This is a temporary role to provide senior programme and people management for our delivery team at the British Institute of Human Rights (BIHR). The role is fixed term during our Head of Policy and Programme’s maternity leave.
BIHR is made up of a talented and experienced Delivery Team who are Human Rights Act (HRA) practice specialists. For this post we are looking for an excellent manager, committed to supporting a small, busy, expert team to deliver Human Rights Act (HRA) practice, communications and policy work.
Your operational management and strategic thinking are the primary skills and experience needed. You do not need to be a subject expert in the HRA; that is the job of our Delivery Team. You must however, like all of BIHR’s team, be a champion for our work and bring the skills, knowledge and experience needed to support our team in the planning and delivery of BIHR’s objectives
This is an exciting role for someone with established management experience in the charity/voluntary sector, with a keen interest in UK human rights.

The Senior People and Culture Manager is a key member of the Charity’s management team. Post Summary
Free Tibet is a small but effective campaign organisation based in south London. We’re looking for a Fundraising Manager who can transform our routine fundraising and lead expert strategies for income generation. This role is best suited to an experienced fundraiser who is confident in managing multiple streams of income and a small team. We welcome applications from candidates with diverse professional backgrounds, but you need to have worked in a fundraising management role before.
We are currently implementing a pay grading system at Free Tibet, offering increases with each year of service. The salary for this position starts at up to £45,000 based on the successful candidate’s experience.
Location
Our main office is in Brixton, south London. Oversee all income-generation activity across Free Tibet and Tibet Watch. Ensure continuous improvement and innovation and an appropriate balance of fundraising activity across all streams. Current streams include postal appeals, online appeals, and the Free Tibet online shop.

We’re looking for a creative, dynamic and enthusiastic comms professional to join us on our mission to ensure no child or young person ever has to grieve alone. As our Brand & Marketing Manager you will be at the forefront of growing and developing the Winston’s Wish brands and find new and innovative ways to reach the children and young people who need us. This is a varied and fast-paced role where no two days will be the same.
From sharing the voices of our incredible Youth Ambassadors far and wide, to marketing fantastic fundraising initiatives to identifying new opportunities to reach young people, you’ll play a fundamental role in ensuring bereaved children and young people know they can put their trust in Winston’s Wish when their worlds are turned upside down by grief.
Main Responsibilities
- Marketing outreach and project management

Income & Business Development Manager
£40-42k, 37.5 hours per week, Thornton (L23).
St. Joseph's Hospice Merseyside is the oldest and largest hospice on Merseyside, providing specialized end-of-life care for patients with a wide range of life-limiting conditions. The hospice's 31-bed Inpatient Unit is located in a beautiful setting within a conservation area and 12 acres of natural woodland in Thornton, Merseyside. The hospice's specialist healthcare teams care for over 200 patients and their families from across Liverpool, Sefton, and West Lancashire every year. Our services are free to our patients and it costs around £10k per day to run the hospice.
With the changing horizon of Fundraising, this is a new role for the hospice and pivotal to our future income generation activity for the Charity. The Income & Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to raise funds and secure partnerships for the hospice. They will lead the existing Hospice fundraising team, identify new sources of income, build and maintain relationships with donors and supporters, and manage fundraising events.

About you and the role

You will be supported by our Director of Transformations, and manage our Chef Trainers who deliver our School Chef Educator Programme. You will work closely with the Director of Partnerships & Impact, our School Engagement Manager and our Research Supervisor, to identify and liaise with suitable funding partners, academies and schools, and ensure we are monitoring and evaluating our programme delivery to evidence it’s impact and ensure quality delivery across the cohorts that take part.
Your role will oversee our School Chef Educator Programmes, delivered across England. This role will be primarily focused in London, but will include supporting schools in locations across the UK as we develop new hubs. An average week in this role might see you attending meetings with new partners to secure support for new programmes, sourcing venues for training days, scheduling programme delivery dates, identifying and contacting schools in our programme delivery areas to sign up their kitchen teams to our programme, developing new content on our learning management system, attending webinars our Chef Trainers are delivering, and supporting Chef Trainers with our in-person kick off sessions, and graduation celebrations.

Key responsibilities:

● Working with the Chief Innovation Officer, the Chef Trainers across all our programmes and the wider Chefs in Schools network to identify current and future skills requirements for the school kitchen workforce.
● Developing and/or commission relevant training materials to keep our programme up to date and develop new programmes that complement our organisational strategy.
● Plan, and manage the continued iterative development of our School Chef Training programme. Lead on programme design, monitoring performance and adjusting our approach as necessary for future cohorts.

Terms and Conditions
- Location: This role can be based at the MAF UK Offices in Folkstone, Kent or optionally could be in the Oxford, Cambridge arc as we seek to launch a new hub in the Milton Keynes area, maximising our engagement with a thriving local aerospace and charity sector region.
