We are seeking a part-time Head of Finance to join our Operational Leadership Team (OLT) for three days a week.

You will have a compassionate heart and be deeply motivated by your evangelical Christian faith, with a passion to serve your persecuted family in Christ.

You will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) to identify the level of internal and external resource that is required to develop a hybrid delivery model to operate financial management in the most effective and efficient way possible.

Your proven track record and experience of operational financial management will ensure the accurate delivery of this, as well as oversight of the day-to-day financial operations. Your clear communication skills and accounting qualifications, knowledge and experience will enable you to convey financial information in a practical and insightful way to a number of different audiences that have varying levels of financial understanding.

The Senior Fundraising Officer will work closely with colleagues across the charity and its stakeholders to ensure we have the funds to deliver our strategy for nature's recovery. With a passion and interest in the natural environment, you'll play a key role in developing impactful relationships which inspire significant support from businesses and individuals.

You will enjoy working with a diverse team to research opportunities, develop relationships and proposals for a dynamic and interesting program of nature recovery and nature-based solutions initiatives, including: nature reserve management and habitat restoration, wildlife species recovery, nature-based health and wellbeing, river restoration and community action on climate change.

Job description 

Following a restructure, DMI is looking to recruit a Grants Management Officer. This new role will provide a critical link between DMI’s national teams, HQ staff, and donors. It is an ideal role for somebody wanting to work in international development / public health as you will be exposed to a broad range of tasks and will work across all of DMI’s projects. You will also have exposure to DMI’s Africa Leadership Group, a new committee that aims to exploit the knowledge and experience of our national leadership. To succeed, you will need to be well-organised and a highly proficient writer (in English). You will also need to have the confidence and interpersonal skills to liaise independently with senior staff in the UK and in DMI’s national offices. 

More specifically, the Grant Management Officer role will include the following responsibilities: 

1. Under the direction of the Head of Operations, collating, revising, and submitting project reports to donors and other stakeholders. This will require regular collaboration with DMI’s national teams (who will typically draft the reports) and other staff at DMI HQ 

1. Assisting with the effective and efficient implementation of procurement processes across the organisation, ensuring that goods and services are acquired in accordance with DMI’s and donor’s requirements 

1. Assisting national teams, and relevant staff at DMI HQ, in ensuring that project activities are in compliance with donor guidelines, contractual obligations, and any relevant statutory or legal constraints 

1. Ensuring DMI maintains thorough and consistent project documentation 

1. Helping to ensure effective collaboration between departments at HQ to support project execution by DMI’s national teams

OVERVIEW

The Masonic Charitable Foundation is looking for an experienced adviser to join our frontline Advice, Support & Enquiries Team managing all enquiries via the advice line and electronic/mail channels. Each month we receive hundreds of phone calls and emails from people who need our help. The team’s Advisers are often the first point of contact with the MCF and play a key role in our grants process.

You will need excellent customer service skills, a high level of personal resilience, ability to quickly build a good rapport with callers and be a team player who is willing to support colleagues and prioritise the needs of the team. Previous experience in a comparable role is desirable.

Day to day responsibilities include answering calls and responding to emails from individuals and families for a range of support (including daily living costs, health and care and education), liaising with our Advice and Support Advisers and Visiting Volunteers, awarding grants for counselling and consultations and keeping the grants system up to date.

The team is based in our central London office on the edge of Covent Garden, with hybrid working available

Role Requirements

• Working alongside the Head of Public Fundraising, you will strengthen and implement business planning, pipeline and budgeting processes as well as devise comprehensive audience-led stewardship plans, maintaining momentum and focus to achieve targets.

Income Generation and Development Officer

We are looking for an experienced individual who will:

• Contribute to the development of an overarching fundraising plan
• Review and develop current fundraising channels and plan, support and deliver imaginative fundraising activities

Rainbow Migration, the longest-running charity in Europe dedicated to supporting LGBTQI+ people through the asylum and immigration system, is recruiting a Legal Officer to advise and help improve the representation of LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum and help change the asylum and immigration system to one that treats everyone with compassion, dignity and respect.

We are looking for a qualified solicitor or barrister with valid practising certificate, or already accredited to Level 3 OISC, with two years’ experience in providing advice and representation in asylum including working in legal aid.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the legal advice service. Under the guidance of our Legal Service Manager, you will also build capacity amongst legal representatives by designing and delivering training, giving second tier advice and developing and coordinating a network of practitioners working in this area. You will use the knowledge you gain in this role to help deliver Rainbow Migration’s policy work, such as inputting into policy papers and meeting with partner organisations when required.

We will also consider applications from people who do not want to do the policy elements of the job, but to instead focus on first and second tier advice. Please mention in your covering letter if you are applying for this option.

This is a unique opportunity to build on your experience as a lawyer to improve representation across the sector and create change in government policy and practice. You will be supported to develop as a specialist lawyer and in your policy skills.

Responsibilities will include:

· Deliver one-off advice to adult LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum and work with colleagues to refer them to quality legal aid and pro bono lawyers

· Provide casework assistance e.g. helping to prepare witness statements, making referrals to other specialist organisations and taking other urgent steps (whilst not representing service users or maintaining a caseload)

· Provide occasional advice (within competence) on other issues affecting asylum and partnership service users such as asylum support, legal aid, trafficking, family reunion or community care

· Deliver second tier advice to the legal representatives of LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum and other charities and professionals

· Work with the Legal Service Manager to design and deliver training to lawyers, NGOs and other professionals

· Write blogs and articles on asylum and immigration policy and legislation as they apply to LGBTQI+ people

· Contribute to policy and briefing papers

· Assist with preparing guidelines and briefings for legal services and pro bono lawyers

The Legal Officer will not be providing direct legal representation of service users. However, the role includes substantive advice and casework within the scope of legal support and referrals for our service users, as well as merits testing and second tier advice.

Job purpose

As a Senior Policy Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the policy influencing work of Runnymede across a wide range of areas. Your responsibilities will involve researching and developing evidence-based policy positions, drafting briefings in priority areas and supporting with policy reports, while working closely with other members of the team to contribute to organisational initiatives. A key part of this role will involve supporting the Policy Manager and Head of Policy in managing the Runnymede’s Parliamentary engagement, which includes monitoring ongoing legislation, organising Parliamentary events and managing the Secretariat for the All Party Parliamentary Group on Race and Community. 

This is a challenging position that requires strong organisational skills, an ability to navigate high-stakes environments, and a keen understanding of policy nuance within the shifting landscape of race and social justice. You will be integral to shaping and advancing Runnymede’s anti-racist agenda and will thrive on collaboration and learning in a responsive and dynamic environment.

The Community Engagement Department enables our student community leaders to gain the knowledge, skills and connections for themselves and their student communities to thrive.  

Working with staff across the Community Engagement Department, the Training Coordinator works closely with the Training Manager to support staff to design and deliver high quality, impactful training for our 3000 student community leaders across 400+ student groups, 1000 student representatives, and our 6 full-time elected Student Officers, among other student communities. 

The Training Coordinator will support specialist staff across KCLSU to design and deliver a range of training spanning the breadth of community leadership, including but not limited to: student group management, event management, facilitation skills, volunteer management, project management, assessing impact, health & safety and safeguarding, effective representation, influencing & campaigning, community organising, protecting student rights, inclusion & accessibility, among others. 

This role forms a crucial element of the KCLSU and KCL Leadership Learning Initiative, a joint project designed to foster leadership skills among students, particularly those from under-represented backgrounds.

Job Specification

Student-facing Training 

- Lead the operational planning and delivery of our student-facing training programmes, including training our student group leaders, our elected sabbatical officers and our academic representatives, among others 
- Work with relevant staff across KCLSU to implement the KCLSU Training Strategy and share and promote best practice across the organisation 
- Work with relevant KCLSU teams to ensure consistency across student-facing training and ongoing guidance and support through the Community Development Framework and the Services Framework, and ensuring consistency with policy and compliance

Training Design & Development 
- Develop best practice guidance for training design and delivery in line with the KCLSU Training Strategy. 
- With oversight of all training content, work with the Training Manager to ensure we are utilising efficient and effective methods of delivery. 
- Apply a process for assessing learner needs to ensure training is accessible for all, implementing adaptive approaches to training that mitigate barriers to engagement
- Ensure our training content is engaging and reflective of our diverse student membership. 
- Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices 

Service Development 
- Develop the annual operating plans for the Community Engagement Department's Training, ensuring ongoing quality improvement of our training provision in line with KCLSU's strategic plan. 
- Review and improve processes, using staff resources effectively and implementing efficient, sustainable and robust working practices. 
- Monitor key performance indicators, managing processes for measuring and reporting on impact and outcomes. 
- Develop mechanisms for service feedback, consultation and user insight, understanding user needs and perspectives to inform service development.

- Work with key partners at KCL, including the Students and Education Directorate (SED), Dr Michael Flavin and KCL Careers & Employability

The Vacancy

The Methodist Church is at an exciting point in the development of its ministry with young adults (18-30). We are seeking to appoint someone with enthusiasm and passion for seeing young adults connect with God and explore their calling as a follower of Christ.

This role is integral to the delivery of the Young Adult Ministry Development Plan, and will focus on the following priorities:

• The management, development and advocacy of a new Young Adult Mission Placement Scheme, which aims to provide opportunities for young adults to be employed (or volunteer) in mission-focused placements in local churches and circuits where they can explore their vocation.

• Advocating for, supporting and enabling creative and relevant young adult ministry to be started and embedded in circuits and districts by journeying with local circuits/districts, providing advice and mentoring as appropriate to pilot creative projects for young adults to engage with and grow in discipleship and vocation.
