About us

Who we are

We are HUMEN, the mental health charity. HUMEN is leading the movement to improve and maintain men's mental health through The HUMEN Space. Providing an accessible and preventative solution to men suffering in silence and dying too young. We are striving to change the narrative until a prevention over crisis approach is the norm, not the exception. The HUMEN Space: Gym for the Mind are anonymous and non-clinical spaces for men to talk, listen and connect on a regular basis.

We have received funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, Sir Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, Tesco Foundation, Boots, and Lloyds Bank School for Social Entrepreneurs and ore. We are backed by high profile ambassadors including Bill Nighy, Andrew Scott, David Gandy, Tom Odell, Alan Carr and Danny Cipriani. Part of HUMEN’s identity which makes us stand out and draws in supporters, beneficiaries, funders and major donors is our power of storytelling for the change we intend to make. We achieved this with a five part documentary - The HUMEN Series. We secured a 6-week media partnership with the Evening Standard and a DOOH campaign with Global Outdoors.

HUMEN has executed partnerships with the likes of Goldman Sachs, Ted Baker, Vitabiotics, Decathlon, the world's largest sports retailer, Heineken, BetterHelp, Global and Outernet.

We are the creators of the world’s first-ever mental health league table. Consisting of a two-year research study, covering every university over 10,000 students - The HUMEN University Mental Health League Table confirmed a total media reach of 239 million in its first year of publication.
His organisation has achieved features across national and international publications, including coverage from the Guardian, BBC, Sunday Telegraph, SkyNews, ITV, the Independent and more.

HUMEN is a leader in the men’s mental health space across the UK and Ireland with The HUMEN Space.

With 75% of all UK suicides being male it is vital to understand this is not a male problem but a human one and it is costing us all so much.
