Summary of role
The Community Fundraising Lead will work as part of the Partnerships team. The role will collaborate on the development of the community fundraising strategy and will lead on its implementation. The role will include engaging our community with a range of fundraising opportunities and will play a vital role in generating the funding needed for Choose Love to continue to support displaced people around the World.
Core Responsibilities

Drive revenue via community fundraising generated by individual fundraisers, employees of our corporate partner base and small businesses supporting Choose Love

Build a creative, diverse community fundraising strategy using learnings from your previous experience

Collaborate with partnerships comms and digital teams on the creation of community fundraiser journey, downloadable pack and assets for fundraisers and ensure these are kept up to date

Act as the key point of contact for Choose love community fundraisers, helping keep them informed and supported and giving them the tools to maximise their donations

Work towards fundraising targets by building Choose Love's community fundraising activity

Regularly identify and explore new opportunities for fundraising

Help to generate and realise new community fundraising ideas

Work with communications team to ensure regular updates about community fundraising activities to drive donations and inspire and ask others to fundraise for Choose Love
Events Assistance

Event support for both Choose Love events and external events organised by VIPs, community fundraisers and other stakeholders - this can be everything from tracking RSVPs to arranging printed materials, payment devices, merchandise and coordinating corporate volunteers at the event

Assisting with elements of the Choose Love Shop, as required, including logistics, facilities, technology, being an onsite point of contact for talent, corporate volunteers and other stakeholders and occasional shop shifts to help out at busy times

Be Kind to Your Mind (BK2YM) is a non-clinical, mental health and wellbeing offer delivered by HFEH MIND Youth Services. BK2YM’s non-clinical interventions and psychoeducation programme (Learn Well) offers a multitiered level of support:
- Preventative and early intervention for children and young people aged 5 – 25 through HFEH Mind Psychoeducation Workshops and assemblies.
- Training for school staff and other professionals.
- Therapeutic Arts intervention (x6 sessions) for students.
- Access to a digital support tool (self-help): WYSA.
- Access to wider digital/online support tolls (Including My Mind TV).
Key Responsibilities
- Delivery of Be Kind to Your Mind interventions across schools, colleagues and alternative education.

The campaign is funding specialist nurses and therapists for Parkinson’s, making a huge difference to the lives of people living with the condition. Parkinson’s is the fastest growing neurological condition, and this work is one of the charity’s top strategic priorities for 2024 and 2025 and a crucial fundraising and communications priority.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with fundraising and communications teams across the charity, including Philanthropy, Trusts, Commercial Partnerships and Special Events, with a growing focus on Individual Giving, Events, Community and Supporter Experience as the appeal builds momentum.
We’re looking for someone who has successfully managed diverse projects, and also has experience of working in one or more of these fundraising disciplines to ensure they can hit the ground running. This will play a key role in carrying out a range of general health & safety room checks, cleaning, building maintenance and caretaking tasks. The role will report to and support the Facilities Manager in the delivery of planned, reactive maintenance and cleaning tasks.

Women V Cancer is a unique partnership between Dream Challenges, Breast Cancer Now and Ovarian Cancer Action. Together, we have raised more than £20 million in fundraising across a portfolio of one day mass participation cycling events and overseas multi-day cycling challenges.
The partnership has big aspirations for growth and is looking for someone to join as a Fundraising and Partnerships Officer with key responsibilities in relationship management across the partners, reporting and analysis, events marketing, and participant stewardship.
The right candidate will be a self-driven and experienced fundraiser, whose knowledge of marketing strategies in fundraising and events, alongside an impactful supporter journey, can enable the development and growth of this long-standing partnership. You will have experience of the charity sector, event delivery, and social media marketing.
Key Areas
Marketing and stewardship
- Increase participant numbers on events through comprehensive and diverse marketing campaigns.
- Assist in digital advertising of events including creations of social media campaigns and PPC.
- Assisting in maintenance and digital creation on the branded WVC microsite.
- Develop the partnerships first user-generated video content campaigns, and influencer campaigners, alongside the group Digital Marketing Manager.
- Assist with automated journeys from lead generation marketing.
- Assist with social media channels and assist in creating social media marketing.
- Create and send email marketing campaigns.
- Deliver stewardship journeys of registered participants on events.
- Increase the average fundraising raised per participant.
- Increase engagement and communications across relevant social media groups.
Relationship management
- Build strong relationships with all three parties and represent key stakeholder interests both internally and externally.
- Understand each individual partner’s ways of working, their individual tone of voice and organisational visions and ensure these are implemented across the partnership.
- Coordinate project groups, communications and meetings, working with various teams within all parties to plan and schedule activities.
Reporting and analysis
- Work with the Marketing team and representatives from each of the charities to undertake campaign reporting, as well as post-event analysis including, but not limited to, audience insight and feedback, engagement and attendance rates, and fundraising per participant.
- Establishing a clear payment schedule for both sides for marketing contributions and donations.
- Track performance including registration numbers and income – reporting back to all parties.
- Undertake analysis work to improve understanding of current audience demographics and their interests, reviewing this regularly to ensure accuracy.
- Undertake regular competitor analysis work to scope trends and gaps in the marketplace – looking at how we benchmark ourselves against our competitors.
- Support on the strategic planning devised by all partners, providing insight learnt from the portfolio and audience analysis to help shape this.
General
- Keep up to date with sector knowledge to ensure best practice.
- Identify new trends and scope out new product development.
- Support all elements of event delivery (including volunteer recruitment, training weekends), attending UK and overseas events when required.
- Help identify and build relationships with relevant celebrities or influencers to contribute to the Women V Cancer marketing strategy
- Work alongside charity partners to develop supporter journeys for a series of UK and Overseas events which will increase conversion, average gift and retention.
- Identifying high value fundraisers and create a specific supporter journey for these individuals.
Personal Specification
Essential:
- Strong project management skills: a logical and thorough planner with the determination to see tasks through to completion.
- Experience in charity stewardship and increasing fundraising on live events.
- Experience in marketing events and recruiting participants.

Our expert team of canine behaviourists provide behavioural support and advice to teams within Battersea, members of the public, and the rescue organisations we work with around the world. The team design and help implement behaviour modification and training plans for dogs whilst coaching members of the canine care groups through the practical day-to-day steps. They also assist with behavioural and welfare assessments of animals who come into our centres and are on hand to help manage and provide further support with dogs with more complex behavioural needs. The team provide support to dogs during their stay at Battersea, and are also available for continued advice after rehoming.
We are now looking to recruit a Canine Behaviour and Training Advisor for our team in London. Within this role, you will work with our operational teams in the assessment and welfare of the dogs in our care and in the provision of behavioural training and advice for staff, volunteers, customers and external organisations. You will be working as part of a care group to create behaviour modification plans, support with handling difficult dogs and make recommendations, along with the individual care group, for individual dog outcomes.

Purpose of Role:
Reporting to the Supporter Care Manager, you will deliver excellent customer care to supporters and potential supporters of Operation Smile UK. As an integral part of the Supporter Care team, you will successfully support the Individual Giving programme and wider fundraising activities, providing support to ever increasing income and supporter stewardship for the delivery of increasing levels of unrestricted income for Operation Smile UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the first point of contact for existing supporters and new supporters who respond to our fundraising activities by phone, email, letter or in person, letter, or email delivering outstanding supporter care
- Liaise with supporters in timely communication via email, phone, and mail with excellent customer care
- Priority is to answer incoming phone calls and escalate any difficult situations/complaints to Supporter Care Manager
- Support processing incoming phone and postal donations
- Assist with banking and processing incoming/outgoing post
- Be responsible for thanking our supporters including by letter, email and phone, despatch of information and fundraising materials
- Enter and maintain accurate records on our Database
- Maintain and assist with all types of donation processing administration and Database record amendments/records being kept up to date this will include Gift Aid status and contact consent requests
- Assist with cancelling and amending all types of regular gifts and sending out appropriate letters
- Manage removal process and consent process
- Assist with sending out problem payment letters
- Assist with handling material requests and recording actions on Database
- Assist with any third-party agency supporter care requests
- Maintain sensitive information and records with appropriate confidentiality
- Play an active role in developing the supporter journey at Operation Smile UK, working with the Supporter Care Manager, Head of Supporter Care & Database, and colleagues across Fundraising & Communications.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by the Supporter Care Manager or Head of Supporter Care & Database.
Skills and Experience Required:
Essential:
- Excellent customer service for internal and external stakeholders
- Written and verbal communications skills
- Excellent phone manner
- Strong eye for detail, methodical and accurate (critical that the database and supporter details at 100% accurate)
- Degree or equivalent qualification (i.e. marketing qualification).
- Attitude of continuous improvement, and lifelong learning.
- At least two years’ experience in a junior supporter care or administrative role
- Experience of donation or financial administration and working in a direct marketing environment or supporter care environment desirable with good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent proficiency with CRM systems (Ideally Raiser’s Edge) and the ability to learn new systems and processes.
- Experience of outward facing donor stewardship, and relationship building.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and possess problem solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Can work on own initiative and be able to show initiative.
