A unique opportunity for an experienced communications professional to lead a high-performing multifaceted team to promote and elevate the visibility, awareness and reputation of the RAF Benevolent Fund. You will be a strategic and agile thinker, someone who understands the need to be able to quickly pivot communications as organisational needs require. You will be responsible for developing and delivering the annual communications plan to drive high quality, effective and engaging communications for the charity. Collaborating with colleagues, partners and the RAF Family, you’ll play a key role in driving and embedding our aims, priorities and our values in all communications.

The role is based in our London HQ and currently work a minimum of three days in the office per week. The successful candidate for this role will need to prove they have the right to work in the UK.

Since 2004, Village Water has been dedicated to transforming lives in Africa by providing vital support in hygiene promotion, sanitation facilities, and safe water (WASH) in rural communities of Zambia and Mozambique.

Key information:  

Location: Remote working. (UK only) Must be able to attend a minimum of 5 mandatory meetings per year (includes overnight stay for 2-day meetings) at our office in Shrewsbury and occasional meetings elsewhere. 

Contract: Permanent. Full time 37.5 hours a week.  

Salary: Between £30,000 – £33,000 a year depending on experience.

Job Purpose  

Working across fundraising and communications you will develop and manage your own portfolio of existing Trusts and Foundations, community and individual donors, and research and prioritise new opportunities ensuring high quality stewardship to secure ongoing support. This role will focus on producing high-quality applications and reports to funders and by providing excellent account management and cross-team collaboration.  You will play a vital role in communicating our work through compelling positive case studies, stories, impacts, and images, to raise our profile and motivate people to give via supporting digital campaigns, website and social media channels. Engaging new, existing donors and all stakeholders via all communication streams is key. 

Responsibilities  

Trust Fundraising  

• Develop, manage, and maintain a trust and foundations fundraising portfolio with a clear, scheduled pipeline of funding applications, coordinating opportunities and team resources to meet targets.

• Cultivate strong working relationships with current and new trust and foundations, proactively seeking meetings, ensuring excellent relationship management.

• Collaborate with colleagues to create compelling proposals and reports.

• Work with monitoring and finance colleagues to inform impact and budgetary needs, ensuring timely reporting to donors in line with their grant conditions.

• Build resilient, long-term relationships with identified supporters, keeping them well-informed about events, campaigns, projects, and the charity itself, to foster a strong sense of belonging to Village Water, ensuring excellent stewardship.

• Use multiple research methods and communication channels to build and manage a prospective donor pipeline.

• Research and write applications to grant-making trusts, targeting an amount in line with Village Water's annual budget, with an emphasis on securing unrestricted funds where possible.

• Ensure all information on your portfolio of donors is well stewarded, recorded, and actioned in Village Water's database.

• Develop ad-hoc events and campaigns both in person and via Zoom, recruiting and managing volunteers where necessary.

• Send personalised thank-you communications and updates to individual supporters, manage ongoing engagement with regular donors, and oversee the distribution of physical milestone cards to celebrate significant achievements.

Communications:

• Create and curate a calendar of multimedia content to increase engagement and audience reach through digital and traditional marketing materials, social media posts, e-newsletters, and our website.

• Support the development and management of Village Water’s website, ensuring content and architecture are up to date, consistent, and engagingly showcase our work, current campaigns, news stories and calls to action.

• Lead on the development of paid for digital campaigns including budgeting, A/B testing, asset creation, copywriting, and reporting.

• Create a range of digital graphics and assets, including animations, images, videos, banners, and infographics.

• Design printed marketing items - such as reports, leaflets, flyers, banners, and signage.

• Develop a timeline for the ‘comms hub’ remote capacity building for the local partners in Zambia and Mozambique to train in specific comms activities, gather material and share learning.

General   

• Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, external suppliers, and local partners to advance organisational goals. 

• Attend networking events and build relationships that benefit Village Water. 

• Participate in and report during weekly team meetings and, when necessary, at Trustee meetings. 

• Provide assistance for other fundraising initiatives as needed, promoting a collaborative work environment and supporting the overall fundraising efforts of the organisation. 

• Ensure compliance with the organisation's safeguarding policies by completing all required training. 

Skills and experience: 

• Demonstrable success in securing grants, including awards between £20-£100k. 

• Confident and effective communicator with excellent presentation skills, able to engage with a range of supporters in groups, individually, face-to-face, and remotely. 

• Proven experience in writing compelling cases for support and supporter updates that inspire and persuade donors. 

• Experience with Canva, Adobe, Salesforce desirable. 

• Ability to develop, analyse, and interpret budgets and financial information. 

• Strong database skills, including experience in fundraising performance analysis.

Are you a storyteller with a keen eye for detail?

We are looking for a creative written communicator with an excellent eye for detail to tell the story of The Listening Place, our volunteers and our visitors.

The Listening Place offers free, confidential, face-to-face support for people feeling suicidal, provided by highly trained volunteers using active listening skills. Over eight years, the charity has grown rapidly, with now over 800 volunteers delivering up to 150 appointments daily across three sites. TLP receives 750 new referrals every month and will provide support to 8000 people struggling with suicidal feelings this year. This growth, achieved without waiting lists, highlights how TLP balances ambition with a commitment to high-quality, person-centered support. With plans to expand to East London and strong donor and media interest, it’s an exciting time to join this effective, community-led service.

This is a pivotal role where you will be responsible for giving TLP a voice across external and internal communications. Through dependable, precise and creative communications, you will help TLP meet its three key communication objectives:

• To inspire and retain volunteers and supporters.
• To influence public and stakeholder opinion on how to deliver effective suicide prevention services.
• To help recruit new volunteers.

The Communications Coordinator will:

Working under the direction of the Head of Fundraising and Communications, the Communications Coordinator will be responsible for the development, delivery, analysis and growth of TLP’s communications through effective copy for internal and external stakeholders. This includes:

• Leading on day-to-day account management and content creation for organic and paid activity on TLP social media channels.
• Planning and executing activities for national campaigns including World Suicide Prevention Day and Mental Health Week.
• Working with and supporting teams from across the organisation to execute engaging internal and external communications and digital campaigns including monthly volunteer and supporter newsletters.
• To act as a point of contact for teams for communications related queries, maintaining a good understanding of approaches, channels and technologies in order to do this.
• Recognise, mitigate and appropriately escalate communications related incidents and risks including reputation management, information governance and sensitivity issues.
• Regularly reviewing website content, looking for ways to constantly improve user experience.
• Compiling regular monthly statistics and analytical reports, evaluating our online performance against agreed metrics.
• Ensure all records are held in compliance with GDPR and the Institute of Fundraising policies.

Reporting line

Herts Young Homeless is an independent charity and has been supporting vulnerable young people in Hertfordshire since 1998. We are professional, passionate, collaborative and supportive charity that provides guidance to young people in need of support.

Future Roots Supported accommodation is located in Welwyn Garden City. We are looking fo a Supported Accommodation Worker who will support the 5 Housemates to learn the skills they require to live independently, whilst ensuring the accommodation is a safe and homely environment to live in. The role will require a reasonable degree of flexibility, to respond to the needs of the house. This may include changes to working patterns or additional ‘sleep in’ nights’’ paid at an additional rate.’’support.

What will you be doing? 

• Manage a varied caseload with differing timescales and deadlines.

• Be involved in the screening and interview process of potential new Housemates. 

• Build a professional and trusting relationship with the young people to enable to them to engage with the support and improve their situation and prospects. 

• Provide 1-1 and group support and opportunities to learn identified life skills for independent living, using a range of tools and skills, including hyh’s ASDAN training package.

• To identify any risk factors and ensure appropriate measures are in place. 

• Sleep at the accommodation overnight on an adhoc basis and in the case of an emergency or organsiational need.  An additional payment will be made to cover for any overnight shifts required,

• Report any safeguarding (child protection) concerns to your line-manager and refer as appropriate 

• Be part of a team responsible to ensure the property is meeting all requiredstandards, which will include: 

  • Regular Health and Safety checks 

  • Co-ordinating Building maintenance 

  • Risk Assessments 

• To promote and facilitate Youth Engagement across the service

ROLE OVERVIEW

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure AzuKo’s operations and programme delivery are implemented efficiently and effectively.
• Be responsible for overall financial health and administration of AzuKo.
• Ensure AzuKo fulfils its legal, statutory, and regulatory responsibilities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Essential

• Demonstrable track record of operating at leadership level (CEO, or similar) within a small-medium size charity.
• Comprehensive understanding of UK charity administration, finance and regulatory responsibilities (e.g. Charity Commission).
• Experience of working strategically to source, secure and steward sustainable funding (grant income and individual giving) working within tight financial constraints.
• Knowledge of safeguarding legislation and processes, safety, and quality management.
• Comfortable with digital/remote working e.g. use of One Drive, Slack, Zoom.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel) and accounting software Xero.
• Excellent written and communication skills, able to articulate complex ideas in simple language.

The Role

As our Commercial Projects Officer, you will provide administrative support to the Commercial Projects Team for commercial projects and income generation initiatives.

About the Investment Team

The Investment Team is responsible for selecting charity partners, managing our charity investments and supporting our charity partners to improve and scale their impact.

The Investment Team also leads the Impetus Leadership Academy, a leadership development programme to support talent from ethnic minority backgrounds in the UK youth sector to progress into senior leadership roles.

The team is made up of 18 people, including former teachers, charity chief executives, charity impact leads, management consultants, social investment portfolio managers and impact consultants.

The team is led by a Portfolio Director who sits on the Senior Management Team. The Portfolio Director has 5 direct reports: a Deputy Portfolio Director, three Sector Leads (who lead our work in School engagement, School attainment and Employment Sectors) and an Impact Lead. Job description – Investment Director

The Investment Director (ID) is a key member of the Investment Team, playing a leading role in identifying, assessing, and supporting portfolio partner charities and other non-profit organisations to deepen their impact and scale their outcomes. This role works closely with other Investment Directors and Investment Managers to deliver external facing support to portfolio partners as well as internal projects to support the development of the investment model and portfolio strategy.

Investment Directors use strategic thinking, analytical rigour, and senior relationship skills to support a portfolio of amazing organisations that, together, will help shift the life chances and outcomes of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in the UK.

Key responsibilities

Finding high potential charities and non-profit partners for our portfolio

• Identifying potential charitable organisations for investment.
• Leading in-depth due diligence process to assess and build partnership foundations with potential partners – covering leadership and governance, and their impact, scale, and partnership potential.
• Modelling from first contact of origination, our approach to engaged and trust-based investment management support.
• Developing and championing high quality investment propositions to our Investment Committee.

Managing partnerships with portfolio partners

• Managing relationships with partner Chairs and CEOs 
• Agreeing Service Funding Agreements, including appropriate annual investment milestones to allow for a clear assessment of re-investment potential at end of phase 
• Regularly monitoring and assessing partner progress / risks against milestones and making recommendations for progression or exit
• Escalating key risks on performance, leadership and safeguarding
• Conducting annual partnership review with Sector Leads and partner CEOs
• Working with Impetus Finance colleagues to ensure timely distribution of grant payments, in line with Service Funding Agreements.

Supporting portfolio partners

• Providing direct support to CEOs and senior colleagues on key strategic topics, using a mix of at least monthly one-to-one meetings and group facilitation to:

  • achieve a step change in the delivery and performance management of outcomes

About the role

We’re looking for a Legacy Marketing Officer to join our Individual Giving and Legacy Team.

It’s an exciting time to join the Legacy Team as we are embarking on a new era for legacy and in memory giving at Young Lives vs Cancer.  In memory giving and gifts in Wills left to us by our supporters are essential to ensuring we can help generations of children and young people who will sadly be living with a cancer diagnosis. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Legacy Marketing Officer to play a pivotal role in supporting the Legacy Marketing Manager to plan, implement and deliver legacy and in-memory strategies.

The Legacy Officer will work on a range of legacy and in-memory campaigns, materials and supporter centric journeys across multiple channels.  As a team we will maximise legacy and in memory giving and acquire new legacy and in memory supporters, as well as nurturing existing supporters who have expressed an interest in leaving a gift in their Will for the future of Young Lives vs Cancer’s work. 

The role will suit a passionate and creative individual who thrives on working collaboratively and who is able to manage end to end projects and supplier relationships.  There will be a need to analyse data to monitor performance as well as identifying trends and opportunities. Fulfilment mapping is also a key element of the role as well as being comfortable presenting in person to colleagues and suppliers.

What will I be doing?

Your new company
You will be working for a top university that specialises in design and digital media in a buzzypart of London. This university is seeking an Admissions Officer initially until the middle of January, but you must have experience with international student applicants and issuance of CAS. This role is working one day from the office and the rest from home.

Your new role
In this role, you will need to ensure to stay abreast of the latest immigration guidance. You will need to be able to evaluate academic qualifications from overseas and make decisions on non-complex applications within specified deadlines. Ensure admissions processes are operated at all times within the legislative and regulatory requirements, including verifying qualifications and identity documents, detecting potential fraud, carrying out a quality check on every application received. You will need to manage and process applications, application-related enquiries and other forms of correspondence from applicants.
To deliver the CAS issuance process for international students admitted via the recruitment partner, ensuring that high standards of compliance are maintained. The role holder will be required to actively engage with staff from different partnership providers, and will become the trusted operational expert in these areas. Now is an exciting time to join the corporate partnerships team at Blood Cancer UK. We have spent the last two years building and cultivating our pipeline and have seen exciting wins as a result of this work, raising over £5million from the insurance sector.

We have seen record breaking corporate partnerships income in the last two years and we want that growth to continue – but we know there are more opportunities than we can capitalise on with our team the size that it is. The fundraising team has ambitious targets over the next 3 – 5 years, and we won’t reach them if we’re leaving potential partnerships behind.

We’re looking for an ambitious and tenacious new business fundraiser to help us bring new partnerships to the charity, and ultimately raise more money to deliver the change we want to see for people with blood cancer.

You will be an effective fundraiser; someone who can build strong relationships, communicate effectively, and is naturally entrepreneurial. If that’s you, we’d love to hear from you.

Majority of our roles can be performed hybrid which means you will be required to attend the office once a quarter for team meetings and regular travel for donor meetings will be required, currently a lot of our donor meetings are in London.
