About the Programme

The Creative Minds Programme is a six-month initiative promoting mental health and well-being through creative activities like painting, music, writing, and more. Open to adults (over the age of 18) in West Kent, the programme offers inclusive, free sessions led by professional artists and supported by wellbeing workers. Participants need no prior experience, just enthusiasm and a desire to improve their mental health.

Key Objectives include boosting confidence, fostering connections, enhancing life skills, and increasing participants' ability to manage their mental health and support others.

Now in its second year, the programme aims to support 864 adults over three years, with a focus on those with mental health challenges or feelings of loneliness. In addition to creative workshops, the programme offers leadership training to select participants, empowering them to become "Creative Agents." These agents lead "Creative Places" to engage the wider public in community-based creative activities.

The programme is set to conclude in March 2026, with two more rounds of activities still to come.

About the role

Our Creative Minds programme, funded by the National Lottery, is designed to enhance mental health and wellbeing for adults in West Kent through engaging in creative activities. These 24-week programmes are held in various locations across West Kent and are conducted in collaboration with professional artists, local arts organisations, and our Creative Agents, supported by the West Kent Mind community wellbeing team.

The programme leverages creativity to support mental health and wellbeing.

We are seeking an Independent Evaluator to assess the effectiveness of the Creative Minds Programme, a three-year initiative supported by the National Lottery Community Fund.

Following a successful first year, the evaluator will use various methodologies to evaluate:

Effectiveness and how well the programme met its objectives and outcomes to include but not limited to:

• Impact: Short- and long-term effects on clients' mental health and well-being.
• Accessibility and Inclusivity: Measures taken to ensure activities are accessible to all.
• Collaborators: Engagement levels among staff, volunteers, artists, clients, and partners.
• Public Outcomes: Community engagement with programme results.
• Challenges and Lessons Learned: Identification of challenges and strategies used, with insights for future projects.

Methodology will include a mixed approach using surveys, interviews, observations, case studies, and data analysis, including metrics from the Short Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale (SWEMWBS).

Deliverables:

• Evaluation plan with data collection tools.
• Interim report (May 2025) with preliminary findings and adjustments.
• Final report (March 2026) detailing programme impact, challenges, and recommendations.
• Presentation of findings to the National Lottery Community Fund.

Who you are

All previous experience may be paid or voluntary, full or part-time, in the UK or overseas.

Applicants are expected to demonstrate the following:

· Proven experience in evaluating arts and health programmes or similar community-based initiatives.

· Strong knowledge and understanding of creativity, the arts, and mental health, either independently or in collaboration.

· Ability to conduct an inclusive evaluation process, working effectively with a diverse range of adults.

· Awareness of safeguarding practices.

Terms and Conditions

Freelance Fee: An inclusive fee of £8000 (inc. VAT). The fee is inclusive of all expenses related to the successful candidate’s time, travel, data collection, analysis, and reporting.

The role

As Head of Fundraising and Engagement you will be part of the senior leadership team and you will play a key role in both developing and delivering an effective fundraising growth strategy. You will work with the Head of Finance to set budgets and forecasts and you will ensure that each member of the team is enabled to achieve their targets. About You
You will have had extensive experience within the third sector preferably across multiple income streams, some experience of Marketing and Communications would be desirable too. You will be able to demonstrate that you have grown income significantly as well as be able to show that you have had experience in developing and implementing a fundraising strategy. You will have experience of managing a team including staff and volunteers.

You will be able to show that you have had experience in forecasting and working towards financial targets as well as proven experience in managing a team. Experience in working with a CRM System is also desirable as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.

About the role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our bank of casual workers as a Welfare Officer, providing cover as required for the SSAFA RAF Service across the UK.

Our Bank Welfare Officers will provide direct and impactful welfare support to RAF personnel and their immediate family on an ad hoc basis when a full-time member of the team is unavailable to do so.

We also support people to retain their employment when they are struggling at work due to their mental health. We also advise and support employers about mental health in the workplace. Your challenge? To do everything you can to help the individuals we work with to source appropriate work experience placements with local organisations/employers. Day to day, you’ll offer support, careers advice and guidance, helping people to set their own recovery and employment focused goals and provide training in personal and skills development such as CV preparation, interview techniques etc. You’ll also be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive links with community mental health teams and have the initiative to develop and promote the service. Additionally, you will have responsibility for maintaining efficient admin systems to ensure referrals, assessments and reviews are completed in a timely manner.

As well as a good understanding of mental health problems and the issues and barriers this can create for our clients, you’ll need excellent motivational, presentation and listening skills and a willingness to travel in the local area and to work outside of office hours as required.

This is a permanent full-time role requiring the post holder to work 37.5 hours per week.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Live Music Coordinator in the North of England to support the delivery of live music experiences improving the health and wellbeing of children and adults through the healing power of live music.

This is remote working role in the North of England, so please only apply if you live within a commutable distance of the area.

Position: Live Music Coordinator

Location: Remote based in the North of England (Yorkshire and Humberside, North West or North East).

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £23,400 per annum

Contract: Fixed term contract until end of June 2025, with the potential to extend beyond this date.

The Role

The Live Music Coordinator will facilitate the delivery of live music experiences across the North of England, improving the health and wellbeing of children and adults through the healing power of live music.

You will work with professional musicians to share live music with people who may not otherwise get to experience it, organising programmes with partner organisations, in line with the organisation’s strategy and operational plan.

You will also support the delivery of the annual programme of live music experiences communicating with hospitals, hospices, care homes and the community. This includes those living with dementia, who have mental health problems, or who are seriously ill.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

• Coordination of the live music programme
• Prepare reports and appropriate feedback to the Live Music Manager and support to the Fundraising and Communications team as per the reporting timeframes required
• Inform the Live Music Manager of progress and developments
• Support the Live Music Manager to manage and deliver services
• Encourage, collate and monitor feedback reports from healthcare centres, participants and musicians
• Ensure effective administration in accordance with the UK-wide system for facilitating and contracting of individual health and care settings and musicians
• Provide copy for publications such the newsletter and Annual Report.
• Support Safeguarding and Health and Safety compliance within geographic area of responsibility

You will have proven administration experience ideally delivering a similar provision within health and social care or arts setting and a passion for live music.

You will have:

• Effective communication skills
• Good knowledge and understanding of data protection
• Proficiency in using MS Office and database systems
• Proven ability to form good working relationships both internally and externally with people on all levels

The charity seeks to give joy through live music through the provision of live music sessions for people receiving care or treatment in healthcare settings across the UK, including those who are vulnerable, the elderly, those with dementia and in critical care.

About the role:

We are looking for a qualified Nurse to work as an Admission and Discharge Coordinator Nurse in the Hospice based multi-disciplinary Specialist Palliative Care In Patient Unit. The purpose of the role is to ensure a smooth transition for patients as they arrive and when they are discharged from the In-Patient Unit. You will work alongside the Multi-Disciplinary Team to provide holistic, person-centred care and support.

The Volunteer Coordinator for WeSwim is a key role responsible for recruiting and onboarding volunteers to support all our activities and events, ensuring a positive and rewarding experience for all. Key Responsibilities:

• Volunteer recruitment & training: Develop and implement a marketing and outreach plan to  to attract new volunteers. Create marketing materials to advertise volunteer opportunities & use data to inform recruitment activity. Manage onboarding of volunteers including interviews, DBS and references. Organise and run induction sessions for new volunteers.
• Volunteer management & support: Maintain an up-to-date database of volunteers, including contact information, availability, and skills. Schedule and assign volunteers to sessions based on their availability & monitor attendance. Serve as the main point of contact for all volunteers, addressing enquiries and resolving any issues. Work with Club Committees (lead volunteers) to foster a positive and inclusive environment for volunteers, encouraging teamwork and community spirit.
• Marketing & Communications: Develop social media marketing and email communications to support recruitment and retention of volunteers in line with strategy.
• Setup of new swimming clubs: Scope & contact future pool partners, develop and deliver engagement plans to recruit new volunteers and swimmers to attend the club when it opens in partnership with WeSwim team. 
• Stakeholder engagement: Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders including: local authorities, community organisations, disability charities & sports clubs. Represent WeSwim at community events, meetings, and public engagements. Develop and implement strategies to increase the club’s visibility and reputation in the community. 

Skills & Experience:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Marketing and social media experience.
Strong organisational, administrative, and project management skills.
Experience in volunteer coordination or a related field.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Development of project plans and use of data.

Requirements:
This role is remote with travel across London. The post holder should be London based.

We are looking for someone on a 2 year fixed term contract to support CCT, as we engage in a programme of significant digital change, with our core information management systems under active review and development. The complaint processing of personal data is fundamental to delivering our business objectives and will be a crucial deliverable for our Digital Transformation Programme.

The Compliance officer will be instrumental in ensuring CCT complies with best practice in relation to the storage and use of people’s personal information, ensuring compliance with the relevant GDPR regulations and will also be responsible for ensuring that the CCT’s policies and procedures are compliant with the relevant Government Functional Standards as well as following good practice in relation to its governance policies and procedures.

The post holder will work with every team, at all levels across CCT, to help embed a risk-based approach to data protection and decision-making, championing both the intent of data protection law and effective operational outcomes; adopting best recommended practice where there is ambiguity about minimal compliance requirements.
