We are looking for a talented and creative Christian Graphic Designer to join our UK-based production team and help us deliver high-quality, visually compelling content across various platforms.

Role Overview:

As a Graphic Designer at Elam, you will play an essential role in shaping the visual identity of our resources and brands. You will design innovative and attractive materials for both our donor-facing content (primarily in English) and user-facing materials (in Farsi). You will collaborate with a global team and contribute to the design of print materials, websites, mobile apps, and social media platforms. Your creative expertise will ensure that our message is communicated effectively and that our designs are purposeful, high-quality, and in line with Christian values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design engaging visuals for print, digital platforms (websites, apps), and social media.

• Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, programmes, and development) to develop design concepts that align with our brand message.

• Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for web and app designs, ensuring user-centered, aesthetically pleasing layouts.

• Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a high standard of visual quality.

• Prepare final files for production and digital deployment, ensuring they are optimised for both print and digital platforms.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, UX/UI best practices, and Adobe Suite tools.

• Focus on creating designs that are both functional and beautiful, particularly in web and app design.

• Participate in design reviews, offering constructive feedback and refining designs based on input.

Job Purpose

This is an exciting time to be joining Barnsley CVS and the development of its volunteer offer, working closely with the Barnsley Refugee Advice Project to ensure best practice.

The main purpose of the role is to facilitate better integration of refugee’s, migrants, and asylum seekers into community life in Barnsley using the vehicle of volunteering as a means of supporting this.

You will be responsible for building a strong and trusted relationship with the refugee and asylum seeking community; ensuring potential volunteers are well supported to easily access volunteer roles in Barnsley and playing a significant role in community cohesion. You are likely to provide support through 1-1 support, small group sessions or carefully worded website adverts and information.  Alongside this, you will work closely with voluntary and community sector groups to help them develop appropriate opportunites, ensure good practice and create a network of trusted organisations.

Main duties

Individual support

· Providing direct support to individuals from Barnsley refugee, migrant and asylum-seeking community to find community-based volunteering roles

Support to organisations

· To work with organisations to ensure that volunteer policies and procedures are inclusive

The Digital Marketing Manager will be accountable for the performance of our website, email, SEO, CRM, PPC and paid social, ensuring all our digital channels are optimised for both awareness and income generation. This hands-on role will see you lead the team to implement, deliver and evaluate exceptional and effective digital activity, using data and insight to inform decisions. 5 billion people do not have access to safe, affordable surgical and anaesthesia care when needed. Can you help us address this neglected area of global health care?

Surgery and anaesthesia have a fundamental and growing impact on global health outcomes. Surgical intervention could address at least 30% of the global burden of disease, and yet the poorest 33% of people receive just 3.5% of all surgery. Post-operative mortality rates 1,000 times higher than in some high-income countries can be found in parts of the world where surgery and anaesthesia have been neglected, and in some countries as many as 90% of anaesthetic departments do not have the equipment to provide a safe anaesthetic for a child.

Purpose of Role

In your role of Communications Officer, you will contribute to the delivery of WFSA’s objectives by helping to implement advocacy and communications strategies.

You will report to the Head of Advocacy & Communications and liaise regularly with the rest of the small staff team in the Secretariat. The Secretariat works with and supports a much larger team of expert volunteers around the world.  Relationships with Member Societies and our Board and Council will also be important, and an ability to interact across a range of stakeholders is essential.

You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of WFSA’s communications, advocacy and digital learning strategy. You will strengthen WFSA by:

• Supporting the Head of Advocacy & Communications in the delivery of all aspects of our communications, advocacy and digital learning strategy.
• Maintaining and enhancing the WFSA website.
• Developing ideas and creating visual and written content for our website, social platforms, and other outlets.
• Helping to manage and expand our social media presence.
• Developing materials for our fundraising and marketing activities.
• Event coordination (this may include some national and international travel to support events).

Main Responsibilities

· Assisting the CEO and the Executive Team Members in the development and delivery of the Society’s many activities and projects to ensure all tasks are being completed within timelines, effectively and to high standards

· Supporting the Conferences and Events Manager in the development and running of an extensive programme of network events and workshops, and the Society’s annual conference

· Promoting the Society and its events on social media platforms including LinkedIn, Bluesky, and X

We are searching for a Communications and Project Assistant to join our team. You will be working with our Brand and Communications Team to craft on-brand communications across our social media platforms and website. In this role, you will support the implementation of our communications strategy and develop content on our website, all whilst following our visual identity and tone-of-voice guidelines. The Communications Lead will be responsible for our digital and social channels, developing compelling content and copy, as well as managing our media presence and working with journalists to secure coverage of our messages, research and reports.  There’s no such thing as a typical day: you could be involved in everything from creating a social post to explain the implications of a new policy, advising the team on new content ideas for the website, liaising with a national newspaper to comment on breaking news or managing the design of a key report for policymakers.

About the candidate

1. Previous experience in a focused communications role managing digital, social and media relations. This could be in an agency, NGO, government department or in-house.

2. Experience of developing strategic communications and developing new ideas and approaches based on insights or evidence.

3. Experience of working with journalists and core understanding of how the media works and what makes a good story.

4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to express complicated messages simply and with authority.

5. Experience and understanding of web publishing tools (e.g. WordPress, Craft, Drupal) for content creation and editing

6. Proven ability and experience with building and maintain professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including journalists, partner organisations, contractors and health professionals.

7. A good level of software expertise, including MS Office packages and web-based platforms. Knowledge and experience of Adobe Creative Suite and Canva an advantage.

8. A flexible approach to working and a willingness to support colleagues across the organisation

9. Strong organisational skills – including excellent record keeping, and an ability to independently manage workload and work to deadlines, while responding to current events.

10.  Enthusiasm for, and commitment to, the aims and objectives of ASH and an interest in public health more broadly. Understanding of policy influencing and government relations would be an advantage, but not essential.

The opportunity

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic communications professional to help us build on our communications effort. The main aim of our communications work is to support our fundraising drive. The core focus of the role is to help our supporters feel part of a movement that is funding cutting edge neurological research. 

We enjoy a solid base of support with c26,000 engaged individuals across a range of audience segments including cash donors (c3,000), regular givers (c4,000), events and community (c3,000), patients and our wider non-donor community (c16,000). Our primary communications channels are our website, Facebook, Instagram and via email. 

We are looking to put renewed energy behind our communications work and seeking to maximise our digital engagement. This includes both promoting fundraising opportunities and using social channels as a means of interacting with, and taking queries from, supporters and the wider public. 

Our work in fundraising is designed to maximise funds needed for research to help the one in six of us that has a neurological condition.

We are heading into the final year of our current strategy, 2023-2026. This has been developed with growth in mind. We are scaling up some of our fundraising activities following successful tests. We are looking for someone to build up and maintain our library of inspiring stories – including written format, film and images - to showcase impact, share people’s experiences and inspire others to tell their own story and/or support our work.

The role requires an individual who is proactive, happy to get “hands on” and is keen to use their communications skills to support our fundraising effort. 

If successful in securing this role, you will find yourself in a small but dynamic environment with a flat structure where decisions are taken quickly. The role reports to the Director of Fundraising (currently being covered by a trusted interim with lots of fundraising and comms experience). 

I use my role as CEO to champion fundraising and communications and ensure that we maintain our current focus on building our strengths and ensuring that supporters feel valued and recognised. We are a collaborative team with a positive culture that has a fundraising ethos at its heart. There is scope to experiment, and to grow in the role. Our interim director is extremely experienced and will provide support and mentoring as required.

·Work with our fundraising team to optimise our digital communications, ensuring content is always engaging, up to date and accessible across all channels

·Manage our story library, including permissions and all related images, and ensure we have a spread of stories across the three main focus areas of brain tumours, acquired brain injury and headache and facial pain

About This Role

Over the next three years, Smart Works Leeds want to expand and embed the service we offer within the Bradford district. Reaching unemployed women in Bradford is integral to our mission of increasing the number of women we support in 2025 and beyond.

Thanks to a successful grant application from Yorkshire Building Society Foundation, we now have the funding to expand the team and enhance our strategy. We are looking for a Partnerships and Engagement Coordinator to join us and support this exciting growth.

The Partnerships and Engagement Coordinator will work closing with our fundraising and outreach teams to cultivate and manage relationships with new and existing stakeholders whose involvement could benefit the objective to reach and support more women in Bradford.
