About us
Who we are
The Listening Place is an award winning volunteer-led charity, set up in 2016, by a group of volunteers with a great deal of experience in supporting the suicidal.
We provide free, confidential and ongoing face-to-face listening support, by appointment, to people who feel that life is no longer worth living.
We know this support works. Feedback from people who have used our service has been overwhelmingly positive and we have robust evaluation methods that demonstrate that our service helps reduce suicidal feelings and increase feelings of support after an average of four months.
Could you provide suicidal people with face-to-face, non-judgemental support?
We asked some of our volunteers to explain their roles at The Listening Place and the huge difference you could make by applying to join the team, watch our video below!
