This pivotal role will lead the strategic direction for Cosmic’s community and challenge event fundraising. You will work directly with the CEO and line-manage the Senior Fundraising Executive to deliver and expand our fundraising portfolio. This includes reviewing and improving existing activities, identifying new opportunities, and creating engaging supporter journeys to maximise fundraising efforts.
As a key leader, you will set and manage significant budgets, oversee operational delivery, and ensure exceptional stewardship of supporters. You’ll proactively monitor trends, conduct competitor analysis, and trial new products and platforms to keep Cosmic’s fundraising portfolio competitive and appealing to supporters.

Role purpose
In this new role, you’ll create and grow fundraising opportunities from businesses, individuals, community groups and grant-giving trusts and foundations to help Cirencester Food Bank realise its aim of ending food poverty.
You'll be at the heart of our local community, bringing our cause to life and building lasting relationships with our stakeholders and the wider Cotswolds Community.
Responsibilities
- You’ll identify and prioritise a pool of potential Trusts and Foundations funders for Cirencester Food Bank and, working with colleagues, you’ll develop authentic, compelling, creative and winning funding bids that can successfully engage new and existing Trusts and Foundations funders.
- You’ll work closely with and support the Head of Cirencester Food Bank and the Foodbank’s Treasurer in maintaining and evolving existing relationships, and seeking and pursuing new funding and grant opportunities.
- You’ll engage with local community groups, associations, events, schools and businesses in order to inform and educate on the causes of, and solutions to food poverty and to grow the Foodbank’s community fundraising reach and income.
- Utilising the knowledge gathered from the local community and the Foodbank, you will provide input into relevant stakeholder groups to help end the need for foodbanks.
- You’ll generate and distribute communications to stakeholders and community groups about the work of the Foodbank, which will include: marketing and information brochures, the Foodbank’s annual food poverty report and other external messaging in written, published social and electronic formats

- Capitalising on your community connections in the local area, you will support the Foodbank’s Operations Manager in raising awareness of the need for food donations if stocks become critically low, or for key campaigns around Harvest and Christmas.
- You’ll work with colleagues to support client engagement to ensure stories and case studies are captured which help illustrate the charities impact, issues that lead people into food poverty and enable further advocacy, which can then be shared with funders and the wider community.

Key Skills and Experience:
- You’ll have a proven track record of building relationships with individuals, community groups, trusts and foundations and other donors to achieve and exceed annual income targets and Key Performance Indicators.

- You’ll have strong experience of corporate partner and individual giving fundraising.

Duties and Key Responsibilities
1. Content development:
- Work with the Information and Content Officer to research, write, edit and produce new information materials including print publications, web pages, videos, infographics and social media content.
- Work in line with Sarcoma UK’s information production process, including:
- Liaise with clinical experts and lived experience reviewers throughout the content development process
- Maintain formal systems within the information production process in line with the PIF tick quality mark

Job Purpose
The Fundraising Manager will work closely with the CEO to execute the fundraising strategy for Child’s i Foundation, with a focus on driving regular giving, community fundraising, and individual giving initiatives. Additionally, you will support the CEO in cultivating major gifts and managing corporate partnerships.
You will play a key role in providing collaborative support to our emerging fundraising effort in Uganda, particularly with their innovative 'Giving Circle' programme, which is backed by the Ugandan Board. Key Responsibilities:
Media and PR

The person in this role will strategically lead the Hospice lottery to maximise income through developing new approaches and increasing its profile whilst ensuing full Gambling Commission compliance. Key Responsibilities:

Person Specification:
• Proven, long term track record of delivering successful income generation campaigns and activity in a business or charity – ideally relating to charity lotteries.

Demelza is a children’s hospice which supports children and young people with serious or life-limiting conditions, and their families, across Kent, South East London and East Sussex. Hours:
This is a part time position of 22.5 hours per week (0.6 FTE), worked between Monday and Friday over a minimum of three days, with the working pattern to be agreed.
From 1st July 2024 we are piloting a four day working week across the whole of the UK organisation. This pilot is planned to run for 12 months, at which point a decision will be made by our Board of Trustees as to whether this will become permanent. Success of the trial relies on the organisation being able to achieve the same or improved level of impact in four working days as five, with staff experiencing either the same or improved levels of wellbeing.
During the four-day week pilot, this position will remain at 22.5 hours per week, worked between Monday and Thursday over a minimum of three days, with the working pattern to be agreed. With the organisation's full-time hours changed to 30 from 37.5 during the four-day week pilot, this role will be 0.75 FTE during the trial, with the salary increased accordingly to £26,903.
This will constitute a temporary change to the successful candidate's contractual terms. If a return to a five-day week is decided, the FTE and salary will revert to 0.6 and the equivalent pro rata amount of £21,523. In the event that THL UK considers before the end of the trial period that the trial is having an adverse operational impact, we reserve the right to bring the trial to end on one month’s notice.
