What will you do:
As Services Co-Ordinator, you will take the lead on two of Headway UK’s vital services. You will be responsible for processing applications to our Emergency Fund, which provides travel and hotel grants to family members, to support them to be at the bedside of loved ones, when their family member is in hospital, after acquiring a brain injury. Your role will include making recommendations for funding, signposting applicants onto other organisations, keeping detailed records and producing basic financial reports to highlight the Emergency Funds’ position throughout the year.
You will also lead the annual renewal of the Headway UK’s Solicitor’s Directory, ensuring it remains a vital resource for those seeking specialist solicitors with experience in handling brain injury cases.
You will work alongside colleagues within the wider Services Department to provide exceptional co-ordination and administrative support, to some of our direct services, including training and our network of local independent Headway charities and volunteer led branches.
On occasion you will also be required to work with the Project Lead for Brain Injury Identity Cards and assist with processing Brain Injury Identity Card applications.

3. Conference planning

c. Help promote the conference with members, partners and wider sector via newsletter and social media channels.
d. Manage bookings, participants list and send out conference pack.
e. Organise catering with venue and relevant workstream.
f. Coordinate conference logistics and event management.
4. Finance
a. Work closely with the Treasurer, Treasury group and bookkeeper in preparing financial reports.
b. Administer general accounts – invoices, receipts etc.
c. Manage conference budget.

It provides a lifeline to people living alone who might go for days at a time not seeing a single person.
Key Tasks:
- Client Assessments: You will support a caseload of clients from their initial referral through to the end of their time with us. This will involve processing referrals, conducting assessments, matching with volunteers and conducting ongoing six-monthly reviews. You will provide regular telephone contact whilst they are on our waiting list and signpost to appropriate services as required.
- Matching and Coordination: You will interview potential volunteer befrienders and work with the Lead Coordinator to successfully link them with individuals in Ealing who are experiencing isolation. You will monitor the matches through monthly reports from the volunteers and six-monthly client reviews.
- Support and Supervision: You will provide support to the volunteers when required, particularly during the first month of their match. After that you will conduct six-monthly reviews and ad hoc support.

Role Purpose
To develop and deliver all aspects of our Grandmentors project across London, ensuring it achieves its aims, objectives, outcomes, and targets. The post holder will work closely with the Virtual College and Leaving Care teams within London Borough Councils and local volunteers to ensure that we improve and empower the lives of care leavers (aged 16-25) through the unique power of inter-generational mentoring.

Are you passionate about supporting older people to develop and maintain their physical wellbeing? We are looking to recruit an Exercise at Home Coordinator, sitting within the Wellbeing & Connections team, to deliver a programme of activities that can support older people with mobility challenges through exercise at home.
The desired candidate will have a Level Three Fitness Qualification (PT) and will assist clients to gain confidence through movement, including chair-based exercise, and walking support for older frail clients in their home. The role is pivotal in enabling people with chronic conditions to become more active, and for people who have temporarily lost mobility to regain the confidence to walk. To ensure the ongoing effectiveness of this programme offer, the role will include training and supporting volunteers.
Role functions:
- Running our Exercise at Home programme – assessing new clients in their homes, prescribing exercise programmes for clients that align with their needs and goals, training volunteers to deliver the programmes, and managing the day-to-day running of the project.
- Delivering walking support sessions - these will be tailored to be accessible by those who have either recovered from a fall or have had surgery and need the confidence to access the community. These sessions will enable people to increase their mobility, whilst also having an opportunity to socialise with others in the local community. Training volunteers to assist clients with walking support will be a key part of the role.
- Co-ordinating other community-based physical wellbeing activities, including our monthly Flaneur Walks during the warmer months, and any new projects that arise.
- Networking with relevant local bodies, NHS trusts, GP clinics, and social services to make them aware of the services we provide and to strengthen our presence in the field.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and have at least one year’s experience of working with older people. A Level Three Fitness qualification is compulsory and a qualification in delivering exercise programmes for those with mobility issues would be advantageous.

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Schools Coordinator (Impact Officer) to work as the primary link between partner schools and the CYUK programme.
This youth social action charity challenges 18 to 25-year-olds to tackle educational inequality through a year of full-time social action. As mentors, tutors and role models in schools, they support pupils growing up in some of the most disadvantaged areas of the UK.

The Role
We have a rewarding opportunity for a School Impact Officer to train, support and develop volunteers, monitor the programme through effective administration, data management and to build a deep partnership between the school and the charity.
The Impact Officer is based predominantly in a school and is the primary link between the partner schools and the programme and is the enabler of the programme delivery. You will support a team of volunteer mentors, who support school activities by coordinating, managing and evaluating the programme.
The Volunteer Mentors also complete a Leadership and Development programme and you will work with them on a professional development plan to chart their continuous professional development and ready them for employment.
The role is primarily a school-based post from Monday to Thursday and is office based on most Fridays. See locations above.

FTWW: Fair Treatment for the Women of Wales is the only patient-led charity and disabled people’s organisation in Wales dedicated to achieving health equality for women, girls, and people registered female at birth.
Our Vision is for a Wales where everybody’s right to good health and wellbeing is respected and fulfilled, with everyone able to access the healthcare they need, when they need it, and without barriers.
The role of Charity Coordinator is a new one for FTWW. Our successful candidate will be happy to join a small, dedicated team, supporting existing staff, volunteers, and trustees in the administration of the charity. You will be key to developing policies and processes that will ensure the organisation is managed effectively and efficiently into the future.
We particularly welcome applications from those who are disabled, living with or having experience of long-term health issues.

We are looking for a compassionate and creative human to become an essential part of our Fundraising team, supporting us in achieving our fundraising strategy and financial targets. They will be passionate about building trusting and meaningful relationships which generate and grow income and committed to telling the story of how youth work changes lives.

Fundraising is human oriented and often reactive. We enjoy a high degree of flexibility and variety in our work. Responsibilities & objectives
● To develop into an essential point of contact for Oxfordshire Youth’s fundraising function and Fundraising and Communications team
○ Building relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
○ A strong story teller able to communicate passionately and persuasively in writing, verbally, via reports, and presentations
○ Collaborate with marketing, communications, youth led content, Youth Development and YPSA programme leads
○ Exercise good judgement
○ Be comfortable talking about money and handling sensitive information and situations with discretion
● To increase the efficiency and accuracy of Oxfordshire Youth’s donor stewardship capabilities
○ Collaborating on improvements to administrative systems, operations, processes, and policies
○ Taking ownership of ensuring that pledges, donations, payments, gift aid, thanking messages, impact statements, and other touchpoints are actioned and recorded in a detail oriented, thorough, reliable, and timely fashion
● Successfully manage a mixed fundraising portfolio, with training and support given as required
○ Oversee pipeline of smaller trust and grant applications valued at up to £15,000 each

What we are looking for

Support Coordinator
Here at Stroke Association, we’re looking for an innovative, passionate and professional individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join our Stroke Recovery Service based in the Salford area. This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following a stroke.
Position: S11201 Stroke Association Support Coordinator
Location: Home-based, Salford, however, frequent travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work related meetings)
Hours: Part-time, 21 hours per week (flexible working available)
Salary: Circa £16,043 per annum (FTE circa £26,700 per annum) (inner London weighting £2,370 per annum or outer London weighting £1,260 per annum may be applied in accordance to where you live)
Contract: This is a fixed-term maternity cover until 15 June 2025

The Role
The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes.
A key part of the role will be to recruit, train and manage a team of volunteers, to support service users and the delivery of the service.
The Stroke Association Support Coordinator will:
· Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.
· Provide personalised information, advice and support.
· Support clients to make informed lifestyle changes that will help them to prevent further strokes.
· Be accountable for volunteers, so experience of recruiting, training and managing volunteers would be an advantage.
About You
The post holder will have experience/background in:
· A caring profession, ideally with experience in supporting people with disabilities.
· Setting up and running support groups.
This role requires extensive travel across a large geographical locality to visit people at home and in community settings. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role.
