ABOUT THE ROLE

As our marketing manager, you will have an exciting opportunity to celebrate our youth community, showcase the impact of our services, and highlight the importance of youth work. You will work closely with our Co-Founder and CMO to evolve our marketing and communications strategy, collaborate with our exciting network of youth workers to capture our activities and outcomes for young people and be responsible for line managing our Social Media Manager to advocate for youth work and elevate young voices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who values creativity, communication, and collaboration. As our Marketing Manager you will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing our digital marketing and content strategies
• Developing our website, SEO and online presence
• Capturing and communicating our news, activities and impact across our service streams
• Showcasing employment and training opportunities to our alumni network
• Conducting interviews and producing case studies in line with qualitative contractual requirements
• Delivering recruitment campaigns to reach young participants for our programmes, events and mentoring services
• Documenting workshops, programmes and events
• Working collaboratively with our delivery teams to collate qualitative data in the form of photos, videos and surveys
• Developing leads processes to grow our network of young people, opportunity providers, volunteers and donors.
• Develop systems to improve tracking of referrals into employment via our website and newsletter campaigns.
• Co-producing new resources for our workshops in collaboration with the delivery and mentoring teams
• Communicating news and updates to Spiral's key stakeholders quarterly
• Showcasing employment, training and further education opportunities to our youth network
• Producing analytics reports, monitoring and reviewing performance across our digital landscape
• Promoting and coordinating events and annual career fairs

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED

This is a varied role suitable for candidates with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a Marketing Manager position, preferably at a not-for-profit, charitable organisation or an organisation with an education-to-employment focus. This role requires confident communication, consistent content production and collaboration with our exciting team. Prior Line Management experience is also required to lead the development and training of our Social Media Manager supported by our CMO.

• Digital marketing and content strategy implementation
• Experience with salesforce or like-for-like CRM systems
• Design skills using tools such as Canva and the ability to follow a brand toolkit
• Content production, copywriting and video editing skills

About the role 

As the Licensing Manager, you will work closely with the Head of eCommerce, shaping the strategy and delivering a new part of our eCommerce business, that could become a significant financial income stream for Crisis.

As a new income stream for Crisis, there will be a lot of internal and external stakeholder liaison, development of processes and cross organisational collaboration on external opportunities.

· Explore and increase our income from grant giving trusts and foundations. At times working in fundraising partnerships with support of external consultants and colleagues across the wider Trussell Trust network

· Implement a CRM system to oversee the above aspects.

· Share best practice and learning from other charities across the Trussell network.

· Support our partnership work with other Trussell based foodbanks in Surrey to address poverty.

Through this new organisational role, you will proactively create and grow fundraising income opportunities with individuals, community groups, the faith sector and grant giving trusts and foundations. You'll be at the heart of our local community, bringing our cause to life and building lasting donor relationships.

Through your fundraising expertise, you will have a proven track record of building relationships with individuals, community groups, trusts and foundations and other donors to achieve and exceed annual income targets. This is an exciting time to join our team in the Development, Alumni and Campaigns Office, and we wish to appoint an individual who shares our passion for the future of UEA. You will join a dedicated and enthusiastic team responsible for securing philanthropic income to support the University. Reporting to the Head of Individual Giving, you will build and manage a portfolio of relationships which will advance the activities of the University. You will recruit, cultivate, solicit and manage a portfolio of major donor prospects, to secure 5 - 6 figure donations towards the University’s new £100m fundraising campaign (launching Autumn 2024).

Educated to degree level, or with equivalent relevant qualification or experience, you will possess excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate a high level of achievement in major gift fundraising and/or managing relationships with volunteers and customers. 

This full-time post is available on an indefinite basis.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Sales Manager to support Clean Break’s commercial income generation, managing sales and marketing to maximise income potential. You will bring experience of sales and marketing in the cultural, charitable or social enterprise sector and a proven track record of achieving sales with new and existing customers. Your will understand the close connection of our charitable cause to our need to generate revenue to continue our work.

You’ll have excellent skills in engaging customers, with experience of converting interest into sales and a talent for writing sales copy for different target markets. You’ll have a hands-on approach to sales with experience of working towards targets and will be skilled in monitoring finances for the development of concise reporting and sales projections.

You will be pivotal in securing new business for Clean Break’s training and hires offers, delivering marketing plans that work alongside our creative ambitions and developing lucrative relationships with a variety of organisations and businesses.

ABOUT STRENGTH & STEM

Strength & Stem is a charity that uses floristry to help female modern slavery survivors experience restoration and empowerment. We believe that floristry can be used as a practical tool to help modern slavery survivors build a future for themselves, as well as a therapeutic tool in healing from trauma. Over eight months, we run holistic employability and skills training programmes during which participants undertake vocational floristry training, supplementary skills training, mentorship, and work experience.

The skills and experiences survivors gain through our programmes create a lasting difference for them and their families through economic independence, strengthened wellbeing and increased community. Ultimately, our programmes help survivors to regain dignity and hope and to move into a life of full independence and freedom.

Job title - Finance Manager

Responsible to - CEO

Hours - One day per week (7.5 hours per week). This is a fixed-term role for 12 months. We have a flexible working arrangement, so working hours do not have to be limited to a specific day of the week.

Based - This is a remote role; however, you must have the pre-existing right to work in the UK to be eligible for the position. Some in-person team meetings in central London will be required.

Salary - £35,000 per annum pro rata, equivalent to £7,000 for one day per week

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Finance Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health of the organisation. As the sole end-to-end finance position within Strength & Stem, the Finance Manager will be responsible for all financial activities, including bookkeeping, budgeting, financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the charity's mission.

Your skills and expertise in successful financial management will enable Strength & Stem to establish a stable financial foundation for the future, allowing our impactful and meaningful work with modern slavery survivors to flourish and grow. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Finance Manager to shape and influence the effectiveness and sustainability of a small, ambitious charity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Financial Management:

• Manage day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures with support from the Treasurer.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
• Perform the month-end process.
• Check employee expense claims and post them for payment.
• Compile bank runs and input them for approval.
• Raise any invoices and monitor late payments.

Bookkeeping:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Record and categorise all financial transactions with corresponding receipts in QuickBooks.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly.

Grant and Fund Management:

• Work closely with the Grants Manager to provide financial information for grant proposals and donor reports.
• Support the Grants Manager to manage grant budgets.
• Monitor and track restricted and unrestricted funds and grants to ensure compliance with donor requirements and complete spending.
• Producing receipts for donors and donor statements as required.
• Running and checking Gift Aid reporting to HMRC.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Support the CEO and Treasurer to prepare and monitor the charity’s annual budget.
• Provide financial projections and forecasts to aid Board decision-making.
• Track and report on budget variances.
• Assist the CEO with Budget and cashflow reporting.

Financial Reporting:

• Generate regular financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare monthly management accounts.
• With the Treasurer, ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Audit and Compliance:

• With the CEO, Treasurer and Company Secretary, ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate the production of the financial statements and act as a point of contact for independent review/audit.

Cash Flow Management:

• Manage cash flow to ensure the organisation's operational needs are met.
• Support the Board by making investment recommendations in line with the charity's financial goals.

Other

• Attending regular team meetings and events

Skills, qualifications, and experience

• A professional accounting qualification (CCAB or equivalent).
• Proven experience in financial management and bookkeeping, preferably in a charity context.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, financial modelling).
• Experience in performing month-end processes and reconciliations.
• Proven ability to identify and implement improvements in financial systems.
• Experience in educating and assisting non-financial team members in understanding financial systems.
