Outreach and External Engagement Internship

Body & Soul is a charity dedicated to transforming the life-threatening effects of adverse childhood experiences. Whether someone has been neglected or abused, trafficked, attempted suicide, or stigmatised because of HIV – we have helped to liberate thousands of people from the trauma that controls them. Our community provides people of all ages with a wide range of innovative and creative programmes that support physical, mental, and emotional health and well-being. We have developed a ‘whole person’ model of care rooted in a strengths-based approach that nurtures connection, healing, and growth. Through building members’ protective factors, we promote and develop resiliency, interrupt latent vulnerability, and transform lives.

In this internship you will work alongside our Outreach and External Engagement team, to work with and further improve our connections with stakeholders, funders, and referral partners. The successful intern will be working to reach our funding targets for external and internal engagement.

Our intern will:

·       Be in regular communication with partners through events and newsletters.

·       Assist in building relationships with new partners and strengthening relationships with existing partners.

·       Assisting in the planning and delivery of our Open House events.

We are looking for an intern who:

• Has events and outreach knowledge/skills/experience, as well as an interest in creating positive and long-term relationships with charity partners.
• Is organised, good at multi-tasking and detail orientated. 
• Has an ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Is outgoing, confident, and has a creative mindset, willing to contribute innovative ideas.
• Is willing to take on responsibility and work independently.
• Able to commit three days a week for 3 months.

This is an unpaid internship; with expenses covered if needed. 

We offer regular learning and development opportunities for interns; designed to give a deeper insight into Body & Soul’s unique approach.

This intern role is for our Autumn intake, running from October- December 2024. Interviews will be held on the evening of 25th September.
