You will play a key role in driving forward the collective momentum of the appeal.

• Lead on the preparation and submission of high-quality, effective applications and report on grants awarded.

• Create a programme of cultivation events which nurture existing partnership relationships and underpin the creation of new ones.

• Oversee the development of inspiring digital content and collateral to attract new and retain funders and fundraisers to the charity.

• Ensure accurate record-keeping of corporate partnerships and relationships in our CRM system. 

• Ensure that our work complies with fundraising best practice, GDPR and other relevant legislation.

Summary of the role:

The CRM Project Manager will oversee the successful implementation and enhancement of the organisation’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.

This role encompasses the management of additional systems like Business Central post-CRM project delivery, and includes technical oversight, troubleshooting and integration management.

The position involves supervising an overseas developer and ensuring effective collaboration across departments to deliver projects on time and budget.

1. Lead and manage end-to-end CRM implementation and enhancement projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
2. Manage additional systems such as Business Central, ensuring seamless integration and coherence with existing processes. Accurate data entry of HR information systems to maintain data integrity.

3. PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certification.

5. Strong understanding of CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics).

Strategy and Project Management

• Develop and execute mass-market PR plans that amplify key strategic campaigns and initiatives across the calendar year, including brand, fundraising and advocacy priorities.
• Identify and maximise opportunities to generate reactive media coverage, responding effectively to external events, news and the cultural conversation.
• Write, co-ordinate and issue media releases, statements, briefing materials and Q&As, including for high-profile spokespeople and corporate partners, if required.
• Plan, manage and participate in overseas and UK trips to Save the Children programmes for the purpose of generating coverage and content – including hosting journalists and high-profile supporters.
• Commission and manage multimedia crews and organise PR shoots, with the purpose of generating world-class film and photography content that commands media attention.
• Develop and nurture close working relationships with journalists (especially those on features, women's, lifestyle, showbiz outlets) across print, digital and broadcast media - including a diverse range of outlets beyond mainstream media.
• Leverage social media and new technologies develop digital-first PR campaigns, including influencer activations.
• Represent Save the Children as spokesperson externally, networking and building relationships that support brand building activity in the media.
• Take part in the on-call and out of hours media rota. This will see you handling media enquiries and proactively pushing out stories on the weekend and out of hours during the week.
• Support PR Leads and Head of PR, Artists and Broadcast as required in the smooth-running of the team, including chairing meetings and carrying out administrative tasks.

About you

To be successful in this role, it is important that you have: 

• Experience working in a busy, high-pressure Press Office, Public Relations agency or in-house.
• Experience developing and executing PR strategies, including across multiple media platforms and involving different stakeholders.
• Excellent personal contacts with journalists, PR and Marketing professionals.
• A track record of success in obtaining media coverage in a variety of outlets for PR initiatives, backed up by portfolio of coverage.
• Outstanding ability to pitch stories to key external contacts and senior media professionals.
• Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas, often at short notice.

Abilities:

• Exceptional organisational skills, including ability to juggle short-term projects with longer-term ones.
• Sound strategic thinking and planning skills, including ability to manage time effectively and set deadlines.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to express self clearly, persuasively and a cohesive way and tailor communications to different audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and make decisions on what to prioritise when working under pressure on a number of projects.
• Excellent writing skills – including writing compelling press releases, features and comment pieces.

We want to continually improve how we use data to inform our day-to-day decisions, inform our organisation-wide strategy, and evaluate our long-term impact.

This role will be accountable for shaping and continually improving how we use data within B Lab UK, building tools, processes, policy, skills, and behaviours across the organisation to ensure we are putting data at the heart of our work to allow us to better achieve our mission.

Responsibilities will include:

• Ensure data and analytics drive knowledge, insights and context for the organisation

• Drive the continuous improvement and quality B Lab UK’s insight generation tools, ensuring the organisation is enabled to draw insight from internally and externally generated data

• Strengthen our approach to tracking, collecting, and utilising data, focusing on improving analytical efficiency and accuracy, and data quality and integrity.

• Working collaboratively with teams across B Lab UK, design, build and maintain comprehensive reports, dashboards and visualisations, providing actionable insights and metrics for the organisation.

• Develop tools and methodologies for measuring, evaluating and reporting impact of B Corps and B Lab UK

• Support the development of policies and procedures around data management, and maintain data security.

• Upskill the wider B Lab UK team in gathering, handling and analysing data

• Work collaboratively with our wider data, research and insight ‘cluster’ across B Lab Europe and B Lab Global to ensure our work is globally aligned and prioritised

Skills and Experience 

Essential

• Practical Experience and knowledge of conducting data analysis and visualising data for critical business decision-making and processes.

• Experience processing, structuring and improving data, and working with a range of digital systems to do this.

• Comfortable working with stakeholders from non-analytical backgrounds, gathering requirements, and translating them into structured analytical questions and approaches.

• Highly data literate with a good working knowledge of data types, the use of basic descriptive statistics (e.g. mean, standard deviation), and how to use data visualisation tools and techniques effectively to communicate insight.

• The ability to work collaboratively across teams, and build strong relationships with a diverse range of internal stakeholders.

• Working knowledge of GDPR and experience of adhering to it.

Desirable

• Experience working with Tableau analytics and data visualisation.

• Experience working with Salesforce reporting and dashboards.

• Experience defining data processes and standard operating procedures.

• Knowledge of additional statistical methods (e.g. cluster analysis, different types of regressions, factor analysis, predictive modelling).

• Knowledge of querying databases (Salesforce, Postgresql, etc.).

• Knowledge of other tools/programming languages (e.g. Python). 

• Knowledge of sustainability standards and certifications.

Internal Communications Officer

About the Role

We are looking to appoint an Internal Communications Officer who will play a critical role in developing and shaping the organisation’s internal communications for the staff of the Connexional Team.

The post holder will work closely with Senior Managers to ensure that the Team’s values, mission and updates are effectively communicated to all Team members working across several sites and from home, to foster a cohesive and motivated work environment.

The successful applicant will strive to create an environment where communication fosters a sense of community, aligned with the Church’s mission and values to create an engaged and informed Connexional Team.

In this crucial role, the Internal Communications Officer will be responsible for establishing and managing channels for staff feedback to leadership, producing engaging content for various channels, and organising and delivering internal events.

The successful applicant will also provide support and training for staff on communication tools and practices, encourage staff to be ambassadors of the Church, and plan and approve regular communications to be sent out to employees including staff newsletters and newsletters from Team members.

About You

The post holder will have at least three years’ experience of working with an internal communications context within an organisation and will have the ability to develop and implement comprehensive internal communications strategies that align with the organisation’s values.

You will be able to articulate messages clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally, that are tailored to various internal audiences.  Exceptional writing, editing and proof-reading skills for a range of communication channels are a must for this role.

You will also have strong organisational skills with the ability to lead projects, work collaboratively and be proficient in digital communication tools and platforms.

The successful applicant will have strong interpersonal and listening skills with experience in building relationships with key internal stakeholders.

You will also have the ability to develop a deep understanding of the Methodist Church’s mission, values, and objectives to ensure alignment in all communications.
