring Memorandum of Understanding are met, referring any issues of concern to the Fundraising team for support and guidance.
- Provide relevant information to fundraising and Monitoring Evaluation Research and Learning colleagues on any Tier 1 partners in the region, to enable production of evaluation reports
- Lead on delivery of the region’s awareness events, acting as the key contact person.
- Collaborate with the Fundraising & Communications team on key campaigns, e.g. International Womens’ Day, to reach key audiences and help build awareness and support income generation.
Mentor Community Development:
- Work with programme colleagues and the fundraising team to identify regional mentoring needs and coordinate the implementation of a mentor recruitment and engagement plan in your region, ensuring your region has an appropriate amount of mentors to run programmes.
- Lead on the implementation and delivery of the region’s events, acting as the key contact person.
Safeguarding support and leadership:
- Provide day-to-day safeguarding support for the Programme team in the North of the country – escalating issues to the Safeguarding lead where appropriate.
- Provide feedback on key safeguarding risks or issues, and needs for development or training to the Safeguarding Lead
Monitoring and evaluation:
- Oversee the collection of regional data and ensure that your staff keep Salesforce up to date with mentee, mentor, schools and partners relationships to effectively track the progress, and impact of mentoring relationships.
- Periodically evaluate and report on the progress and impact of The Girls’ Network initiatives in the region.
- Hold overall responsibility for regional targets, reporting to Senior Leadership Team.
- Manage and allocate the budget for the mentoring programme in the region, to cover workshops, celebration events, travel etc
Line Management of region’s Network Managers:
- Manage Network Managers in the region, through regular 1:1s and accountability of reporting.
- Support the wellbeing and professional development of your regional team.
- Cover or support with programme delivery when needed.
Grow our network in your region:
- Identify opportunities for growth in North region and work with Senior Leadership Team to develop regional strategy
- Advocate and promote The Girls’ Network at every opportunity to raise awareness of the charity and encourage community members to become mentors
Programme Leadership within The Girls’ Network Team:
Learning & Development
- Provide shadowing opportunities to Network Managers in other regions.
- As agreed with the Co-Executive Director - Programmes (Interim), travel to other regions to provide targeted training to other Network Managers.
- Coordinate Network Managers’ induction and recruitment.
- Contribute to The Girls’ Network culture of shared learning
Responsibility for an additional workstream:
- Each senior network manager is responsible for progressing aspects of programme workstream to timelines agreed with the accountable member of Senior Leadership Team. These may vary with need over time. Workstream to be agreed with Line Manager, but may include worksteams such as:
- Programme Process and Resource Development
- Safeguarding
- Sales Development etc

INCOME GENERATION

Support the Director of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications on the implementation of the fundraising strategy, in line with changing landscape with a core focus on corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, company giving and general appeals;

Collaborate on ideas for creative sponsorship and funding opportunities in line with our strategic ambitions and develop and submit high quality and compelling funding proposals and tender documents to unlock funding;

Work with key stakeholders, including our Policy and Programme delivery teams to scope and develop exciting new project proposals;

Develop and grow the pipeline, identifying opportunities for funding from a range of sources, primarily corporate partners but also engaging, trusts & foundations and statutory sources.

PARTNERSHIPS MANAGEMENT

Support the management of existing donor relationships through working closely with the Director of Programmes & Partnerships and Programme Management Teams across the organisation;

Ensure all funding and sponsorship terms and conditions are acknowledged, recorded and completed in a timely fashion;

Accurately maintain and update records and databases, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as any legal requirements;

About the role
The Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data (GPSDD), hosted at the UN Foundation, is a dynamic international partnership of over 700 organisations. GPSDD connects stakeholders to address data gaps and harness opportunities for sustainable development.
In 2018, GPSDD , Sightsavers and partners, launched the Inclusive Data Charter (IDC)to promote inclusive, disaggregated data for better understanding and addressing the needs of marginalised people. The IDC has grown significantly, with commitments from over 30 Champions.
Sightsavers, a co-founding champion of the IDC, prioritises inclusive data to support its health and inclusion strategies. The Programme Manager - Inclusive Data will work across GPSDD and Sightsavers, managing strategic programmes and partnerships to advance inclusive data initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee IDC strategic planning and delivery, ensuring team collaboration with the IDC Technical Advisor and Advocacy Lead.
- Manage relationships with IDC champions, facilitating their engagement through regular calls and meetings.
- Foster partnerships between IDC champions, GPSDD partners, and other organisations to share experiences and strengthen inclusive data systems.
- Lead the IDC impact and learning pillar, capturing and sharing progress through data stories and knowledge products.
- Oversee budget development, monitoring, and reporting for IDC and Sightsavers, making resource allocation decisions.
- Collaborate with the IDC Advocacy Lead to identify advocacy opportunities and plan major IDC events.
- Support the Technical Advisor in providing resources and tools for Champions to develop and implement inclusive data action plans.
- Facilitate engagement of IDC co-facilitating partners, including GPSDD, Sightsavers, the UK’s Office for National Statistics and Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.
- Lead Sightsavers’ inclusive data portfolio globally, engaging with senior stakeholders.

Skills and Experience
The Programme Manager will provide programme leadership for the Inclusive Data Charter initiative, ensuring the development and delivery of agreed plans. You will coordinate the engagement of co-facilitating partners and ensure effective participation by Champions in Charter management. Additionally, you will advance reporting and learning mechanisms to track progress against Champion Action Plans.
The Programme Manager will oversee Sightsavers’ inclusive data programme at a global level, offering strategic leadership across the portfolio. Strengthening relationships with internal stakeholders and external strategic partners will be key to advancing organisational objectives and enhancing Sightsavers’ leadership in inclusive data.

Knowledge (education and related experience)
- Demonstrable experience in strategy, project management, advocacy and/or communications in international development or foreign policy

This is a unique oppertunity for a passionate and experienced fundraiser to progress further in their career, with the freedom to creatively enhance and develop the fundraising strategy of an impactful community-based charity.
As Senior Fundraising Lead you will be Baobab’s key fundraiser and a self-starter with experience of working in a small or medium sized charity. You will lead on the development of fundraising at Baobab, exploring new avenues for funding, as well as nurturing and growing existing fundraising relationships. Holocaust Centre North
Holocaust Centre North promotes education on the Holocaust and post-Holocaust issues to raise awareness of human rights, freedom, and equality. We do so by telling a global history through local stories, specifically those of survivors and refugees who rebuilt their lives in the North of England.
Our work spans archives and collections, learning, artistic research, exhibitions, and survivor welfare. Through these areas, we aim to foster a culture of care and raise awareness about the relevance of Holocaust history today.
We collaborate closely with refugees of Nazi persecution, their families and carers, local communities, artistic practitioners, researchers, and schools to create spaces for nuanced dialogue about the ongoing relevance of the Holocaust. We strive to create opportunities for reflection on the role this dark chapter of our shared history plays in the present, using contemporary critical frameworks to engage audiences with Holocaust history.
We are now seeking to expand our current work to reach communities that had previously been excluded, underrepresented, and/or marginalised in our work, also involving them in the museum itself. We are looking for an individual with experience in community engagement and development, particularly through the lens of archive practice and artistic responses to heritage collections.
The Rudi Project
Funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, The Rudi Project aims to develop strong partnerships with local communities that we don’t yet engage with, involving them as central participants within the fabric of our work. Through a programme of workshops, events, publications and artist residencies, we will use co-production to pose critical questions: how do we engender reflections on the Holocaust's legacies in communities that feel alienated from this history? How do we work with local communities that may feel divided due to the repercussions of current international conflict? How can we commemorate the Holocaust whilst also acknowledging participants’ silent testimonies and inherent experiences in an ever-shifting present?
This initiative represents the legacy of a recent rebrand process, which delivered a re-imagined Holocaust Centre North with a unique mandate to articulate 'a global history through local stories' and to foster 'a culture of care' when engaging with stories of trauma. Building on these foundations, The Rudi Project will enable communities to guide us in the design of sustainable and long-term practices to connect with people, especially those who also live their lives after trauma, loss, discrimination, persecution and isolation. In the process, the project will further enhance our resilience and sustainability by extending the reach of existing investment, and resources and bringing more voices around our table.
Job Description
To work closely with the Director to support the delivery of the organisational strategy through community engagement. This will include:
- Develop a methodology for socially engaged practice and community co-production for Holocaust Centre North
- Design and deliver meaningful community consultation.

About the role
The Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data (GPSDD), hosted at the UN Foundation, is a dynamic international partnership of over 700 organisations. GPSDD connects stakeholders to address data gaps and harness opportunities for sustainable development.
In 2018, GPSDD , Sightsavers and partners, launched the Inclusive Data Charter (IDC) to promote inclusive, disaggregated data for better understanding and addressing the needs of marginalised people. The IDC has grown significantly, with commitments from over 30 Champions.
Sightsavers, a co-founding champion of the IDC, prioritises inclusive data to support its health and inclusion strategies. The Programme Manager - Inclusive Data will work across GPSDD and Sightsavers, managing strategic programmes and partnerships to advance inclusive data initiatives.
