About the Team:
The Supporter Operations Team plays a central role in delivering an exceptional supporter experience, ensuring smooth internal and external fulfilment to maximise supporter engagement in order to meet our ambitious targets.
This role sits within the Supporter Operations sub-team, reporting into the Supporter Operations Manager. The Supporter Operations Team plays a central role in supporting our fundraising teams, to maximise supporter engagement and ensure that the fulfilment of our fundraising appeals, donor thanking and donation processes are carried out correctly and in compliance with all relevant regulations

About the Role:

In this role, you will manage the team’s workload, forecasting expected capacity to ensure that daily, weekly and monthly tasks are planned out and completed in accordance with set KPIs. As well as supporting the Supporter Operations Manager in monitoring & evaluating the performance of the Operations team using reports to investigate any unusual results/trends. 

You’ll also: 

• Bring to the role a keen understanding of supporter response handling, the intricacies of processing donations, Direct Debits, Gift Aid, and communication preferences
• Assist with due diligence processes within the wider SEO team, specifically focusing on internal data security practices, response handling accuracy, and adherence to relevant regulatory requirements such as those for Gift Aid or the BACS scheme for Direct Debits 
• Proactively identify processes for improvement across the Supporter Experience & Operations Team to deliver efficiencies and improve the effectiveness of internal procedures 

• Support campaign managers and other colleagues with any new or existing projects relating to fundraising operations, working closely with internal stakeholders, ensuring requirements are clear and fully documented

• Knowledge of the rules and regulations of Gift Aid, Direct Debit, Data protection and PCI-DSS compliance 
• Strong team player. Proven experience and/ or evidence of providing support/supervision/ training to team members
• Experience of documenting business processes, and comfortable with communicating and influencing a range of stakeholders
• Experience of income processing and donor response handling
• Excellent IT skills (use of Microsoft products, particularly Excel) with ability to analyse data accurately
• High attention to detail with ability to work methodically, ensuring minimal errors, and able to problem solve should errors arise 
• Ability to analyse fundraiser requirements, and capable of providing the best fulfilment solution working with internal stakeholders
• Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to listen, understand, analyse and resolve queries of a technical nature (incl. complex queries). Demonstrate an innovative approach to problem solving with the ability to implement robust solutions, taking into account future requirements
• Excellent time management skills. Proven ability to manage & prioritise own workload, conflicting tasks/ deadlines effectively and successfully

The Senior Public Affairs and Research Officer will drive policy change to increase surplus food redistribution by engaging with stakeholders across government, media, industry, and academia. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence national policy and contribute to meaningful change in the food redistribution sector.

Press Officer

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000, non negotiable and dependent on experience.
Location: This is a remote role, with a requirement to attend the UK Covid 19 Inquiry as frequently as possible when it is sitting, and on key days such as the opening of Modules or when high profile witnesses are called.

About the Role

This role will lead on the day-to-day operation of the accounts receivable, credit control, accounts payable and cash management functions.  You will be required to work closely with the financial controller and other members of the Finance Team to ensure that processing in these areas is complete, accurate and compliant, and supports the timely preparation of management accounts. You will also work with colleagues from across the organisation and key external stakeholders to ensure that income is received, cash is held and monitored following the Charity’s internal financial controls, and all legal and regulatory requirements are complied with.

There will be a need to exercise good leadership and management skills and be able to prioritise and delegate effectively to the Finance Assistants.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the day to day operations of the sales ledger function
• Responsible for ensuring invoices are raised on time and in line with agreements with funders
• Responsible for the collection and recording of all non-rental income, in accordance with the charity’s income and internal controls policies
• Main point of contact for queries regarding non-rental income sales invoices
• Monitor all cash transactions and ensure they are recorded on the Finance system on a timely basis
• To lead on the day to day operations of the purchase ledger function
• To manage the preparation of the weekly payment run, ensuring that all due items are included
• Review nominal ledger activity and post journals for on a timely basis to ensure ledger information is accurate and complete in line with month end timetable
• Responsible for the accurate preparation of month end reconciliations for allocated balance sheet codes including Fixed Assets, bank accounts, debtors, accrued and deferred income

About You

You will need to have the following skills and experience:

· Part-qualified accountant or extensive and demonstrable experience in a variety of financial roles

About the Role

The Assistant Reserves Officer is one of our team managing and developing the Trust’s nature reserves for people and wildlife.  Your work place includes internationally recognised wetlands and woodlands along with nationally important meadows, chalk grasslands and heathland across Hertfordshire and Middlesex.

You will need to have strong experience in practical habitat management, including the use of power tools and machinery, such as chainsaws, brush cutters and BCS mowers. You will have experience of working within a dynamic team and leading volunteers. You will need to have a keen interest in wildlife and preferably a knowledge of the habitats in our area.

No two days are the same as an ARO at HMWT; you will get the opportunity to utilise and develop your practical habitat management skills across our nature reserves including tree felling, coppicing, scrub clearance, hay cutting and pond/ditch management. You will also undertake the maintenance of site infrastructure; assist with the management of livestock; and perform surveying and monitoring of habitat/species, tree safety and infrastructure. These tasks will be delivered working closely with members of the nature reserves team; our volunteer wardens and our practical conservation volunteers.

Willingness to travel throughout our work area and flexibility to work occasional irregular hours is required for this post.

About the Role

As the Senior Communications Officer (content) in the Public Engagement Team, you will be passionate about the rights of young people in the UK. Using your creativity and experience in delivering public-facing communications content and fundraising content you will be instrumental in increasing Depaul UK’s income, profile and influence. Your ability to meaningfully engage and involve young people, staff and volunteers will ensure that their voices are heard and amplified through Depaul UK’s communications and fundraising activity.

You will lead the delivery of communications and fundraising content that increases brand awareness and engages our target audiences to support Depaul UK as donors or in other ways support the organisation. We will expect you to ensure that your content and brand awareness raising activity is consistent with Depaul’s values.

Working closely with internal colleagues as well as external designers, filmmakers, photographers and other agencies, you will actively engage with young people in our services and in the communities we work in to capture their experiences, amplify their voices and develop content and material for our communications and fundraising activity.

Key responsibilities include:
