About the Role:
This role is crucial in the long-term retention and growth of our partnership revenue streams. The role requires strong interpersonal, negotiation, and project management skills to maintain and nurture mutually beneficial strategic alliances to enhance Urban Synergy’s capacity and reach. What You'll Do:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential Corporate partners within FTSE 250.
Develop and implement a partnership strategy to enhance financial support and resources for Urban Synergy programmes.
Develop tailored partnership packages that align with the philanthropic priorities and interests of our Corporate partners.
Prepare compelling and professionally written proposals and presentations to potential corporate partners. Ensure they are aligned with the interests of potential partners.
Effectively communicate the impact and benefits of partnerships to prospective sponsors.
Lead negotiations and finalise partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with Urban Synergy's values and goals.
Work with legal and finance teams to ensure contract compliance.
Collaborate with programme managers to ensure seamless integration of corporate partnerships into Urban Synergy's initiatives.
Provide regular updates to the leadership team on partnership progress and outcomes.
Work closely with the finance team to manage and report on the financial aspects of corporate partnerships.
Ensure budgetary alignment with partnership goals and objectives.
Who we are looking for:
Proven experience in a partnership development or similar role, preferable within the non-profit sector.
Bachelors’ Degree in Business, management, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

About the Role:
This new position will drive our income generation efforts through various channels and initiatives. You will develop and implement business development strategies to attract financial support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and potential donors. The role will proactively engage with donors, build relationships, and cultivate partnerships to create and maximise income generation to support our mission and programmes.
What You'll Do:
Drive development of Urban Synergy’s presence in business FTSE 250 and others, through successful inbound and outbound prospect and client engagement.
Research and identify potential funding sources, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and grant opportunities to build a meaningful opportunity pipeline.
Create comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with Urban Synergy’s organisational goals and mission.
Create, implement and manage fundraising campaigns and initiatives to maximise income generation.
Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential donors.
Develop donor cultivation plans, including personalised communications, events, and stewardship activities.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective donor engagement and recognition and explore new partnership opportunities.

Who we are looking for:
Someone with substantial and demonstrable experience of working with corporates within FTSE 250 and the commercial sector. This includes proactively acquiring new partnerships and maximising existing relationships, including how to access the decision makers.
Have excellent presentation and negotiating skills, representing the charity in a range of settings and to a range of audiences.
Be a self-starter with strong sales and influencing skills, Able to work independently in particular in developing corporate fundraising products and tools.
Degree in Business, nonprofit management, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

JOB PURPOSE

BACKGROUND
The External Communications Officer forms part of the Communications and Engagement Directorate, reporting into the Senior External Communications Manager. Given the growth of the Institute, the external communications officer would join a busy team in a vibrant and energetic communications and marketing department. The postholder manages a wide portfolio of projects, announcements and collaborations, working with stakeholders and partner organisation at the local, national and international level. The External Communications Officer will provide proactive comms planning and project management, media support, advice and expertise on matters relating to the Institute’s external communications.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
We’re seeking a candidate with strong written & oral communication skills and demonstrable experience of collaborating with peers & technical experts to create engaging, insight driven communication plans. You should have strong knowledge of current communication industry trends and experience in working with the media in a press office or communications environment. External communications
- Support priority Turing projects (such as our grand challenges) by being a key contact point for research teams, providing trusted advice and working with your colleagues in the wider comms and engagement directorate to create and deliver related communications plans

We are looking for a creative written communicator with an excellent eye for detail to tell the story of The Listening Place, our volunteers and our visitors.
The Listening Place offers free, confidential, face-to-face support for people feeling suicidal, provided by highly trained volunteers using active listening skills. Over eight years, the charity has grown rapidly, with now over 800 volunteers delivering up to 150 appointments daily across three sites. TLP receives 750 new referrals every month and will provide support to 8000 people struggling with suicidal feelings this year. This growth, achieved without waiting lists, highlights how TLP balances ambition with a commitment to high-quality, person-centered support. With plans to expand to East London and strong donor and media interest, it’s an exciting time to join this effective, community-led service.
This is a pivotal role where you will be responsible for giving TLP a voice across external and internal communications. Through dependable, precise and creative communications, you will help TLP meet its three key communication objectives:
- To inspire and retain volunteers and supporters.
- To influence public and stakeholder opinion on how to deliver effective suicide prevention services.
- To help recruit new volunteers.
All your copy should be clear, concise and help deliver against one of these key objectives.

The Communications Coordinator will:
Working under the direction of the Head of Fundraising and Communications, the Communications Coordinator will be responsible for the development, delivery, analysis and growth of TLP’s communications through effective copy for internal and external stakeholders. This includes:
- Leading on day-to-day account management and content creation for organic and paid activity on TLP social media channels.
- Planning and executing activities for national campaigns including World Suicide Prevention Day and Mental Health Week.
- Working with and supporting teams from across the organisation to execute engaging internal and external communications and digital campaigns including monthly volunteer and supporter newsletters.
- To act as a point of contact for teams for communications related queries, maintaining a good understanding of approaches, channels and technologies in order to do this.
- Recognise, mitigate and appropriately escalate communications related incidents and risks including reputation management, information governance and sensitivity issues.
- Regularly reviewing website content, looking for ways to constantly improve user experience.
- Compiling regular monthly statistics and analytical reports, evaluating our online performance against agreed metrics.

The Digital Communications Officer will report to the Head of Fundraising and Communications.
Salary: £17,955 per annum (£29,255 FTE) at 3 days a week plus benefits (3% employer contribution towards pension, 25 days annual leave (FTE) per annum (plus public holidays), Employee Assistance Programme, access to Medicash health insurance and critical illness cover.)

About the role
We're looking for a motivated Marketing Executive to join our team.
You will be providing creative and administrative support of our marketing communications as well as co-ordinating our marketing activity.
If you are passionate about raising awareness of our values and the empowerment of individuals to make their voices heard when it matters most, then this role is for you.
This position is a full-time, 35 hours a week, 6-month fixed term contract with a starting salary between £22,500 - £29,500 per annum pro-rata depending on skills and experience. We are open to a conversation about flexible working or job sharing.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced fundraising professional who is looking for a new challenge and who can hit the ground running in this exciting new role. Therefore, you will have a strong track record of professional, broad fundraising experience from a relevant charity sector along with lots of enthusiasm and creativity.
This fundraising role will have a special focus on public fundraising and developing our fast-growing community of 3,000+ members and developing and engaging this natural group of supporters.
We are looking for someone who is flexible and has experience of a wide variety of types of fundraising including community fundraising, partnerships, trusts and grants.
To be successful, you will be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, and you will be able to apply these skills across all channels including social media. This role will sit within our marketing team and work closely with digital marketing and the wider marketing team as well as the senior leadership team.
Days and Hours:

- Our normal office hours are 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday but we can be flexible on hours worked to fit around other life commitments.
What you could be doing:
- Lead public fundraising campaigns working closely with our marketing team including social media campaigns and web donations.
- Identifying new funding opportunities - spot opportunities and write compelling proposals and drive ongoing engagement to increase our income to the zoo.
- Writing grant applications to relevant trusts and organisations and working with colleagues to develop projects for funding.
- Lead on fundraising through our membership and on-site fundraising including contactless payment and QR codes.
- Be a driving force for the recruitment and retention of members - growing our community of supporters.
- Communication and development of our membership community including emails, newsletters, and occasional events.
- Ensure compliance with good fundraising practices.
- Development of other fundraising initiatives as required.
Skills and Experience:
- At least 3 years working in a professional fundraising role.
- A strong tract record of leading successful fundraising campaigns.
- Ideally experience of membership or supporter development.
- Sound knowledge of the charity sector.
- Passionate about animals, wildlife, and conservation.
- Creativity and persuasion skills.
- Excellent written and vernal communication skills.
- Understanding of GDPR and data protection regulations.
- A full UK driving licence.
Salary: £32,000 per annum (full-time).

The role
