Who we are

CPRE Sussex the countryside charity is passionate about making the countryside a better place for people to live, work and enjoy. We believe a beautiful, diverse and thriving countryside is important for everyone, no matter where they live. We are dependent upon our members and a team of dedicated, active volunteers supported by a part-time Director and three part-time administrative staff. If you would like to keep up to date with rural issues, get involved in the local community and help make a difference to the Sussex countryside, please consider becoming a volunteer and member.

Our mission: through evidence-gathering, education, influence, convening, collaboration, and campaigning, to be one of Sussex’s leading people-powered shapers of a beautiful, thriving and sustainable countryside for everyone.

Our values: in everything we do we seek to be Inspirational, Inclusive, Evidence-based, and Collaborative, not least since we deliver the majority of our work in partnership with other organisations and communities.
