You’ll make taking part in events and carrying out volunteering easier and more enjoyable for our customers and volunteers with sight loss. You’ll take some of the stress and anxiety out of getting around and taking part in activities as a blind or partially sighted person. The help you give will encourage people to do more. What you’ll be doing • Sighted guiding / giving practical help to individuals in and around venues, so they can take part in events. • Supporting volunteers with sight loss with their volunteering activities which range from facilitating a regular community group to delivering a talk about sight loss to a local business. Your role would involve things like guiding; Meeting and greeting at group activities or creating a welcoming and interesting display stand at events. In this role you will only be helping individuals in places open to the public, often in a group setting. We will provide training in sighted guiding techniques and understanding sight loss. We are looking for a Head of Delivery, who can join our new charity start-up and help us build a solid foundation and help to create, design, develop and immpliment our core programmes at Unlock YOUR Potential, providing our key services to those who need it. This includes Employability and Enterprise Programme, Health and Well-Being Programme, Life Skills, Mentoring and Personal Development Programme.

As our Head of Delivery you will be responsible for the delivery and long-term strategy of Unlock YOUR Potential's programmes. You will be responsible for;

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of all programmes and services.
• Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to enhance our offerings.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve programme delivery and impact.
• Monitor and report on the outcomes and achievements of our programmes.
• Support the team in troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during programme delivery.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the delivery team.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience in programme/project management, preferably in the non-profit sector.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

We are seeking a talented and creative volunteer to join our team as a Graphic Designer. This is a one off or regular volunteer role and is crucial in designing a variety of urgent and important items such as social media posts and graphics, a guide booklet on Unlock YOUR Potential, branded documents like recruitment packs, participant forms, training manuals, internal posters (e.g., safeguarding and values), and much more. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design visually appealing and brand-consistent graphics for social media posts and other digital platforms.
• Create a comprehensive guide booklet on Unlock YOUR Potential.
• Develop branded documents including recruitment packs, participants forms, training manuals, and internal posters.
• Collaborate with the team to understand design requirements and deliver high-quality visuals.
• Ensure all designs align with our mission and values, effectively communicating our message to the community.

Citizens Advice Barnet seeks new Trustees to join the board to help our established local charity continue to provide its vital services to the diverse communities of Barnet.

Ever since we were founded in 1939, Citizens Advice Barnet has been providing free, confidential and impartial advice to people who live, work and study in Barnet, as well as campaigning on big issues affecting people’s lives by using the data we collect to influence policies and practices that affect the lives of people in Barnet. Our Vision is a borough where no resident suffers disadvantage as a result of an inability to access the advice they need.

With the ongoing cost of living crisis and political change our work has never been more necessary or more in demand. To respond properly, we feel the need to continue having a robust Board of Trustees and, in so doing, our capacity to lead. In particular, we are seeking a more active programme of engagement between the trustees and staff and volunteers and the Barnet community. We are seeking to recruit up to two new Trustees.

Our Trustees shape the strategic direction of Citizens Advice Barnet. The Board sets objectives and targets for the Chief Officer and monitors their progress. The Board also provides advice and guidance for the Chief Officer and Senior Leadership Team. The Board is collectively responsible for ensuring the financial health of the organisation and that the proper financial controls are in place.

We are seeking a Volunteer E-commerce Coordinator to support with the running of our online shop - a vital source of income to support animals in need. 

International Aid for the Protection & Welfare of Animals (IAPWA) is a UK-registered animal welfare charity dedicated to creating a better future for animals.

Our first project, established in 2009, is based in Borneo where we provide a lifeline to thousands of dogs and cats every year in need of veterinary care and support. Our projects and support programmes for other species have since developed in other parts of the world, including Romania, Penang Island, the Philippines, and Tanzania.

We have exciting plans for the future of our online shop, which will support our lifesaving fundraising, campaigning and awareness-raising work. It’s a great time to join the team. You’ll be able to have a real impact on our shop, helping drive measurable success as we grow and improve it.

Key responsibilities

• Product uploading. Adding new products to Shopify through our Print on Demand service Inkthreadable, writing product descriptions and uploading imagery.

• Managing Shopify. Making improvements to user journey, ensuring our policies and procedures are up to date, managing sales and discounts. 

• Customer service support. Responding to shop enquiries and returns requests.

• Planning. Supporting with planning and ideas for developing, expanding and improving the shop to maximise the money we can raise for animals in need.

Experience of Shopify and print on demand services would be an advantage, but training can be provided on the platforms we use. It is important to have excellent attention to detail, confidence with online platforms, and the ability to work independently.

We would ask that you commit 1-3 hours per week, with more time likely required during busy times, such as launching new shop ranges. While some tasks may be time sensitive, your hours can be flexible and can fit around your other commitments.
